Professional, Courteous, Very Conscious of our home and ON TIME!!!! They came in on Thursday, started work and knocked out the sanding, staining and 3 coats of urethane; the floors look great!! Highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when we install additional hardwood floors as we continue to renovate.

Very poorly. Almost immediately after signing the contract, he began whining about his workers and being overloaded. Given that we were in the midst of a major remodel, he complained incessantly about the working conditions and criticized us, the homeowners, for our lack of project management skills. He had agreed to move our furniture in the beginning, but whined about that every day that he was on the project. After the floor was largely installed, but with significant work remaining, he demanded payment and quickly became confrontational. I understand now why that is: the floor is buckling everywhere. Here's the thing - even if it is the product, which is totally feasible, our experiences with him have been completely unprofessional. He's not working with us to try and resolve the situation, he's simply washing his hands and saying he has no culpability.
I strongly advise against hiring him. But if you do, demand a detailed contract and a thorough warranty. Talk through what happens in the event of a product failure. As it is, we paid $2,500 for floors that are a trip hazard and truly dangerous. I think it's highly likely we end up in court.

Response from Platte River Hardwood Floors
"There is always more than one version of a story, but many of these details you have stated are not true. You should not purchase laminate flooring for $0.39/sq. ft. and expect high quality. This was expressed to you all along. Your very heavy furniture and 5 dogs,( which were not even put up during the installation process) have probably already worn down the cheap product. The fact that there was a complaint about working conditions and project management skills, would be the 5 dogs that ran through while the men were trying to work, and possibly the clothes and bedding that they had to move along with the furniture. Since you were the one who purchased the product (which is unlike the majority of our jobs), you were suppose to have called the company where you purchased the laminate from, and had a rep come look to begin with, especially when Chris told you that was what you needed to do to begin a remedy. We have spoken to someone at Lumber Liquidators ourselves regarding the product you used, and received feedback backing our claim. You have also stated to us that your goal is to "ruin us online", not to fix the problem, it seems. There was also no completion of payment."

I have received another estimate that was about 50% more than his' estimate. He was excellent. He was on time. The job he did was incredible. I thought he gave a fair price based on the other estimate I received. He did it within the time frame that he said. He was very professional.
