They were friendly when they arrived and did a good job. They arrived promptly, were clean and honest. I ended up not using the Big Deal because the repair needed ended up being very minor, and I only paid their service charge. They encouraged me to get a refund from Angie's List, which I did.

The technician noticed that the panel door had not been properly closed and was not engaging the pushbutton switch. It was a very simple problem to diagnose.

We interviewed and got bids from 6 different contractors. We actually liked all of them. We decided we wanted to go with trane equipment which eliminated two of the contractors. We selected Seaside primarily because Victor, the owner, gave us the best price quote. Victor was very straightforward and easy to deal with. He suggested that we test our refrigerant lines just to make sure that there were no leaks. Seaside tested the lines and no leaks were found. Seaside arrived on time on the installation date. They had 5 people handling the installation and they all were very efficient and considerate. They were able to finish the installation in one day with minimum disruption. Most of the contractors indicated that it might take 1 1/2 to 2 days. . We had a few questions after the installation and Victor was very responsive and helpful. The price was exactly as quoted. Included in the bid are a free six month service and a one-year service check. We have used the downstairs furnace which works very well and is much quieter and more efficient than our old unit. We tried the A/C units and they seem to be working well. We are very satisfied with both the price and the service and would use Seaside again and would recommend them.

I was interested in installing a new AC unit and replacing my 40 year old furnace after this most recent summer. I contacted five different contractors and personally met with four of them to make my final decision. I initially spoke with Victor and was impressed by his professionalism and straight forward nature. I decided that based on our conversation, which covered broad options and specific prices, we should meet face to face for him to evaluate our specific HVAC needs. After a thorough conversation, Victor made several recommendations, including offering several options in both brand and SEER level, however, maintaining his overall recommendation of value and quality in the MAYTAG brand. VIctor was the only contractor to recommend key suggestions and showed me the math and" eyes on" examples that substantiated his suggestions. We sat down to talk numbers and I pressed him several times to give me his best deal. To his great credit and to lend further credence to his original quote, he stuck to his guns on the original price and was willing to lose my business over $150.00 because he had run the margins so competitively. Victor gave the second most competitively priced bid, however, his recommended manufacturer, MAYTAG, was a better quality brand than the less expensive Goodman/Amana brand that had been recommended by in the least expensive bid I received. Secondarily, he was the only contractor to realize I needed different duct work to properly utilize the 4-ton system everyone else had recommended (even with the additional $500.00 in ducting his price was a far better than the several additional bids I received). Thirdly, he charged 60% less than what another contractor was quoting to change out the air vent registers. Victor stuck to the turnkey price we agreed upon, even though there was additional work, and my wife and I were thoroughly impressed by the professionalsm of Victor's crew and his follow through from start to finish. In addition, Victor gave me a referral that saved me over $1,000 on the replacement of our aged electrical panel (Total Price: $1,500.00), I Wire You Electrical Service. Vince, his referral, installed a 200amp electrical panel and was also extremely communicative and professional. In closing, I have been thoroughly impressed with Angie's List and I can see why Seaside Air Conditioning and Heating is so highly recommended. Do yourself a favor, don't spend the time with several other contractors, receiving several other bids and discussing the same details over and over again. Instead, call Victor, get it done for a competitive price and in one felt swoop. Also, I would recommend the MAYTAG AC unit, it is a beauty and very well reviewed online. This is by far and away the longest review I have ever written, but I do hope it saves you all the time I spent making sure I received the best work for the best price. MD

Jonathan came by the house to make the diagnostic assessment at around 9:30am, made the diagnosis quickly and presented us with our options. We made a decision to go ahead with the furnace replacement and a crew came by at 1pm to install it. The owner, Victor, was the first to stop by. He is pleasant to work with and explains things well. He answered some questions I had and took a look at our attic to figure out the cause of some airflow problems we had been having in the past. He took pictures of what he found and gave me a couple options to solve the problem. The crew then began work on replacing the furnace. It took them less than 3 hours to complete the job. The furnace works well. We are planning on having them return for the duct-work I spoke to the owner about. Very satisfied with their competence, responsiveness and professionalism.

I spent more than the big deal because there was a part that needed to be replaced as well. There was a confusion with the billing too. The technician was not aware that I rotated the Angie’s List big deal, and there was an additional charge for the service visit. I did call the company, and they said they will be sending a $40 reimbursement because I paid twice. They did not say when they are going to do that, but I put that in the mail yesterday. I do not expect so see until next week. I chose to use them because of the big deal, and they did receive favorable ratings; they were like A or A+ rated from other reviewers. When they were here yesterday, they were pretty good. The furnace is working again. I think it is pretty routine for them, but everything is working so far. I hope it holds up. The technician was running late for the appointment, but he did call ahead of time and let me know the approximate time when he would be here, so, that was good.

I spoke to three other companies about this project. Orlando came out and was by far the most professional. He had a price sheet and was able to quote it on the spot. They used a subcontractor to abate the asbestos ducts (house was built in 1973) and were here to supervise them. Pablo disconnected my heating system plus a water heater and built a new platform to increase air flow, which looks great. Then they installed all new ducts, moved one, and put in a Honeywell multizone system so I can have separate thermostats on the main floor and second floor without needing two separate systems. They were really flexible and patient while I changed my mind about a few things. They installed the second floor thermostat in a common hallway and I ended up not being happy because it wasn't reading the temperature inside the bedrooms. Orlando and Pablo came back the next day and brought a wireless unit that they didn't charge me for. I didn't have him do one of the new vents so he must have figured he had some budget left. I was really impressed by this high level of customer service. He also came over in 20 minutes the day after they installed when I didn't think one of the vents worked. In the end I can't begin to say how happy I am with the new zone system and ducts. Orlando was right. The airflow has dramatically increased through the vents. It would normally take 20 minutes to get to the desired temperature after I turned on the system. Now it takes just minutes. I'm going to save a ton in energy bills. He also never tried to talk me into buying a new heating system. Plus I was really pleased with Pablo and JR. I felt very comfortable and safe with them working in the house and we didn't have a language barrier.

Seaside had a special price for a check-up on existing furnaces so I called . I have lived in this house for over 35 years with original furnace and never had any problems with it but wanted to have it checked out . During that visit the technician detected levels of carbon monoxide around the main unit .but fortunately, I had not turned the furnace on. . I have a carbon monoxide detector but it is on the upperr level of the house and the technician explained it would have taken a while for the monoxide to register there. Scary! Had the furnace and the thermostat replaced with new furnace and a programmable thermostat the next day. The technicians were prompt , courteous and cleaned up everything efficiently. The owner, Victor, also came out to check the work and make sure I was completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The young man, Mike, arrived promptly, was polite, efficient, and tolerent of my yappy doxie. I would definitely use this company again.

I recently purchased a condo and called Seaside this morning come out to check the heating system and do maintenance. John came out this morning and did a thorough inspection of the unit, telling me that basically it was old and inefficient (25 years old, but still hanging in there). He tuned it up as much as possible, and gave me an estimate on replacement when the time comes. He also suggested that I get a new thermostat. Later, I went to Home Depot and purchased a new digital thermostat, which I installed. Unfortunately, the instructions weren't as complete as they could have been, and I noticed that something was wrong after completing the installation. I called Seaside's office and explained the situation. John called within minutes and offered to stop by and check things out. He was there a few minutes later and completely checked the system again, as well as the installation of the termostat. He saw what I did wrong and corrected it. He was leaving a few minutes later and my furnace was running smoothly. He definitely went above and beyond - especially since I used the special they had running for just $49.95. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again. Thank you John!

Everything was perfect. Everything was really good. They were very friendly and courteous. They were very neat and tidy. I think their pricing is extremely fair. I had two or three other bids and they were very good. The quality so far is excellent. I got the air conditioning unit installed six or seven years ago. It’s working perfect now. I recommended them to some of my friends also because I was very pleased. I would use their services again in the future.

There have been issues with the freon leaking out between uses. Victor and his crew have been very cooperative and diligent in trying to locate and correct the problem. They've made a number of return visits at my request to troubleshoot the problem. Each time they found an issue that could account for the leaking. Then the next time I turned on the unit it would fail to heat or cool. The last time they came they removed the unit and replaced the flare fittngs with soldered joints. I believe that will solve the problem. They always come when requested, show up on time or advise if they can't. There also very nice to deal with and stand behind their work.
