My wife and I were looking to remove an old driveway, dig out a new one and in the process regrade our entire property. George Lasky (owner) was recommended to us by a neighbor. George came out to the house several times to meet with me before starting the work in order to capture our full requirements as well as make his own recommendations until we could agree on the scope of the work. In addition to the work we wanted to do, George recommended running all of our downspouts into underground pipes and running all the rain water out to the woods while he had the trucks there. He also listened to our long term plans which included putting in a patio and he recommended he dig out and lay process for the patio now while he had his trucks on site and before our new driveway was paved so we would not have to deal with it at a later date. That way we were all set to lay down the pavestone next year. Once the scope was agreed, he presented an exact price for the work (not an estimate) so I knew exactly what I needed to pay when he finished. George and one other worker performed the work over three days at the house. During the time, I felt I could go back and forth to my office as needed and did not have to keep an eye on the work. George reached out to me when he encountered situtations where a decision on approach needed to be made and we discussed and agreed next steps. George left our property in great shape and exactly as we requested. He presented a bill that matched the original price he quoted. In addition he provided recommendations for paving companies for the asphalt and lanscapers for seed. The entire job was a great experience for me end to end. It's not often you require excavation work at your house but if I ever did I would go back to Lasky and not look elsewhere.
