Description of Work: Action Electric did two jobs. Both were installing additional outlets. They were on time, quick and tidy. Will absolutely use them again for any electrical work needed on the house.

Description of Work: We needed to have 10 hard-wired smoke detectors replaced with new ones which were at varying ceiling heights up to 16 feet. Derek stopped by same day as our call to give us an estimate which was equal to the lowest of the 4 estimates we received. Derek arrived exactly on time on the day of the installs and completed the work quickly and professionally in minimal time. He was very friendly and helpful regarding our electrical questions. We will definitely call him again whenever we need an electrician.

Description of Work: I called and spoke with the owner to set up an appointment. He told me that he would call me back in a few days to set up a time and day. He never called. I guess that he didn't want the job.

Description of Work: Inspection revealed no significant wiring issues but all my smoke dectector and c02 detectors were non-functional(as I had suspected). |Derrick replaced all of these with new ones plus he installed three new light fixtures to replace old ones that did not give enough light. |He also spent quite a bit of time trying to get information to reprogram the key pad for my garage door opener unfortunately to no avail as the system is so old that the information is not availabe. He said he would keep looking. I was impressed that he went to the trouble to try to fix this problem.

Description of Work: Derek installed some new outlets to hook up a washer and dryer. He provided excellent work for the price and was able to show up in a timely manner when nobody else would even call me back. Definitely recommend!

Description of Work: We needed an additional basement outlet installed for a new chest freezer. As our regular electrician was booked, we gave Action a try. We asked Derek to check that the circuit could handle another outlet without problems. He said it would be fine, so we went ahead with the install. The job was completed quickly and in one visit. | |Honestly, we were a bit nervous using a new electrician since we have used the same one since we purchased our home. Our house has aluminum wiring, so we have to be careful to use experienced contractors. Even though Derek was working on a big job, he was able to squeeze us in. He was a pleasure to deal with and we appreciated him working with his other client to accommodate our schedule.
