Lousy the technician told me that it would cost 1200.00 to fix and it may not work. Then tried to sell me a new furnace. So he left us without heat. Another company came out and all it was is that the burner just needed to be cleaned which was part of the service that I paid for. I was totally ripped off by this company. Not only didn't they perform the service I paid for if I had not gotten a second opinion I would be out thousands of dollars needlesly. Total rip off

Without ever opening the panel on the furnace, the tech told me he may have to condemn it. The filter he brought was left sitting by the furnace, he did not install it. Presumably because he said I shouldn't be using the furnace; however, I had another HVAC company come out and they said it was safe to use - which I did for another couple of weeks until I got a new furnace. The new company quoted me half of what the tech quoted me for a new furnace, plus they did extra work at very little cost (added another heat register, reinstalled some duct work).

This guy was unsure of his skill set . he had to call another service provider to get instructions. Then , he kept trying to sell 2,400 dollars of some products that I refused to buy, twice.
Description of Work: Furnace tune up, installation of pressure tank. The service guy was late, the office staff was sarcastic, they didn't know I was listening. They said"this guy called 5 times " if their technician had showed up on time, or called, I would not of had to track him down.

There was nothing wrong with my furnace, I thought it might be wise to make sure everything was in order, so I purchased the furnace tune-up deal. The technician was very polite and professional, and informed me the heat capacitor needed to be replaced. The capacitor he offered to install--right then--was $135. A 7.5 heat capacitor retails for approximately $10 and I am still trying to determine if I actually need one; the furnace is only 9 years old. I have called the company that installed the furnace to help me with the issue. I can only assume he was told by the Heat Depot to find something wrong with the furnace to make up for the $59 deal. In addition, the tune-up came "with new filter" and "Includes installation of a new carbon monoxide detector." Didn't get either one. This service call was very reminiscent of taking my car to be serviced; something is always found to be wrong and will cost $$ to fix.

My furnace was too old for a normal tune up. It wouldn't even show up on their list of equipment. It's an old gravity fed that still worked but very inefficiently. He provided quite a bit of information and made recommendations for an up grade. Very professional, friendly and helpful.

Just the facts sir: The tech was pleasant but on at least three occasions in the first ten minutes implied I should consider replacing furnace. Finally stopped when I flat out told him we were not replacing the unit. Due to water leaking from upper part of furnace out through bottom of furnace (admittedly a big problem) tech advised I should replace the condensing unit (N coil or V coil I think he called it) for AC that sits above the furnace so as not to damage the furnace with water. Cost $3000 but if I did it in the off season $2500. I agree in principle it needed to be fixed but I cut out the drain pvc from this unit and found a 70% occlusion in the P trap likely causing the unit to not drain correctly. Replumbed the drain for $6 in pvc. Blower motor capacitor tested outside of allowances (it did as I rechecked it with my capacitor tester). Tech advised $125 to replace it. I purchased it from Amazon for $10 including shipping (Cap was actually $5). So is any of this wrong? I don't know. With the exception of pushing the big ticket items so hard when they may have been fixed for much less the things he brought up were legit. A point of clarification the tech was from the Aurora office not the Colorado Springs office. I'm just really tired of not knowing which tradesmen are legit and which are trying to rip you off. I'm not saying he was but I just don't know, pushing the furnace and coil replacements so hard. Nice guy though.

I had a new furnace installed by a different company a couple years ago. I had to pay extra for an annual inspection and tune up. When that company came they told me that my furnace needed to be cleaned and it would be an extra $200. This seemed strange to me since we only had it for 2 years. I contacted the heat depot to do this for a much lower price. When I talked to them on the phone they told me that they include this service when they install new furnaces. When the guy came out to look at it he showed me how clean it was and told me that it really didn't need it. I was super disappointed in the other company and have been ever since we got our new furnace. It is good to find a company that you can trust and I wish I would have found them prior to using the other!

I had them over to inspect my water heater for issues. They found some issues with the water heater, and rather than try and get me to buy a new one, they said that they could fix it themselves. That showed to me that these guys are honest workers. They are coming back today to fix the water heater and to do an inspection on my furnace. I used the heat depot , in Colorado springs, Colorado, last week. I had two service calls . the first was excellent. The next day, # 2 came to enact repairs. He arrived 25 minutes late. He nor his office called me. I had to call the office for an update. This guy had to call numerous times to the first the technician for directions. Then I overheard a call to his office. The lady on the other end said" this guy called 5 times" she wasn't aware that she was on speaker and I am that guy. This was sarcasm, obviously. I wouldn't have to call if they respected me as a customer. On top of this, this second service guy had all the fineness of a bad used car sales person. He did a furnace inspection and kept pushing a$ 2,400 stop leak process after I told him I was not interested. The service provider should stick to the technology of the job at hand and not try the high pressure sales of a time share presentation.. And , after all of that is said, I would not recommend this company. I am older , but not gullible. I think in this town,we have a lot of retirees and seniors, and some contractors see gray hair and equate this to dollar signs.

I originally had Heat Depot come out to maintain my boiler through an Angie's List special. The technician was very knowledgeable and did a great job. He then showed me the problems with my boiler (which was very old) and recommended that I have it replaced. He was incredibly thorough and also discovered a small gas leak that I had been completely unaware of. I called Black Hills Energy to verify the gas leak, then called Heat Depot and they promptly came out and repaired the leak. The technician gave me a bid to replace the boiler and I had him add my water heater to the bid since it was the same age as the boiler and I had been considering its replacement for a while. His bid included both the boiler and a side-arm water heater. I got 3 additional bids from other companies, but chose Heat Depot. I am so glad I chose them! They did a fantastic job, got it done in one day, and cleaned up afterwards to the extent that I could hardly tell they had been there except for the new boiler and side-arm water heater. Over the next couple of days, I noticed the hot water to my kitchen sink took quite a while to get hot compared to what it was before everything was replaced. I called heat depot and they were out within a few days, found the problem, and fixed it immediately. Now the water gets hot within a few seconds, even better than it did before. The next day I discovered one of the zones in my house was not heating properly. Again, after I called Heat Depot, they were out within a couple of hours and located and fixed the problem. I have been exceedingly impressed with their responsiveness and promptness. They are a hard-working, knowledgeable, friendly, and cooperative crew with a great deal of technical expertise. The office personnel have been extremely courteous, understanding, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Heat Depot!

Mike and Jerimiah were extremely professional during install. Like any other job, unexpected issues come up. These two professionals stayed late until the job was done and we ended up with the best service we've had in Colorado!! That's saying a lot from a Colorado Native. The price was second to none and the service was just amazing. Very Respecftfully, Darrell and Sharen
