Import Specialty Auto

We've taken vehicles (a 70's Volvo and a couple Toyota trucks) to Import Specialty for many years and they've always given us stellar, no nonsense service.

This was one of the best Mercedes experiences I've every had. Eric was very professional from the tow in, kept me up to date, provided an itemize list of things that needed to be done, gave me the option to repair or not with them. Iwas very pleased with the experience and will very much use their services again. Further recommend as an honest place to get your specialty car repaired.

Very poorly. I went back a few times after they replaced my water pump, with the same problem I had before they replaced the water pump. I asked for my original parts back as it is Colorado state law they must provide the original parts back to the owner. Parts never provided. They said it was my fault I still had the problem because I was adding too much coolant. If the problem was the water pump, then why did I keep getting coolant level low warning on the vehicle. And in fact the coolant level was low per the fill level on the tank, which is very east to see and read. I disputed the charges with my credit card company, no refund. No help from this company. I took my car to another mechanic, they found a leak in the cooling system. I will never use this company again and I would never recommend them to anyone.

I am so pleased to finally find a reputable auto mechanic that informs me of repairs that are truly necessary and doesn't try to "up sell" on services that my Lexus 350RX doesn't need, unlike another well known mechanic in town (starts with an "A"), who wanted to install new brakes entirely to the tune of thousands of dollars more. Import Specialty Auto found the right wheel bearing was failing. I asked them to perform an alignment and they found the rear struts were also leaking hydraulic fluid. The brakes were fine and did NOT need to be replaced. They also provided a courtesy shuttle to my office and home up north, which is rare. I would highly recommend Import Specialty Auto to anyone who has an import and wants their car to be well maintained without breaking the bank! They were honest, courteous and very professional. I plan to take my Infiniti to them for service as well! They have definitely earned my business!

I've had no issues. They provided excellent service. They were excellent. They have loaners available. They're willing to talk about the repairs, show you the repairs. There's nothing hidden. When you say you can't afford things, they work with you.

I have gone to Import Specialty for approximately 20 years. They are a very reputable, honest and friendly service provider. If the problem is complex as my issue was this last time they keep working on it until it is right. Excellent service. Highly recommend it.

Based on recent problems with service from local dealer, I was looking for a reputable shop to work on my BMW. Import Specialty Auto quoted me less than half the price the dealer was going to charge for the same work. They did a great job, quickly, and for the price quoted.

They were very good. I really didn’t have any kind of dislikes.

I had taken my car to a Nissan dealer and they told me so many things that would have been so expensive and so I called Import Specialty. They went to the Nissan dealer and got the car back for me to their place of business and fixed it for me. The cost would have been around 2000$, but they did it for 500$. That is the kind of quality and integrity that they have.

ISA saved me over $1,000 in a used car purchase. I brought the car from the used car dealer to ISA at around noon. They taxi'ed me to and from my place while they did the 2-3 hour inspection. They provided a list of potential issues along with the cost to fix the issues. They clarified which issues needed to be taken care of now and which issues could wait. This inspection provided me a tremendous amount of bargaining power with the dealer. I was able to get the total price down and have much of the work completed by the dealer prior to purchase.

We bought a used BMW and they're only the one that fixes BMW. They're lot more reasonable price than the BMW dealer. They have reasonable service, accurate and knowledgeable information. The thing that we like best is that they arrange things like from what the safety issue that needs to be address the soonest because it's the safety issue rather than a maintenance issue. So if we have like 5 things wrong these are the two safety issues that we are more concerned about because they have do it. Like our tail light system was going out and we didn't know we didn't have brake lights type of thing. So, they do it that way and they kind of let you and then they try to work with you. If you do it more in one time they give you a discount type of thing they try to help you out that way.

Overall, I was very impressed with the shop. When calling them on the phone, they were very willing to answer whatever questions they could. I eventually went to the shop with the owner of the vehicle I wanted to purchase. We both talked with the mechanics about relative/potential costs already known about the vehicle and the price for inspecting it. They showed me the check list with its detailed criteria they use to determine maintenance needs. After they were finished, the mechanic at the reception desk went over the check list with me to talk about what they discovered and how much each would cost to resolve. They are pricey, but very worthwhile. If you have any doubt about what might be going on with your vehicle, they are the ones to go to and get it resolved.

The diagnosed the problem as timing chain and wanted over $2000 to fix it. I took it to Al Demark and they fixed it for $1000. I will never use this shop. Don't pay their outrageous costs. Do shop around.

Being new to the area, I wasn't sure where to go for reliable service. But something wasn't right with my brakes since I arrived in Colorado after driving three days, and I needed to know what. These guys are great! Eric answered my questions over the phone and I scheduled a brake inspection. (If you need service and they perform it, the price of the inspection is credited to the service.) After the inspection, they called with my options and performed the service I chose. Service was prompt, too! A very courteous and professional business. I didn't feel I was being taken advantage of, which was my main concern (being a woman, and new to the area). They didn't try to sell me additional services, just what I needed. They even helped me find my way to my next errand that day! The price seemed very good compared to pricing I had seen online at brake shops.

The service at Import Specialty Auto went great! I had found them in the independent magazine (local magazine) and decided to call them for a quote on my 97 Honda Accord. I needed to get a time change timing belt done and also change the water pump while they were in there. They did all the service and even offered a Military discount! I was concerned on some of the work and they were very willing to show me while the car was in the garage what problems were seen by the mechanic before continuing. The loaner cars they give you are in good mechanical condition and get you where you need to go while your car is being worked on! The car has been running great and I will take my car to them again when serious work needs to be done at a fair price.

Excellent. Got the recommendation from Angie's list - and it was as positive an experience as all the reviews here said. Great staff, knowledgeable, trustworthy guys that really knew my car well and were focused on good work and good customer service. Price was about right - I don't know if it was high or low but I know it was way less than the dealer in town offered to fix these things for.

Volvo was incredibly customer friendly and offered us a loaner while they fixed our car. The price they offered was nearly a third less than what another places offered and the car is completely fixed.

They were very professional gave me an estimate with details, well before the job was done. They were reasonably priced the first time, but their prices seemed a little higher the second time. I may consider using them in future.

When I call them for an appointment, they always know who I am and they remember which car I have. It is nice for a service provider to remember me by my name. The cost for getting my car fixed is a lot cheaper than going to the dealership. There are really quality mechanics there. They have lender cars that they will lend me. If I call them and say that I need to bring my car on a Wednesday, they usually give me a lender car but they are not always available. They are really nice and knowledgeable people. They have a high level of integrity and hey give a military discount as well and that is a lot of bonus.

I've used them numerous times. They are very good. I plan on using them again. My boyfriend also likes them, and takes his saab there.
