County Wide Services

We hired County Wide Services to conduct the water damage and mold remediation work in our kitchen after our sink fixture leaked under our island cabinetrỵ Mark, the owner, came by and explained the process start to finish. We addressed several concerns of ours regarding the use of harsh chemicals as well as the fact that we dídnt want to pay out of pocket for any portion of the job with the exception of our đeductable. Mark assured us no harsh chemicals would be used as his practices are also employed in NICU hospital wards. They said the mold remediation would cost around $1,200-$1,500 and if more needed to be billed, they would talk to us in advance and would either shift the costs elsewhere or reduce their bottom line in order to stay within our coverage limits. Also included in the total mold remediation bill was the hygenist testing; hence our concern as we đidnt want to pay out of pocket. After they did not follow any instructions, by using chemicals we đid not want and billed our insurance for mold remediation in the max amount allowable, they agreed to pay our hygienist the remaining $240 dollars since they charged insurance more than what it was quoted to us. They also charged for things that were not even performed that had to be revised. Their workers also removed our reverse osmosis under the sink and without contacting us, they placed it outdoors with no protection from sun, dust, cold, rain and the system has been compromised costing a hefty $1,400 to replace. The company took zero liability and said its not their responsibility. The house was left with everything in working condition and this is how we expected to find it. We had to purchase for $270 a new inferior system and requested the company to reimburse us for this as compromise. We had to pay put of pocket for water bottles for weeks and this company has been a nightmare to deal with, and their communication within the company does not exist. Every single thing we agreed at our initial meeting with Mark was not respected. Including the initial quote. Our job was the best case scenario and very simple and they charged insurance $1,000 above their verbal quote. They used chemicals that we were completley against it, we never saw Mark or communicated with him, the thyme product they said they used were never used and their worker had no idea what that was, and would not recommend thẹm. Find a better company if you cạn.

We hired CWS for mold remediation, wet insulation removal, new insulation and moisture barrier installation, and dry out of our crawl space in 2016. Initially we were positively impressed with the timely and clear communication of the Hodlin family who own and operate CWS. We were unimpressed with the recommended mold diagnostics consultant - Terry Asp - who is frankly a quack (waste of time and money). But we completed the aforementioned service through CWS subsequently. The entire service took approximately 6-8 weeks. Prior to completion we requested photos to document the work completed. The work was completed while we were out of town for a 2 day weekend. CWS began calling over the non-business day weekend demanding final payment. When we requested the photos of work completed, CWS denied our request and continued to demand immediate payment (still a weekend). We completed full payment without ever receiving photos. Flash forward to 2017, my husband entered the crawl space for the first time following CWS' "completed service" to discover that only HALF of the crawl space had an installed new insulation and moisture barrier. We were charged for the entire estimated square footage of our crawl space ($4611). The entire aforementioned service was significantly more expensive. After dozens of emails, texts, phone calls to Mark and Stephanie Hodlin and nearly 4 months time, we finally received a check for PART of the agreed upon HALF (LESS than the $2305.50). Mark charged us for $250 a "service call" in 2017 to remove wet "new" insulation and fix falling (failing) moisture barrier, all less than 1 year "old" from the 2016 CWS service. After documented voicemails stating Mark owed us HALF the $4611, he sent us $2305.50 LESS $250. He NEVER discussed a $250 charge for this "service call" which I inferred was a complementary service for an ineffective, poorly done original job. He repeatedly ignored emails, texts and voicemails reminding him to send our check for 7 weeks; and only sent the check for the incomplete amount after I mentioned involving a third party. We repeatedly provided CWS with patience, respect, and the benefit of the doubt over this 4 month period in 2017. They did not give us the basic leeway of 1 business day or photos of completed work before demanding final payment in 2016. CWS repeatedly treated us with disrespect by committing fraudulent work, avoiding timely communication, and engaging in dishonest and hypocritical behavior. CWS is highly unprofessional. I strongly urge anyone requiring mold remediation or crawl space services to look for a more trustworthy, professional, quality company.

Mark Hodlin is who I spoke with on the phone. He was pleasant and polite and answered all of my questions and concerns. I later found out he was the owner of the business. Their team of professionals showed up at the site on the date that was promised as well as the time. They were respectful and diligent, more importantly, they were clean. Every day after they were done all materials were properly stored away and the damaged site was cleaned up. We had a busted pipe upstairs and caused a lot of damages. The pipe apparently had a little leak as their was mold inside the walls. John showed me where the leak was and it was evident that a small leak caused mold to occur over time. Once they got rid of the mold they immediately repaired the drywall. The water damaged my counter tops as well. They tore out the damaged area and replaced the tile. I was extremely worried that I would be able to tell where the newly installed tile would be compared to the existing tile that wasn't damaged. I couldn't. My wife and I are very happy with the work that County Wide Services has done. We are back to normal and I can't tell that any repair work was done. The most important part is that my wife is happy. She is critical. We would recommend County Wide Services to anybody that is in need of Mold and or Flood Remediation. Their entire staff and workers are extremely capable of any flood, mold or any construction services needed.
