They did a terrific job. Besides installing a hookup for a generator I also had the entire service panel replaced. The original one was from the 1970's and had sometime caused fires when too much power was being consumed. Matt and his helpers got the permits from the city, scheduled the work with all of the parties involved (PG&E, City Inspectors), replaced the old panel with a new panel, got it approved by the inspectors, and had the power back on in just a single day. They also worked closely with us to make sure we know what the schedule was and what to expect. I recommend MZ Electrical when you need someone that you can trust to do a great job and to count on. They showed up and really saved Thanksgiving! Our wall oven had died and they came to the resque taking the old one out and installing a new one. Tricky job. A few glitches (not their fault) just the sizes were dufferent and the ovens were different brands, size of the space varied. All in all, turkey was in, they had good knowkedge of the witk and were creative thinkers. Use them! They are solid!

"All jobs had some specialty, but nothing like this one, to take out the damaged oven and install the new one, only in couple of hours since the turkey has to go in next day. Always makes me happy to have a satisfied customer by the end of the job."

"Installing and wiring a 5HP , 3PH motor. Some distance from the electrical panel, and we needed to add a third panel to the house just for the motor. After that the owner asked if we could make a setting so that the motor could be turned on / off from a remote switch that he could carry in his pocket ... after several tests and challenges we could do this switch for him with a very low price."

Moe of M&Z Electrical has been extremely professional and personable while he worked out our electrical issues (we've just moved into a new house and the wiring seemed a little "iffy"). I have been very pleased with M&Z Electrical, and plan to use them again. What I really liked was M&Z's willingness to share ideas that might improve on the architect's vision - ideas like two extra light cans by the back wall. The suggestions weren't forced on me - just mentioned, so that I could consider them. M&Z also made a point to show how I could save money by making small changes. Thank you M&Z!

"Bill had a two level house in Mill Valley, he did a remodeling to the two levels and wanted to separate them so to turn one of them to vacation rental property. We needed to split his electrical service coming from PG&E to two meters so that the rental place gets its own billing. We did that by using a bussbar electrical box to supply the two meters."

"Jim owned 2 restaurants in Palo Alto, we had to redo all wiring to the new machines and equipment for his two locations, the real challenge was one of the kitchens area was too small, yet we had to dig underground trenches and put together all conduits. Also the building needed a new 200AMP sub panel with new ground electrode system in the basement for this upgrade of the restaurant. Panels where hooked to the city supply lines while they where hot, since it wasn't OK to turn the power off the complex that this building is attached to."
