American Vision Windows

We'd tried another company first, which indeed were friendly and seemed a good deal...but the product simply did not look right, the design was off and didn't match the rest of the house. After some waiting, the rest of the original windows in the home needed replacing because of age, so we switched to Amercan Vision, in large part because of the 'family owned' commercials, as what they were saying in their ads rang very true!. From the the moment the rep arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. We got exactly the design we wanted, a very reasonable price, no real upselling (apart from the heat effciently, I REALLY wanted a good sound proofing option, which they had). The project was done on time and on budget and I actually replaced the almost new windows of the competitor with American Vision products..I was that convinced we'd made the right choice. OVERNIGHT, the house is quieter by FAR, and we enjoyed a MAJOR change in temperature in our home...on a 100 degree day, our home now stays cool all day long...amazing..while on a cold day the windows retain all our heat. We could NOT be happier with this company and it's services. HIGHLY recommend to everyone.

I am deeply, deeply disappointed in my experience with American Vision Windows. Their warm and "neighborly" radio ads talk of "Bill and Kathleen" experiencing a deplorable state of affairs in the window business, and of their having determined to offer a better product. The ads speak of "free upgrades" to better sound-reduction windows. Accordingly, I ordered window upgrades from American Vision Windows. Certainly their people are warm, wonderful people -- friendly sales rep, excellent person doing the measuring, exceptionally competent and professional installers who show up on time and do an absolutely excellent job. But the overriding problem -- the reason I believe they are a "D" company with "F"-rated product quality -- is that the quality of their window product is not what they advertise. I did not expect nor even speak of obtaining "sound-proof" windows, but I assuredly wanted and explicitly was promised windows that would reduce external sound. So I signed contracts for thousands of dollars. Ultimately, that promise and assurance was not honored, and the windows that American Vision Windows actually installed are not even remotely close to what they explicitly promised me. My new American Vision Windows now are profoundly less effective than were the 40-year-old windows that we replaced, in terms of sound reduction or even the most basic sound abatement. I paid thousands upon thousands of dollars -- and I wish I could turn back the clock and put back my 40-year-old windows, which afforded our home greater quiet than we have now. A very, very big mistake. A rare regret for me, but a huge mistake. MY UPDATE TWO MONTHS LATER: After the time of my disappointing experience, American Vision Windows management contacted me. They were determined to rectify the prior failure to perform as I initially had wanted and expected. We discussed the matter professionally and with mutual respect, and American Vision Windows made the project right, assuring that the final installation was with the exact product I had wanted. As always, their workers arrived on time, explained everything carefully, did their work and installation with utmost professionalism, and considerately cleaned up immaculately at the end of the project. I did not get any discount or financial consideration as they made the job right, but I did not expect any. I just wanted the right job, with the right windows, providing the right measure of sound-reduction. They made it happen, so I add this update to report that, in the end, they left behind a satisfied customer who appreciated their second effort.

I would not recommend them. They are very unresponsive and I still have a payment which I can't get them to come and collect so I can collect my warranty. It leaked horribly after they installed it so they had to come back and patch up. I talked to a different person every single time I called and nobody seemed to know what they were talking about. They always put me off and said they would call back. Occasionally, I got called back but I never had a contact person that I could call and get what I needed. They forgot my appointments, sent out a backup team and the backup team was not trained to do the installation but they did it anyway. They told me later that the backup team did not really have all the experience they should have had so it was not a good thing. Since they patched the windows they have been okay and they did not leak this rainy season, but I still don't have a lifetime warranty. The windows themselves have really good quality, but the quality of work I grade a C.

They were awesome. They're just honest and left the house clean. They did by 2 hours which was the best thing. They're in and out and it was perfect. They're straightforward and explained it with great details. They don't use subcontractors. They were perfectly on time.

When taking on a project of this scope (every room in the house except one had at least one window or door being replaced) we knew we needed to be very selective. Don made us feel comfortable right from the start when he first met us and helped guide us to the best products for our home. His knowledge, confidence, nonsense approach and friendliness put us at ease. But we knew it all comes down to the crew and follow-through. The crew was incredibly well organized and courteous. They descended on the house like a methodical family of ants and by the end of the first day they had completed the installation of all of the windows, the slide, the front door and had the old bay window torn out and the new one in place. On day two we saw the back entry door replaced and the stucco repairs began. By noon on day three the stucco repairs were all complete and the job site was clear of the crew. Only the scaffold remained until early on day four. The crews removed the old windows and scrap every day and they cleaned up behind themselves as they went. It was like watching a symphony. Everyone knew their part. After the job was completed I needed to ask for an adjustment to the back door and some second-position holes drilled for the sliders. No problem. We would recommend American Vision Windows to anyone and we will be using them again when we do our remodeling projects.

Great sales representative (Don). They kept their promises. Kept me up to date on status of window delivery and install. Never had to chase them. The crew that came out was fantastic and knew what they were doing and took good care of the home and cleaned up after perfectly. All three crew members were hard working, friendly and experienced. Quality of install was A++. This company gets it - quality, excellent customer service, follow up and they keep their promises. Great execution beginning to end!!

As also posted on Yelp: This a review of a complete townhouse installation of Windows and French doors done in August 2014. I had been waiting for the followup work to do this review, and finally got a chance to sit down and write. I had done some research of windows since they are clearly an investment in your home, and not to be done without due diligence. After reading a ton of reviews on Yelp and Angie's list, I went to go check AVW out in their Simi Valley showroom. We ultimately chose Anlin windows, which was a no-brainer. They are by far the best windows out there. After setting up an in-home estimate with Awan for 8 windows (all custom sized and designed due to HOA restrictions), and 2 french doors (again, not standard size), we finally agreed to a price we were comfortable with. (Please note that Anlin windows are not cheap, but as an investment in your home for potentially decades, you have to be comfortable with getting what you pay for). Christian then came out to measure the spaces for the windows, and he explained the process of the next few steps. With each representative of AVW, I always felt informed of the process, with nothing hidden. It made a home-improvement project so much easier with so little stress. So come a few months later when the windows were made. Omar and his installation team (which included Roberto, Wilbur, Carlos, Richard, Sergio Jr, and Josue) were outstanding. Did all the removal of the windows and doors (which we were all surprised about on installation day when we discovered that our original windows were actually 2 sets of windows set side by side in the frame). They worked well as a team, and were so gracious and kind. As I would walk around to see the progress, they always had a smile, and showed me (when they could) what they were doing. I know I must have gotten in their way at times being so curious, but they never showed any annoyance towards me. They cleaned up well after the job was done, and Omar went through the house to closely inspect everything with me, as well as educate me on the windows and doors. It is now almost 5 months later, and we still love our new windows and doors. They have made such a difference in keeping the heat out in the summer, and the cold out in the winter. After the windows were installed, there was a difference in what was thought to be included with our doors. When this was brought up with the company, Chris Perez made everything right by us (which is another reason I am giving them 5 stars - the amazing customer service). Overall, the whole process was transparent and easy. Everyone was professional, and really acted like a family. It is clear that the way the company is run from top-down makes their staff want to do a good job, and makes them so successful in customer satisfaction. For that, whatever extra cost you think you might not want to pay...pay it...it's so worth it. (As an aside, many of my neighbors noticed the work Omar and his crew were doing, so I couldn't help but gush about the awesome experience we had had thus far with AVW. People even joked about how I could make an ad with what I said...and I stand by every compliment I have for this company). If I had to do this again, I would 100% go with AVW.

They did a wonderful job installing the windows the workers were polite and our windows look very good.

Everything went great! From the get go they were professional,kind, and punctual with all they promised. All the people we dealt with personally, Armen in sales, Christian who came out for the final measure, and the three installers Bill, Rico, and Gabriel were so friendly and easy to work with. We love the windows so far and hope there will be no issues with them in the future. We would definitely recommend American Vision.

They did a terrible job. They cut wires in my yard when prepping for painting and didn't measure correctly for my patio door and cut it to fit and left patch work undone. The painting crew was seen dumping paint in my plants and cutting flowers out of my yard without asking permission. They did give me a free door as a part of the deal, but my paint is already starting to fade when it was supposed to last a lifetime. I was not satisfied with their work. Also the walkway lights are starting to rust at the base right after install. There's also another steel light in my breezeway that is rusting as well. They did do a nice job on my windows.

Called American Vision Windows for an estimate on replacing a window and putting in a bay window. The salesperson, Mike, came out and gave us all the information we needed. We were very impressed with his knowledge and help. We signed a contract that day. The windows were ordered and a few weeks later they were delivered. There were several people working on the job since it involved putting a 10 foot bay window in a second story room. The workmen were wonderful. So careful with everything, very respectful, and excellent at their job! It took three days to complete the work. The windows were in the front of the house and both were surrounded by stucco. Since they had to replace the stucco around the windows I was really afraid that it wouldn't match the pattern of the stucco we already had. When it was all done and the stucco was finished and painted you could not tell the difference between the new and the old. It was that good!! I absolutely love our new windows! This is a wonderful company to work with and I highly recommend them. Prices are good, workmanship is superb, salesmanship is great, and all in all a good experience.

The original windows were from 1992 and were just in terrible shape. They replaced all those windows with the Anlin Delmar windows with Infinity Plus High Performance glazing systems. Those windows are filled with argon gas. They are completely soundproof. I live right in front of a bunch of restaurants and grocery stores which make so much noise around me 24/7. Since I've replaced the windows, when I close them it is silent. These windows pay for themselves in a bout 8 years. Every year I save roughly 10% on my electrical. I highly recommend people just bite the bullet and do it. There was a little bathroom window that is no longer made in that size. These folks actually had to get a permit and cut that little window completely out. They were careful to not damage my shower exposure. They had to reframe that and install the window. They did everything for only $8,800.00.

Our experience with American Vision Windows was great. Don was prompt, courteous, and answered all of our questions in the initial and subsequent visits. Replacing all the windows was the largest home improvement project we had undertaken thus far, and everyone we encountered at this company was patient, professional, and concerned with ensuring we were happy with the service and product. The installation crew was amazing--they put protective coverings on the floor and unmovable furniture/fixtures around the windows. The job was completed in one day.

The outstanding company representative came out and explained product, installation process and warranty. He gave us a very acceptable quote and we agreed to use them. We were not disappointed. They an arrival time of 9am, but showed up at 830am and were finished by 130pm. Very well organized and efficient. Excellent installation. Did a walk through to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and gave us a detailed explanation on how the new windows worked and what window cleaners not to use. Joseph and Frank did an outstanding job! We highly recommend this company.

Everything was good and I would give them excellent service.

One of the windows was not put in properly and would not close properly. They came and got it fixed, but I had to write an email. They did give us the run around, but they did eventually got it fixed. They arrived on time, were polite, and left the area clean. This is the second time we used them. The first time was a great experience, but this time we had some problems.

OMG, I cannot say enough about how great American Vision Windows is! I contacted them in 2013 and Jack came out and did an extensive assessment and talked through all of the options with me. I was so impressed that I decided I wanted to use American Vision and wait until we could afford to do the whole job. I called Jack back a year later and he remembered me, still had a file with all of my information and was ready to go when I was ready to place an order. If you are in the Orange County area I would ask for Jack Mkrtchyan...he was awesome! While you are waiting for your windows you get update videos sent to your email that are done by the owners, keeping you informed of what is happening during the manufacturing process. On the day of the install we must have had a crew of 10-15 people here working and they knocked it out in 5 hours!! We live in an urban area near a freeway and under a flight path and I cannot tell you how much of a difference these windows make...no noise, no dust, better insulation...just fantastic. Don't go anywhere else!

Scheduled an appointment for an in-home estimate to replace 2 sliding patio doors. That went well, phone representative was nice enough. Informed me that consultations typically last 60-90 min, so I planned for 90 min. Company only schedules consultations M-F during business hours. Took the morning off (vacation time) to meet with representative. Apparently there were several lines of miscommunication. 30 minutes after rep was supposed to arrive, I called the company. Phone rep apologized and said she would contact rep to get a status update. Received a call back a few moments later from another person who said that she mis-informed the rep about the time of our appointment (she had told the rep that our appointment was an hour later than what was actually scheduled). She said rep would arrive in 30 min (an hour after scheduled appointment), and asked if rep could still come by. I said yes (since I had planned for 90 min), as long as they arrived within 30 min because I would only have 30 min to give. Another 45 min passes, I call the company again, and again I am told that some one will call me back with a status update. 15 min later (now 90 min after my scheduled appointment) no one had called me back, and I had to leave for work. What a waste of vacation time.

We also just finished a kitchen extension so we needed to use them again for our brand new windows and that experience wasn't as fantastic as I was hoping for but after a call back probably five weeks away they did come back and resolve the issue so the quality is so great but it wasn't like the first experience. You cannot find a better warranty. Their warranty is fantastic. They did fix it but they had to come back so they don't get an "A". Very fair price. They were very willing to help out with the repair. They were quick to repair it.

Everything was satisfactory. They came when they said they were going to. They cleaned up everything. They cleaned the windows before they left. They made sure we understood how the windows work so we are very happy with them. We are satisfied with them because we got the expensive ones that are going to keep the heat out because its not working now because we use the windows open but I am pretty sure it will help in the winter. They look nice. They did not do a hard sell because we don't like that. They answered all of my questions.

Experience is fantastic. We priced it out with several different companies and they came in the best. Warranty it was the best price.

It was my first time to use their services. They were quick. Their price was competitive.

It turned out great. It was on time and exactly what they said so it was good. They are a good company to hire.

I used them because they were the company approved by my homeowners association, buy would definitely use them again. As a matter of fact my friend was going to use another person and was so impressed she decided to go with them too.

Overall, it went very well. Don was helpful when I ordered the doors and even called the manufacturer, as I sat with him, to be sure that I would get an extra half bore in the front door as I requested. Gabriel and Francisco installed the doors and arrived on time, did an excellent job, and cleaned up beautifully. They were very polite and professional. I would use this company again.
