The small kitchen roller blind that I ordered, and paid for, in Oct. 2011 was finally installed in June 2012, eight months later. The initial estimate for completion was 3 weeks. Apparently the blind was manufactured several times with flaws. During the entire process of procuring a satisfactory product I didn't sense at all that Vanessa was my advocate in getting the job done correctly. Months passed when I didn't hear from her with a progress report. I had to call her to find out what was happening and those calls seemed to initiate an investigation on her part because she didn't have readily available information. She always had to call me back and that was often as much as a week later. I set aside time in my schedule for subsequent installation appointments during which Vanessa would get all the way to my house with the product only to discover further problems with the blind that she'd had in her possession. On one occasion we had to schedule around her middle of the day exercise class. The only time I had the benefit of a professional installer was on the initial installation when the first flaw was discovered. Subsequent installations were handled only by Vanessa with a minimum of tools, no stool or ladder, and very little ability to use the tools she brought. Twice she wanted to stand in my sink to get the job done. When this project finally came to a close Vanessa suggested that I should call the manufacturer's rep. to determine if I could be given a discount for my time and trouble. That definitely should have been Vanessa's job because I contracted with her to do the entire job. I did end up getting receiving a minimal percentage allowance which Vanessa couldn't even compute correctly.Through this experience with Vanessa at Budget Blinds Of Denver I learned that Vanessa does not possess the skills to own and operate her own franchise. I wouldn't recommend doing business with this franchise.
