This project was pretty simple - replace some water-damaged drywall in our basement, replace trim, and repaint. We chose DCS because they initially were very responsive and indicated that the job would A) cost approximately $1900, and B) be done in "1 to 2 weeks". A month and $3200 later, the job is done. And it's done ok, I suppose. Mudding drywall isn't rocket science and it looks fine. But the costs inflated by more than 50%, and the work was done 2 weeks late. DCS did not return phone calls from either us or our tenants, and as a final insult they refused to accept credit cards without tacking on a 4% fee - something they had not told us when we specifically mentioned we wanted to pay by credit card when we initially contacted them. Bottom line - lots of people can do basic handyman stuff and charge what they say they will. Lots of people can get simple work done on time and answer the phone. DCS is not one of those companies.
