Description of Work: We had them put in Air Conditioning and Replace a very old heater. They also had to put in 2 vents to the outside to get the house up to code. Everything was done quickly and professional. They passed inspection the first time.

Description of Work: Rob, finally figured out why my house heating system was not keeping my house warm. I have had three heating contractors here and none of them could fix the heat nor could they figure out why the boiler was not working correctly. I had been told that both thermostats (zones) were wired together. That is wrong they are wired individually and the boiler was turned down too low to heat my house. Rob checked everything out and stayed long enough to be sure that the heat was really working correctly. He was professional and even called the following day to be sure that everything was working correctly. I have finally found a heating contractor that I trust. I will always call Quality West in the future for my heating problems.

Description of Work: During one of the coldest days in February, my furnace kept making a funny clicking noise and just would not start. I called QualityWest and talked with Angie who was very patient and helpful and attempted to fix my issue over the phone; unfortunatly, it did not work but I very much appreciated her effort to save me the cost of a service call. She was able to send Rob out later that day to check my furnace and he determined that the cause was due to a dirty filter which I had neglected to replace for quite some time. My furnace worked well for a couple of weeks and then stopped. Rob came back out and made a quick fix without any additional charge. Despite my concerns as to whether I might need a new furnace, Rob did not try to sell me a new furnace but instead, was honest and informed me that I did not need a new furnace, which I appreciated. Rob even followed up with a call the next day to make sure my furnace was still working. I very much appreciate this company's professionalism and honesty and will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: I bought an advertised tuneup for my furnace, which is a 9 year old Rudd. I reviewed this company on Nov 5, 2012 and gave them a pretty good review considering that they wanted to change my appointment day. They called me on the scheduled day to try to change days (I had taken off work for this appointment). They accommodated me and arrived within the time frame we had previously agreed upon. However, they did not have a much needed filter to replace my old one. I ordered 2 from them to be delivered to me on a day when they were not so busy. I waited for that day but they did not get back with me. Consequently, I went on line and found the exact filters for half the price. I was still happy. On Christmas day our furnace would not put out any hot air, and we were having a large gathering at our house that afternoon. I believe that if the maintenance had been done completely and thoroughly we would not have had this problem. I tried to get two different 24-hour heating companies to come out but only got answering machines. My house was 50 degrees and getting colder. My son went on the internet and deduced that the problem was probably the flame sensor, which it was. I believe that this should have been cleaned during the routine maintenance to avoid having the very problem we were having. That is why one does routine maintenance; to avoid problems such as this. My furnace is now working fine, but I will not use this company again. I feel that they did accommodate me on my scheduled day, but did not do a thorough job, as they had such a fully scheduled day. They really dropped the quality with me.

Description of Work: Our central air conditioner started just blowing hot air out of the vents. When I checked outside, I noticed the compressor was not coming on at all and tried everything to get it to come on with no luck. I was absolutely convinced the compressor had gone bad because it was about 10 years old. So I called Quality about 2 in the afternoon and TOLD them I had a bad compressor and they had a person show up by pm that evening (and they called an hour ahead just to make sure I was around). Within 20 minutes, he found that it was just a bad capacitor and replaced it on the spot and it cranked up just fine after that. He also completely inspected the system and performed a maintenance check for the heater with winter coming up for no additional cost. He spent a considerable amount of time walking me through what he was doing and explained what I could do to make sure the equipment lasts as long as possible. I had already spent the money on the compressor and anyone could have said it was bad and I would have replaced it....This firm was truly honest and did not try in any fashion to nickel or dime me to death with incidental charges. I very rarely recommend companies, but I am doing here without question. I am well on my way to purchasing a year around maintenance policy with them as well...awesome experience which is very rare these days.

Description of Work: We hired them to do our fall furnace tune up in one of Angie's Big Deals. They determined our fan motor was pulling too many amps and needed to be replaced, so we hired them on the spot, and they got it done the same day.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List Deal for a 28 point furnace check. My furnace was installed Aug 1979 (Rheem Brand) - so it's done the house proud. But Safety First! Garon was the technician that came out to perform the service. He was in my crawl space for about 15 minutes and informed me that I had a cracked Heat Exchange. I have a CO detector inside my home that would warn me of any danger. This has never gone off in the two years (winter seasons) I have lived here. But... I also felt it was time to replace the furnace. So I asked Garon what my options for replacement were and what they could offer. I opted to have a replacement furnace installed and used Quality West. The work was done in a timely manner - just in time for our first cold snap. I'm happy with their service and I would use them again.
