Description of Work: They carpeted a finished basement and staircase, as well as replaced two old tubs with new tiled shower enclosures. We couldn't be happier.

Description of Work: Floorcraft has done two jobs for me over the past five years: installing hardwood flooring and cork flooring. They are terrific, nothing to complain about at all. I go there first for flooring needs and recommend them without reservation.

Description of Work: My basement flooded after a super-storm. There was carpet in the basement which was destroyed. I was aware of Floor Craft's excellent reputation, so I went to them. I discussed with them that I did not want to put carpet back in the basement. John spent a lot of time with me going over alternative materials. He knows his products! We agreed that a laminate floor that floats is most appropriate since any wet spots can simply be picked up, dried out and then reinstalled. The installers were on time, had a professional appearance and also knew their stuff. Job was finished promptly. John was so good at measuring that there were only a few pieces left (which everyone needs a few extra pieces of material in case of any future damage). I understand that some companies way over measure and then the homeowner is stuck with a lot of remaining materials (and cost). Two and a half years later my floor is still great. I will use Floor Craft again soon to do my upper floors.

Description of Work: I finally turned to Angie's List after exhausting my patience with "big box" stores like Home Depot and Lowe's and local independent stores. Each of these categories proved either to have minimal knowledge about options available to me (I was quite open to what to do for flooring for my entire house) or were content to let me roam in their store and ask questions if I had any (I'd been doing that before getting to their store, so that was quite frustrating). Interruptions from other customers was time consuming and exasperating. Finally thru Angie's List I found Floor Craft, and what a marvelous difference. First in the door I met up with John Whitlock, a sales rep, who (bless his heart) patiently dragged me all around their extensive showroom to show me what kinds of options I had for hard floors (wood, wood laminates, tiles). When he could see I was very tired, he sat me in a most comfortable chair and proceeded to bring a massive variety of samples to me, giving me the pros and cons of all. Then he made many phone calls to check availability (they had all in stock, but not in the quantity I needed for an entire house). Time was of the essence since I was living in a hotel until flooring was completed, so he worked diligently to meet my needs. My final choice was a porcelain tile that required our getting the P.O. in within two hours or else another full week would go by. John didn't miss a beat and followed me to my new house, in a beginning snow storm, measured all the rooms, and got the order for tile in with 30 minutes to go! He worked magic in getting a crew to start work as soon as the tile arrived five days later. He even came to my hotel to pick up garage opener and key so I didn't need to go out in the snow storm once they were ready to start work. He followed up regularly with the crew to ensure all was coming along, and let me know the status. It took 8 days over two weeks to complete the process and I am thoroughly pleased with it. This is not a discount store so the price is high, but it definitely reinforces that you get what you pay for. And it looks absolutely beautiful!!! My thanks to John and his colleagues for a very fine, professional effort on my behalf. I will definitely look to this company for future like needs. Thank you.
