FINE FINISH CARPENTRY

The interior doors were replaced and looked very good. One door must have been measured wrong because it scrapped the carpet if it opened too wide. When we asked Pedro about it he said he couldn't cut the door any more that it had already been trimmed. He also replaced the door knobs. The master bedroom door would no longer lock. I called Pedro to ask him to come and fix it but he never called me back. I had to get someone else in fix it. The stairwell railing had to be replaced because the old one was loose. He also had to stain the wood to match the existing wood in the house. When he first put up the railing we were not able to touch it because it was still drying. Days later when we touched it, it was not smooth at all but very rough. We called him to come back out and refinish it which he did. We realized we could have kept the old rail and had it refinished because it was better that what he put up. The moulding he put in looked very nice and was expertly installed. I have no complaints there. He came on time most of the time he was scheduled to be there. The price was high for the work done. Overall because he never returned my calls when he was asked to come repair the door lock I would not ever use him again.

Pedro was prompt at returning my calls, but he missed two appointments without calling, so I let him know his services were no longer required.

Pedro was a dream to work with and even called to see if he finished his first job early, would I mind him starting our job earlier. He then removed the old door and frame, took out a rotted piece of wood and replaced both the frame and door efficiently. He was very courteous to my input and help. He was sub-contracted through Home Depot of which I would probably not use again since they kept putting my order on hold for no apparent reason. It took 2.5 months to get a new front door.

He wasn't able to make the first appointment but was diligent in calling as soon as he knew he couldn't make it. He then called each time on his way to our house so we knew he was coming. He has good workmanship and is prompt in returning calls. He is average on clean-up. He also decks, crown molding, base molding, closets, staircases, and windows.
