I have used Dakota Ridge for several of my cars/trucks over the past 3 years and have always been satisfied with the professionalism and repair. Their repairs are what is quoted and most times have fixed the problems that were presented. They go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied with the repair. They also look for ways to save money with refurbished parts if you request that they do so.

If you enjoy many trips back and forth to have something repaired correctly while you're going without your car, this is the place to go. Also, if you want to increase stress and waste A LOT of time, go to Dakota Ridge Auto.
They will tell you to come get  your car, and then you realize after you have driven away that they did not complete the job.  For example, your  "maintenance required" light will still be on.  They tell you when to bring it in, then they don't get to you in a timely manner and so you have to leave. Finally, I dropped it off in the morning, and they said they would bring the car back to me where I work. I said I can get it over my lunch hour but they assured me they could bring it to me. 20 minutes before our office closed, I realized they had still not returned my car, and I had a dinner date in less than an hour. I called them and they said they were on their way. I ended up needing a ride to my dinner date and they took my car back to their business. 
When I got my car back, there was no apology, my car was filthy and the gas light was on.  They obviously had been driving it for awhile which is strange because I don't work far from their business.
Unfortunately, because I had a flat tire that was under warranty through them I had to go back. They had to order my new tire, so when I came in to get it, they needed to change my spare tire and put on the new tire, which was the whole purpose of my visit.My car was pulled into the bay where I thought they were doing just that, but when I got home I realized that the spare tire which was a different brand with a different tread was left on my car and they put the replacement tire in the back spare tire compartment.  I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!  So I called the manager, "TJ" and told him what happened and he did not apologize or have any ounce of remorse, and just told me to bring it back at a time that he has time in one of his bays.  With every mistake they make he never apologizes and acts very smug about their business operations. It is disgusting and has given me nothing but stress and a waste of valuable time. I write this review to spare people of the stress and disappointment of Dakota Ridge Auto. I ended up getting my tires changed CORRECTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY  by Les Schwab Tires and they let me know that the spare tire placed on my car was 9lbs less in PSI than the other 3 tires.  It is unsafe and it is actually against the law to have different tires with different tread in the front unless it is temporary, eg, when using a spare tire.  WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO SPEND MY DAY WITH THE SCREW UPS OF DAKOTA RIDGE AUTO.

I have always been completely satisfied with Dakota Ridge automotive. Their prices are much better than the dealer, they provide drop-0ff service, and always give a free car wash with any service. They only do the work you want done, and provide very high quality work. I have been coming here for the past six years with various cars and plan on coming back.

I brought my truck in because the engine is making a terrible banging sound.  After the inspection, they came back with about $3,000 of estimated repair but they couldn't specifically tell me what the cause was of the banging and one of the answers I got was something about cold air coming through the engine.  I asked about the most import issues to fix and never got a straight answer, so I decided on a couple of things that ended up costing just under $1,000.  I don't know much about cars so I can only assume the work was done but the banging sound has continued since and the $1,000 included the $50 inspection cost.  I would have thought if you spend around $1,000, the inspection fee would have been waived but maybe that's normal.  The staff was nice and everything was done timely but I have to question the cost and the actual work since I haven't noticed a difference. 

The service was quick and they let us know what they found a couple things that were wrong but gave us no pressure when we decided not to do the work at this time. They have always been professional when we have taken our cars to them.

They quoted me $488 to replace corroded battery cables. I called the Hyundai dealer who quoted me $245 for the same work, but said you can usually repair them for cheaper. When I told Dakota this they said that I had a rare occasion where it is cheaper to replace the cables than repair them and then quoted $240. I agreed so I wouldn't have to tow my car again. When I picked up the car they told me they had saved me some money by repairing rather than replacing the positive cable. They still charged me around $230 with a coupon. They really seemed to be making things up. What scares me is I've used them before and don't even want to know how much I was overcharged the past couple of years.

They were excellent.  It took them a couple of days and I was fine with that.
