A pretty accurate estimate was provided when I called so I knew what it would cost so there were no surprises. Dan called to let me know when he would arrive and he arrived on time. What surprised and impressed me was Dan's knowledge and professionalism. He had all parts on hand even though the doors were almost 30 years old. They now work like a charm. I'd use Dan's Doors for any door repair and he carries most parts to repair residential and commercial sliding doors.
Description of Work: Dan replaced all 6 bottom rollers in my 3 mirrored closet or wardrobe doors. (12 ft closet)

Dan did a great job from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable in his trade. Replaced wheels and adjusted two sliding doors in our home. Also made adjustments on our sliding screen doors. They work SO much better now. Dan was very professional, and although he could not replace our broken slider handle, he refered us to a couple of places.
Description of Work: Called to have our sliding door handle replaired or replaced and have the doors serviced. They were getting very difficult to slide open and shut which is what caused the handle to break.

This was my first experience with Dan's Doors. It wasn't easy to find many who offer this service, and Dan's estimate on email was very competitive with the few services who would do a repair. Most people wanted to sell/install a new door. He kept within this estimate, which I figure saved me at least $200, compared to a replacement. He telephoned 15 minutes before the appointment time to let me know he was running about 1/2 hour late, which is acceptable to me. Dan performed the service quickly and efficiently, installing new tempered glass, which looks great. I sprang for intalling new rollers. Dan told me that the old one's were working, but they are 20 years old. It made sense and didn't add that much more to the total cost. It is a noticeable improvement, the door operates as if new. It may even be better than new because the silicone seal The reason for the "good" rating in professionalism was because after removing the sun screen, the stationary part of the patio glass was quite dirty. I cleaned this up myself, since his disassembly gave me easy access. He didn't offer to do it for me, but he may have if I'd asked. The reason I cleaned the glass myself was to keep his time on the job to a minimum and pay less, since he works hourly on labor. A willingness to clean would have rated an "excellent" from me if it wouldn't have added labor cost; however, Dan was less expensive than the competition.
Description of Work: Replaced fogged sliding patio door glass and replaced door rollers.
