California Construction Center

After having California Construction Center, with Nir Gafter as my contractor, replace my roof and do a complete plumbing re-pipe, I had them back to fix my floor. My old floor was collapsing in an add-on room in my house (I didn't add the room) due to severe termite damage. Nir Gafter and his crews had to remove the entire sub-floor and (ugly) tiled floor. They re-built the & framing sub-floor with pressure treated wood (for the concrete slab the house is on) and installed a beautiful new composite hard wood floor! All of the workers who came (the floor crew, the framer, and Nir himself) were prompt, polite, and even cheerful! They took the time to explain the processes to me, answer my questions and cleaned up a after themselves every day! Nir worked hard to keep within my budget, and was super responsive and helpful. I love my new floor!

I highly recommend. We originally were going have california construction center , inc just install cabinets and counter tops but after seeing their work, we kept asking them to do more. California Construction Center, inc did a wonderful on our kitchen, dinning room, hall away and nursery. Their price was fair, EZ -their rep , was honest, and the insight he brought to the job was invaluable. He kept us updated on the progress and if we had any concerns, he addressed them with kindness and a can do attitude! I always felt comfortable with him with is important when you give people access to your property! Thank you for the beautiful job.

When we moved to our new home our plan was to completely remodel the kitchen, we wanted to take down a wall between the kitchen and the laundry room. In addition we wanted 2 windows added, new hardwood flooring, new cabinetry and a lot more... We contacted Jonathan from California construction center, after a search at another website because we were impressed by the great reviews! We have just bought our new home and Jonathan spent 3 hours with us during the consultation listening to our ideas and advising about practicalities. He was very realistic with us from the start, advising us not to stretch ourselves and get into debt with multiple projects in our home , but to focus on one at the time to allow time to save in between. Jonathan informed us from the start of our kitchen revnovation project that quality work takes time. We were very naive about the amount of work that goes into a kitchen remodel, but having watched the incredible transformation, and all the stages in between including complete removal of drywall and ceiling! We were so grateful for Jonathan perfectionist work, ethic and creativity. He is more than a contractor, he is capable of advising about desig nuances that will ensure superb finished product! We highly recommend and definitely use them again...

I called California Construction Center to update my living/dining/kitchen space. The work involved custom built home entertainment unit; refinished and restained hardwood flooring; replace existing lighting throughout with new fixtures and recessed lighting; and, refreshed paint in hallways and living area and more... Their rep- E.Z takes a consultative approach to ensure the design works and makes suggestions to improve the appearance and functionality. I've had two very successful projects with California Construction Center. It will be the first and only call I make for future projects. Excellent craftsmanship, great customer service and fair pricing.

Thank all of you for the kitchen and bathroom remodeling. They are a great addition to our new home. The crew did a fantastic job and went the extra mile to finish every little detail. Jonathan was very nice and patient with us during our color choosing and choosing the materials and changing the design of our kitchen and bath. After four estimates I decided to hire California Construction Center to do my kitchen remodeling. Jonathan (the owner) showed up to the first appointment and was very knowledgeable with the process of the remodeling and answered every question i had. He showed up to the second meeting and surprised us with a beautiful design which is exactly the way my kitchen looked like when they finished the process. He gave us a reasonable price and the communication with him was pretty easy (e-mail,text,phone). I was very satisfied with the way they work because they kept it very clean and used those thick nylons where construction needed to be done so my house wont get messy and dirty, I didn't have to be home at the time they worked there, I just left them a key at a lock box we used through the process of the remodeling. Very reliable company, I would definitely use them again. Rinata.

Overall the service was excellent. I was able to setup an appointment very easy and they worked with my schedule. Izzy came down to my house on time and fully prepared. He looked over my bathroom and in parallel provided me with sample of there work and videos of there work. Izzy took in all my input and provided me with an amazing 3D rendering that I was happy with. The rendering took a couple of days and he was able to work with my schedule to come back to my house and present it to me and discuss further inputs. Overall this process was very smooth and I was comfortable with Izzy. He provided me with details and facts that helped me with my decision. With this I was able to make my decision on going with California Construction Center for remodeling my bathroom. My next review will be for the work that California Construction Center did to my house.

I am a HOA President in LA. We have five units with water leak problem when the rain is little excessive. I contacted CA Construction Center with "A" ratings with Angie's List. A good start. A survey was made of the leak problem of affected units and, as I must, asked for a "ball park" cost estimate to inform the HOA Board. The owner refuse to do so because he has to tear down the walls around all the leaky areas for proper assessment. This was on a Saturday and he promised some response by following Monday or Tuesday. There were no contact. Any extensive project or repair work would require staying within certain limits and thus would require some form of estimates instead of an open ended billing that may go far beyond the budget limit. Since the company was in construction, that they would be able to give some idea as to cost of the project but his argument persisted and I was sort of "cast aside" as not a good income producing prospect. I could not agree to "just fix it and charge me whatever you want at the end." I, as a HOA President, have a fiduciary responsibility to use the HOA fees with due diligence. There were no response on Monday or Tuesday. I finally called on Thursday and the owner said they were busy with other project and would not be able to continue our project! I already had a sense this will happen and I probably would not have hired them anyway, but their approach seems so odd and totally unprofessional I thought I'd let you all know how I felt about the whole thing.

We actually just finished a 2nd project with Green Planet Home Remodeling , this time outside in a back yard. We did an amazing Patio cover, the price was fair and the job is amazing, it totally changed the look of our back yard.

I found California Construction Center through Angie’s list, and picked them because they were featured on TV show Flip This House. The main contacts are the owners Jonathan and Ozi, both are professional. I am very satisfied with them. The are very easy to deal with, no hassle. They will take care of all the headaches for you.

This was our first experience remodeling a home and we really had no idea what to expect (and we decided to take on a major remodel at 7 months of pregnancy!), but we thoroughly enjoyed working with EZ. We interviewed four contractors and although CCC was not the least expensive, it was immediately evident that EZ was experienced, thoughtful and skilled at anticipating potential issues that could come up during the remodel. We decided to go with CCC because we believed we would get the most value out of working with contractors that knew what they were doing. EZ was communicative, helpful and responsive from day one. He explained what would happen each day, gave us plenty of notice when we needed to have chosen materials, responded to every call, email and text very quickly, and never got tired of answering our (many) questions. Our plans changed a few times along the way, but with each change, EZ was patient and flexible, thought through everything we wanted to do and made helpful suggestions. If we were unhappy with work that any of the subs did, EZ made sure it was corrected right away. We had many surprises along the way, including difficult inspectors and unexpected mold, but EZ continued to move things along to keep us on schedule. Remodeling a home is stressful and time consuming, but we always felt like EZ was doing everything in his power to streamline the process, limit our stress and make sure we were happy at every stage of the remodel. We are pleased with the final result and will definitely use CCC for future projects.

Will hire again! As I decided to remodel my kitchen, roofing and paint my exterior house with texcote, I decided to have three quotes and California Construction Center, Inc was one of the companies. They were the only company that showed up in time and provided me with a free 3D design. Their quote was reasonable and very detailed, the guy that came over was very knowledgeable and had lots of pictures and different designs to show us which helped make the process much easier in choosing material and colors. Once we signed the contract, work started two days after and was done in three weeks which was pretty quick! They kept my house clean and I was very happy with the fact that I did not need to be there every day during the process since I have to go to work! I definitely received the best for the price I paid! will use them again!

I hired California construction center to do general remodeling for my own property and while the remodeling was still in progress, my parents were visiting and decided to ask Jonathan (the owner) to estimate the remodeling for their own bathroom and kitchen. Jonathan was kind enough to give them a free consultation and a design which made the process much easier for them as they are elders and sometimes just explaining things is not enough for them to understand and receive a decision. He was very patient and definitely made the process easier! Thank you again for a great experience!

We met with Ben twice to discuss our room addition project and review a 3-D rendering he prepared. We liked his approach to the project and appreciated his feedback on elements of the design. Ultimately, we chose to go with another contractor. We would still consider California Construction Center for a future project.

We hired California Construction Center, Inc to do a major renovation at our new home, we met with Jonathan the owner. Jonathan is a true professional who listened carefully to everything we wanted and added some great ideas. His workers were polite, conscientious and skilled. We never worried about having to be at home to oversee anyone. A few very minor surprises were quickly taken care of at no extra cost and the final result is wonderful. We're delighted with California Construction Center Works and have already begun recommending them to friends and family.

When I have the budget to do a larger remodeling project I will definitely call CCC.

California construction Center is a general contractor, who also has some of their own people as tradesmen who performed very well. There cabinetmaker, Alan, is excellent with regard to kitchen cabinets and a built in desk and shelving area that we had placed underneath our stairs in the condominium. They then contract with other subcontractors who, for the most part, are quite skilled. There were a few hiccups with some of their subcontractors, which Nir quickly remedied. Nir, in particular, was always consistent in attempting to remedy the situation when certain of the tradespeople he retained appeared to resist our demands. We did obtain other contractors/trades people to perform certain tasks, such as constructing the balusters and banisters on the staircase, installing energy efficient windows and sliding door, shutters, mirrors, and shower door. California Construction worked with the other contractors to make sure that all work was performed satisfactory with their work.

EZ, our contact man at CCC, was very *easy* to work with. He did not try to sell us on doing more work than he wanted. He was very comminuicative every step of the way. The workers did a great job, were respectful of our house, and went above and beyond the call of duty make sure everything was perfect at the end. You may get a cheaper quote elsewhere, but if you want the job done well and effficiently without any hidden costs, call these guys.

They finished the foundation for the added room, the inside framing and inspection within 10 days. They did an excellent job and I was really amazed at how fast they were. Now the plumbing and sewer is almost done and is being supervised by Thomas who is also very easy to talk to. I bought the whole Solar Panel package from them. Nir, the solar panel consultant. He was professional as well. They are not finished yet with the whole project but so far The California Construction Center, especially Jonathan, Ozi, and their crew, are doing an outstanding job. I will continue to update my review as the renovation progresses.

It went well considering the project was just started when we had our 'winter storm' and the holiday season was upon us. Some delays because of that, but not because CCC wasn't on their game, completely weather and/or holiday related. Nir is easy to work with and made good suggestions. He genuinely seemed to care that the job was done right and to our satisfaction. His crews were pleasant and generally prompt. We would not hesitate to recommend him for any remodel or home improvement projects.

Great! They were quick, prompt, professional and did an excellent job. Before the remodel there was an awkward room that had no purpose, there was a wall that closed off the house, a kitchen floor that was supposed to look like wood but it was some laminate looking faux wood, and a kitchen that had outdated counters and an island that had an extra piece that just didn't make sense. After they were done the house looks like a completely new house. There is so much more space now, an extra room with a closet, a kitchen that is more spacious, modern and an overall completely different look. I am amazed at the difference, I had high expectations but they were surpassed. I am so pleased with how the remodel turned out and how efficient California Construction Center was. I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to remodel.

Jonathan and his team at California Construction Center did an amazing job. From the planning stages through to execution everyone was punctual, courtesy and hard working. The quality of the work is second to none. The work was completed in 7 weeks which was under what they anticipated. Jonathan stayed on track with all costs so there were no surprises at the end. For quality, honesty and on schedule, would highly recommend these guys.

Shay, whom is the owner of the company lied to us about the material that was going to be installed in our home to the licensing that the company had and the time frame it would be completed. This process was h*** for my husband and I and it was not complete. The company did not have the proper equipment to remove our trees in our yard so that was not completed. The landscaping process turned out horrible. Our trees were not trimmed or cut properly and the stumps were left in the ground. The material that we agreed upon to be installed for our floors were not bought, a cheaper material was bought and intended to be installed. we had to communicate with Shay/ the owner regarding this issue , and only than did he correct the problem with hesitation. after this incident my husband and I had t watch their every move, which was not fun. their response time was horrible, there was days and days that the owner did not return our phone calls. they left our home full of dibree, our tubs window seals, cabinets etc. was full of trash and dibree. my husband and I had to clean the home once they were finished.my neighbors property was damaged as well due to their inexperienced landscaping work. the quality of their work was damaging as well almost a year later we have to get their work retouched the flooring is coming up and the electrical work is malfunctioning. I can go on and on about this company's unprofessionalism, but I will be writing all day and night. so I will end it with this please do not do business with this company unless you want to get ripped off.

This was a big, once in a lifetime project for us. As fans of HGTV we knew that the coordination and execution of this project was a bit beyond us. California Construction Center came to us and provided excellent service. We reviewed the scope of the entire project which involved demolition, custom cabinet fabrication and installation, ceasarstone counter-top installation, glass tile backslash, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, wood flooring, appliance installation, and painting. The 3D imaging that they provided made it simple to visualize the entire process. The craftsmen were dependable, prompt, professional, and talented. Whenever we had questions or concerns about the job - text messages or phone calls were promptly returned. While we were pleased with all aspects of the project, the custom cabinets stand out as being of superior quality. We are coming to the end of our project and punch list issues are dealt with promptly and professionally. The approximate cost of service referenced here is only for the kitchen remodel... we also used CCC for bathroom and powder room remodel, and painting and floor installation for the entire home. We highly recommend California Construction Center to guide anyone through a complex remodel.

We used Green Planet after a rep came to our door offering their services. The timing was lucky--we were about to make calls to price a replacement roof for the house. A salesman arrived and spent a long time chatting us up, making big promises. We eventually signed their contract and work started quickly. We had to stay on top of the work. We pointed out areas that required care and the very mistakes we tried to avoid were made. They eventually made it right. We also had issues with the gutters. We asked before the job started how they would handle the gutters, and they said they'd replace any that were damaged. They were all damaged, more or less, and getting replacements required sending their gutter guys out to "fix" the gutters. The gutter guys became incredibly frustrated with the work and called their boss, begging him to let them just replace the gutters--a much simpler and faster fix. The boss finally agreed over the phone that the gutters would be replaced. It was annoying to have to duke it out to get them to stand by their work and their contract.. Speaking of reviews: After signing with this company, I looked for reviews. The few I found reflected an average overall rating, so I figured we were ok. There was one super-positive review from a fellow who has posted a variation of the same glowing review on every possible review site I researched, and it was his number we were given as a reference. [No further comment.] If you get a terrific price from these folks, know that they hire very good roofing workers. My misgivings are about the sales end of the operation. If you hire them, I recommend vigilance in watching their work. There was no incompetence, just occasional carelessness.
