It was more of a challenge for them as the floors had been covered up for many years by carpet. They were able to match them perfectly to the existing floors in the remainder of the house. Express refinishing provided outstanding service! By far the best home improvement company weâ ve had in our home. The quote was honored even after wood prices have sky rocketed. Their commutation was outstanding! They gave me ETAâ s every morning and we on time or early, and cleaned up every evening. They worked over the weekend and came back right away by to fix minor issues. We are very happy with the work that was done of refinishing and installing new hardwood. You would never know where the old hardwood was and new wood begins. I would definitely recommend using express refinishing for all your flooring needs!! Wish they had other specialties.

We highly recommend this company. The whole team delivered excellent service in every way and their work is impeccable. Our floors look fabulous and the price was more than fair!

Cristiano contracted with me to refinish existing wooden flooring and replace almost 1200 sq ft of carpet with comparable hardwood flooring. The negotiated quote was reasonable and they finished the work in about 10 days including finishing. However, one small area on a high traffic and high visibility area of the living/kitchen space was substantially depressed and I wanted that fixed. Cristiano maintained that it was due to uneven subfloor (obviously it was due to over-sanding) and got the area refinished once again, but the issue just got worse. Cristiano acted understandingly and we agreed to tear up the portion of the flooring and redo it. This meant getting additional wood and acclimatizing it for over a week inside the house. After a week, the sub-floor was levelled by inserting a cardboard sheet and the boards were re-laid for the defective portion. The whole floor was re-sanded and refinished once again. Ironically, the result was worse than it was earlier. Cristiano got a different team to again re-finish the flooring once again and the new team managed to make it presentable. However, within a week time, that floor area started creaking and squeaking and there were noticeable gaps between many of the floor boards. After repeated calls and messages, Cristiano came over finally after 3 weeks and was in a foul mood complaining that it was all my fault asking him to redo the floor. His talk and actions were thoroughly unprofessional and shattered whatever goodwill he had built with me till then. He put a few headless screws on the loose floor boards and walked away. Though it was only a couple of weeks after finishing the flooring, he maintained that the gaps between boards were due to lack of humidity, which I don t agree with. After that, within the next two weeks, I noticed that a board that he had put screws had popped up loose. I messaged him and told him that this needed to be fixed properly, even if it meant that I pay for it. He came over after ten days and put another screw on the loose board and said it was all fixed. His approach was unfriendly and curt. When I brought up the issue of gaps appearing in more and more areas, he insisted that it was the nature of the wood and I need to get a humidifier for the whole house. When pressed, he did not provide any solution for resolving the issues and instead he walked out angrily. A job that should have been completed in less than 10 days displaced us for over a month and the final result had been pathetic. Most importantly, Cristianos changed attitude when faced with issues due to his faulty work is inexcusable. He came highly recommended, but my experience has been very bad. I would be spending much more than what I probably saved to get the issues fixed by someone else who knows what to do. With such a bitter experience, I would not recommend him to anyone.

Cristiano really cares about his company and the work quality. He also cares about customer satisfaction. However, we had a second rate crew in our home and Cristiano had to re-work the floor to get it right!. We are satisfied but not thrilled.
