Denise and Molly were fantastic. They showed up on time, every time, for the estimate and for the work days. Denise explained in great detail all of the work that would need to be done, including all of the prep work needed because of the damaged drywall caused by the careless removal of the old back splash. We already had new kitchen counter tops with back splash installed, so were were limited with what tile depth we could choose in order to match up flush with the counter splash. Everything was itemized and explained and we were left with no questions and full confidence of the job they would do. On the work days they were on time, clean, professional and personable. Day one was drywall prep and tile installation. Day two was grouting. Everything went perfectly! The price may have been more than other bids, but we went with them based on their positive reviews on Angie's List, their personalities, and our gut. And we were right. We would recommend them highly and will definitely use them again if we can.
Description of Work: Installed a glass tile kitchen backsplash over damaged drywall.

Our experience with Denise and Molly was fantastic, they showed the highest level of professionalism, cleanliness and attention to detail. We got estimates from 4 contractors, prices ranged from ~$6000 to ~$12,000 depending on what exactly was to be done, Women in Construction fell about in the middle including labor and all materials. Our impression of Denise and Molly was that they cared about their work and treated a remodel as if they were doing it in their own house, this proved to be the case as Denise is very meticulous about her work and does it right, no matter if it is harder or not, that includes building a shower based on floating walls, a lot of work, but the right way to do it. We chose some options that bumped the total cost up a bit, however we were rewarded with a fantastic bathroom, and we certainly got what we paid for. Denise and Molly were a breeze to deal with, they were punctual everyday, friendly, extremely clean and considerate of the cleanliness of the rest of the house. They have a crew of experienced sub-contractors who they have been working with for a long time and trust, you can't put a price on that. They also ensure that all of their sub-contractors, as well as anyone else doing work on the bathroom (for instance our countertop people, who Denise and Molly took one of their very few off days to come to our house and monitor) do their jobs to the high standards that Women In Construction have set for themselves. Denise and Molly are also very much on top of communication, they talk with you through the process and solicit your input, their responsiveness is top notch. Additionally they worked with us to ensure they completed some work while our 8 month old baby was out of the house for the day, i.e. work that left fumes linger in the house for a couple of hours, I think the chances of finding another contractor that is that considerate are slim to none. All in all, if you hire Denise and Molly you will have a great experience and a great remodel to go with it. I have no reservations in recommending them and would definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Women In Construction (Denise and Molly and their sub-contractors) provided demo for a master bath, replaced a large tub with a tiled in shower, including rerouting plumbing building the shower pan and dam, waterproofing, installation of a niche, bench, inset soap dish and glass doors as well as fixtures. tiled the bathroom floor, replaced the toilet, replaced the vanity including new granite countertop and sinks, replaced angle stops where needed, cut an existing 8 ft. mirror to resize it for re-installation and provided rough-in valves and trim for faucets. As agreed to prior to the start of work, installation of the faucets and traps for the sinks as well as painting and hanging fixtures was completed by the homeowner.

We planned to interview three bath remodelers from Angies list. Women in Construction (Denise and Molly) were the first to come and give us an estimate. We already had a pretty good idea of what this project would cost, so it really came down to who we thought would do a quality job and who would be comfortable working with. Denise was so professional and honest in her assessment. She is very experienced in this type of work, and candidly told us of potential problems that might be uncovered. We didn't interview anyone else and immediately knew that they were right for our project. Denise and Molly are such perfectionists, we never had to point out anything that they hadn't already seen and fixed. Our plaster walls have a curve around the doors and windows. Denise replastered the curve around the door, didn't like the way it looked, and did it a second time. I wanted to put my dogs pawprint in the new cement work..she booted me out and made me promise not to do that. They went with us to the tile store to help us pick out tile. It was so much easier with them there to help us. We would have been lost. I could go on and on with how they far exceeded our expectations in every way. They were clean, and respectful of our home and space. And they were very nice to our little dog, Ivy. Our vanity was build by Tomas, recomended by Denise. He did a beautiful job. The plumber and electrician she used were both high quality. and very nice. Either Denise or Molly were present during all sub-contactor work. Denise recommened a slab yard with remnants. The cost of the countertop in Cesarstone was half of what it would have cost if we had ordered through a store. She was very concerned with keeping our costs down and making recommendations. We both were very comfortable having Denise and/or Molly in our home while we were at work. We just left the door open. Sometimes our dog was home, and that was OK with them. They got along famously. The bath is Beautiful. I love it everyday. I have some houseguests coming for several months in the spring and they will be very comfortable and that makes me happy. The best recommendation I can make is that we plan to have them remodel our other bathroom as soon as we are able to do it.
Description of Work: We have owned our 62 year old home for 5 years. It had a small guest bathroom that had been remodeled at some time in the past. By the time we got around to tackling it, the very short toilet didn't work well, the sink was clogged and we couldn't clear it, the bathtub/shower drained slowly and the linoleum floor was ugly and never looked clean. We wanted an attractive guest bath that worked. The bathroom was completely demolished, bath and tile surround removed, toilet taken out, bath vanity removed, floor removed to cement floor. The exposed plumbing required alot of work. Pipes were not behind the walls, drains were jackhammered out and replaced, then the foundation had to be repaired, before any new work could be done. Electrical outlets had to be moved because of a new tile backsplash. The wall around the tub was very uneven and had to be built up and made square so the tile would look good. Drywall repairs had to be done in many areas. Then we got a new tub with shower head and tub fixtures, tile around the shower and on the floor. New taller chair-height toilet. We had a new vanity custom built, because the bath was too narrow for anything standard size. Bought a cesarstone remnant to be cut for the vanity and had a partly raised (display model) .vessel sink from Standards of Excellence. Found a really beautiful wall mounted faucet installed in front of a glass tile backsplash, with a beautiful tile trim. The rest of the bathroom we have to finish ourself. Easy do-it-yourself stuff like a mirror, a light fixture, towel racks and decor. We also painted the room, after the tile was done and before the cabinet and toilet were installed.

The estimate was delivered very promptly. The work was scheduled quickly, and work began shortly after we agreed on the estimate. The work took two days, as the firm had projected. We were consulted whenever choices had to be made during the course of the retiling, and the outcome was excellent. The bathroom floor now looks like it belongs to another, much finer bathroom. I would happily call on Women in Construction for future work of this kind or for larger remodeling jobs.
Description of Work: Women in Construction removed an old linoleum floor covering in our guest bathroom, as well as baseboard. They replaced the original flooring and baseboard with ceramic tile, refitted the door so that it would work with the new flooring (no need to replace the door), and, as an additional job, re-caulked the shower/tub enclosure in another bathroom.

Outstanding job all around! The tile: They tiled a mural with a custom border in the shower. The placement of the field tiles was important in the setting off the mural. The field tile was subway tile rather than square so planning and placement required more than average skills. The placement of the tiles for the walls and it's relationship to the mural was perfect! They even suggested a change to the border of the mural which improved the final result. (As a side note -The tiles were all custom tiles and had unusual permeability. Despite the challenges, their work was excellent! ) Repair to sub-flooring: prior water damage to sub-flooring required replacement of part of the sub-floor. Expertly done. Drywall & Painting: They drywalled and painted the walls. We requested an almost flat surface on the walls rather than textured. That surface requires more time and skill to do and it was perfectly done! (The light in this bathroom is very good and so if they had made any mistakes, they would have been obvious.) The painting was perfect too. By the way, they recommended a cabinet-maker and an electrician. We used both & both were excellent. They sub-contracted work to a plumber who did excellent work also. Excellent communication skills. We always got progress reports of the work. They made excellent suggestions throughout the job. The job took one month which, given the extent of the work, was great timing. I am looking forward to their work on our kitchen!
Description of Work: I'm updating my review since it's been a year since my bathroom remodel. The quality of the work has stood the test of time. You can tell when the work stands to constant use. I look forward to suing them again! Here's the original review: Outstanding job! I contacted Women in Construction to totally remodel my bathroom. The remodel went down to the studs. They did an excellent repair of the water-damaged subfloor and shower wall before they laid the tiles. In addition, a wall was opened for a niche built for a cabinet. Excellent drywalling & painting in there too. The tiling job was unusual - subway tile and a tiled mural was in the shower. The Women in Construction price was very fair for the quality they delivered. They always were on-schedule and on-budget. When we asked for a small change, their estimate was reasonably adjusted. I am so happy I used Women in Construction for the job!

Thank You so much for your report . We realize that it takes time out of your busy schedule to write such a thought out and lengthy report. Thank you for the faucet that you purchased and decided not to use even though you could have sold it on E-bay or elsewhere, It was very kind of you to give it to me. Perhaps I will meet a customer who uses that trim and I can offer it to them as you did me and we will just pay it forward. I hope that we will hear from you in the future and I look forward to your smiling face and positive attitude. You were a pleasure to work for and always available by phone if we had any questions. That really made things easier for us. You were very flexible and open to suggestions which also is very helpful for a contractor. Thanks again and enjoy the holidays.

My daughter has a house in the Point Loma area that was built in 1941. She recently had a kitchen remodeled without first laying the tile floor. She also had one bathroom with stone shower walls, and one bathroom with a tub/shower walled in stone, both of which she wanted a contractor to look at and offer advice on what might be needed. In addition, she had a small fireplace hearth that was missing and she was thinking using tile to finish. I did research for a tile setter that had a good reputation, had insurance and was bonded, and whom specialized in laying tile. Women in Construction checked out well in the California State Licensing Board as having insurance an being bonded, they had no complaints with the San Diego BBB, and were highly recommended on Angie's List. I called Women in Construction and left a message for them to call me. I received a call from Denise McEwan (the owner), and scheduled an appointment for about 15 days later, since that was the first available appointment. The appointment was on a Saturday morning and they arrived at my daughter's house about twenty minutes before the scheduled time. Ms. Denise McEwan and her partner told my daughter that the kitchen floor could not be tiled unless it was acceptable to never remove the dishwasher (since the dishwasher had insufficient space below it to install tile floor). Since tiling the kitchen was the main job, I would have understood their departing after indicating the kitchen floor shouldn't be tiled. Instead, they stayed close to 1.5 hours. They explained how the kitchen floor could be nicely finished and moved on to other areas of the house. They moved into the master bathroom area and explained in detail how the stone work was not properly installed and the mold problem would continue unless the stone was removed and the whole shower stall rebuilt from scratch. They indicated in detail exactly what would be done and it was obvious they knew exactly what they were doing and that they would not deviate from their high standards in performing the job to make it less expensive. They then moved onto the fire hearth and explained how special tile that was very thin would have to be used in order to properly fit in with the wood floor. They then looked at the hall bathroom tub/shower walls. They indicated that the stone work was properly installed and that nothing had to be done except sealing it well. My daughter had them provide an estimate on installing a new tile shower stall in the master bathroom. They provided that on the next day (Sunday). Women in Construction took their time in educating my daughter and I on the proper procedure to install tile, they listened carefully to my daughter's many questions and answered in detail. They also provided names of other contractors that they had confidence in that could do plumbing, etc.. This company has remained busy in the recession, and they appear to do great tile work. That appears to be all they do, and their web site and book of photographs show some remarkable jobs they have completed. I was pleasantly surprised how well these two women knew their business. I have dealt with tons of contractors over my life and these two ladies are as good or better than any of them.
Description of Work: Women in Construction provided an estimate that was very professional, in addition to being informative regarding what is required and how a tile setting job could proceed.

When we returned from our vacation, everything was finished, cleaned up, and ready for us to use. All in six working days. The quality of the work was meticulous, clean, and beautiful. They met their time and cost quotes. I was really impressed by the extra effort they took to have everything ready for us when we returned. I also felt that the price was fair. (The price listed here included the actual cost of the tiles.) I would have them do more tile work for me again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: Denise and Molly of Women in Construction tore out the old vinyl and wooden moulding in two small bathrooms and laid beautiful large size porcelain tiles along with baseboard tile to match. They also installed a new threshold which was necessary at one of the bathroom doors to the outside and even called in the carpet contractor to take care of the interface from the carpet to the new tile. To address our concern about decaying grout areas in both bathrooms, they repaired and replaced grout in the roman tub and removed old damaged caulk from the 3 walls that met the tub and two vertical walls in the tub/shower of the other bathroom. They caulked those areas with white silicone. Lastly, they sealed the finished tile work. They also provided us valuable plumbing advice on replacing our valve stem in one bathtub which had become very hard to operate due to hard water deposits. They advised us to get a simple quarter-turn whole house water shut-off valve installed to prevent any problems with turning off the water when they moved the toilets.

We wanted to replace the existing flooring in our bathrooms and we got several bids from contractors that our friends recommended . While we were reviewing their bids, we came to know about angieslist (Heard about it on KPBS) and found good reviews for Women In Construction. I called them up and they came over, looked at the job and explained the process of re-tiling in great detail. Later that day, they gave me the bid for the job and it was the highest bid we got so far. We thought thru and decided to use them because of all the great reviews at angies and now, looking at the finished product and the amount of work they put in, It is totally worth it. Denise is a seasoned tile contractor and brings her vast expertise to work. Both Denise and Molly are very punctual and really hard working people. They were very clear about the amount of work and their timelines. We were expecting a baby soon and were on a really tight schedule, Initially, we were only planning to replace the flooring but after they gutted out the floor tiles, we found that some of the sub flooring needed repairs. We ended up redoing the whole bathrooms..Denise and Molly did everything possible to meet the deadlines that they agreed to and did the sub floor repairs for a throw away price. I think this is when hiring a tile contractor instead of a just a person who lay's tiles is important. We were glad we hired Women In Construction. They cleaned up after themselves after each day's work and helped us make long term practical decisions during the entire renovation process. They used quality construction materials and they also passed on great discounts for our tiles from San diego Tile & Marble. They not only educated us regarding the tiling work but also helped us pick up great tips for after care. Denise and Molly also hooked us up with a great Shower Door guy (Greg) who did very neat job at a reasonable price. Overall, We are more than happy with the work that both Denise and Molly did at our place and won't hesitate to recommend them for any kind of tiling work. Me and my wife feel that we got more than what we paid for. Thank you Denise and Molly for all the hard work you put in and for a very thoughtful Baby shower gift for my wife and of course for your oatmeal cookies :)

Denise and Molly were very professional and knowledgeable. They were prompt in response to all my inquiries. Unfortunately for me, the cost of the project (removing carpet, preparing floor, and installing approx. 750 sq. ft. of tile) was beyond what I can afford. This is not to say that Denise and Molly charge too much. Rather, all the prep work necessary for the project added costs that I had not foreseen and cannot currently afford. I was pleased with my experience with Women in Construction.

Denise and Molly came to my home in early March and we went through all I wanted done, Denise then went home and wrote up a proposal for the work she would complete. The ladies started on March 21st and for the next month they moved in. Being of more than Social Security age I was in a quandry as to where I would start, ie the selection of fixtures, tiles and anything else I would have to pick out, it can be overwhelming. Denise and Molly deal with many contractors and vendors. I met them at plumbing and tile supply houses, during this venture I learned to go with my first choice, saves a lot of time. Picked out fixtures and tile, items ordered and they picked up. Met with the cabinet maker, as prefab cabinets wouldn't give me the the best use of space, and the cost, with real wood, was comparible to ready made. I do not drive long distances on major freeways, so again Denise to the rescue, she went to one of her granite and stone suppliers and brought a couple of samples for me to look at, I choose one and the stone vanity top was in process. Prior to installing the granite top the sub came out and met with the two of us, measured and discussed the placement of sinks, back splashes and fixtures. During all of the picking out and choosing, Denise and Molly are tearing out the old existing Bathroom and hauling it all away. Going into this adventure Denise was very upfront with the things that could go wrong, especially since this bath was very old and had had some very poor remodeling done, while there was some added expence and a couple of days lost with plumbing problems we all took it in stride. When Denise started the tile work is when I knew I found a keeper. She is very detailed minded and a PERFECTIONIST. Walls were tiled a pony wall installed and shower flooring completed, oops a dye lot tile problem, of course in the middle of the wall, I didn't notice she did. I could live with it, she couldn"t, upon returning the next day, she informed me that she was taking the area out and redoing. So she completed what I thought would be a major problem, with just a small inconvenience of redoing. But she was major happy. Each day as the work was completed I learned to appreciate more and more what true craftmen Denise and Molly are and by the end I truly had a remodeled bathroom I was extremely happy with and also very happy to say Denise has worked up another purposal for my other bath and we have talked about my kitchen as well. Its also nice to feel so comfortable with your contractor that you can keep appointments and know that all will be well when you return.
Description of Work: Remodel of a 1965 Masterbath. Denise and Molly completely gutted the bathroom down to the walls and floor studs. Extensive plumbing was done to bring up to code and replace that which was in dire need of repair. The dire need included replacing some of the old cast iron pipes beneath the floor Denise used subcontractors in the following areas plumbing and electrical, custom cabinets, shower doors and installing of the vanity tops, all tile work in the shower and flooring was done by herself and Molly. While engaging in the use of Subs she was always present and made sure I understood the process of what was happening. Denise did the wallboard, reinstallation of the toilet, towel bars, and the medicine cabinet along with the light bars. She also retextured the whole room and then primed and painted. All of the subcontractors she used were experienced, thoughtful and courteous and made sure that any mess made was clean before they left, as this was the way " Women in Construction" do things. Each day when t he ladies left every thing was cleaned up and put away for tomorrow's work . Utmost care was taken during this whole process to keep dust at minimum.

They are almost finished. There is one small item left for them to do. We are very pleased with them. They were very efficient. They worked around the renters that were there. They coordinated things so that it wasn't inconvenient for them at all. They were there when they said they would be. They were just very reliable, and they did good work. The price was probably average.

We were very grateful to Member when he first met with us and wanted to remodel his bathrooms. He was not quite ready when we first met and then in October, I got an infection in my finger and two weeks later I had to have surgery on both my elbows. My recovery after 6 surgeries was delayed and Member waited for me to recover even though it meant pushing our original start date back a couple of weeks. We were very impressed with Member. He was such a good landlord and took special interest in making sure his tenants were well cared for. We certainly felt well cared for when he offered us to stay a week in his condo in Catalina for no more than a cleaning deposit. Thank You Member!

They were beyond my budget. So, I have not used them yet. They were very professional and they gave me a lot of information that I did not know before. I did not have to pay them to give me an estimate. I had an excellent experience with them. I will use them in the future when I have the budget.

Thank you for taking the time to make such a kind report even if you could not hire us. After just recently having surgery, I had to send my partner to do the estimate and I am very proud that she was able to thoroughly answer all of your questions. I understand that times are tough for everyone' especially right now. we do try to give all of our customers the most reasonable price that we can for the quality of work that we do. We hope that we can serve you in the future. We thank you Denise and Molly ( Women in Construction)

It was a wonderful experience. Virtually everyone I know told me to expect everything to take twice as long and cost twice as much as quoted, but that was not the case with Denise and Molly. They showed up exactly when they said they would, they told me in advance exactly what to expect. They consistently went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out - I'm a rather messy and disorganized person by nature and I needed a lot of help! The work was completed when they had originally told me it would be done; there were no cost overruns; and their workmanship is excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to remodel their home.
Description of Work: They completely gutted my master bath and guest bath and replaced everything: the vanity, toilet, flooring, and tub/shower. They also removed the old tile in my kitchen and dining room; and the old carpeting in the living room and hallway; and replaced everything with ceramic tile.

Thank You so much for all of your kind words. Having your whole house torn apart and redone by people you hardly know is already a difficult task. However, it is always a blessing when you work for someone who puts their complete trust in you and does everything that is asked of them in order to make the job run smoothly. I know it was extra difficult for you to have to relocate and juggle your pets to help us be able to fullfill our contract in a timely manner. Thank you for going above and beyond and treating us to lunch and star bucks cards. We hope you enjoy your newly remodeled home. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Dennise and Molly responded in the evening of day I placed the call requesting an estimate. This was fully acceptable since they are both the workers and managers of the company. As it should be, they were focusing on their current customer. They were able to come by for an estimate within 2 work days and start the following day. OUTSTANDING! They were honest, friendly, flexible, responsive, prompt, courteous, fast, professional, and extremely knowledgable. They not only removed and replaced the grout around the guest tub, the replaced they removed and replaced the grout between the tub and the floor as well. They then scrubbed down then entire tile area of the tub enclosuer. None of this was in the original work order. They gave lots of advice for things I could do to improve the remaining grout. While they acknowledged that they could use the work, they stated that I was fully capable of doing the grout acid cleaning we discussed and recommended that I do it vice hiring them. That level of forthrightness is rare, especially in todays home improvement/repair environment. I hired them because they were honest. This was proven by their recommendation that the master shower had so many installation problems that redoing the grout would be a waste of money. They were the only people/company that were forthright. Another company, when pressed, confirmed what they had recommended. The quality of the work was phenomenal. They showed up as scheduled, took precautions to protect the flooring and surrounding areas, cleaned up and left the bathroom in better shape then they found it. If you don't hire Women in Construction, you are making a mistake. I will hire them again when we remodel our master bathroom as part of our a major renovation project in the next couple of years.
Description of Work: Remove damaged grout around guest tub and shower walls, replacing with matching grout. Provide an estimate on grout refinishing and replacement in master shower.

It went great! We could not have been more pleased with the outcome and with the professionalism. Denise and Molly are incredibly hard workers--and nice people to do business with. You do have to get on a waiting list, so if you want a job done next week it probably won't work out. But, for someone who wants a top notch job, it is worth waiting a few weeks.

Denise and Molly did a great job. I had several quotes, they had the quality proposal by far. They went the extra mile to get the job done right whether it was helping us choose the materials, the layout or the grout. They were exact with their quoted price and they stuck to it. When we had changes to make (adding area to be tiled), they quickly quoted us a price and executed the change. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: Installed porcelain tile in kitchen and three bathrooms. Measured job, consulted on tile size, color, layout, materials and other options. Met us at retailer to assist in tile color, size and material choices. Ordered tile for us at installer's discount rate.

I am extremely pleased with the wonderful job they did. I can say nothing negative about them. They really worked their butts off, I sudder to think of what I would have if I had stayed with the other contractors. They gave me an estimate and stuck to it, instead of the scary "time and materials" the others wanted. Molly even made me the most delicious lemon meringue pie on my birthday!
Description of Work: The two women are miracle workers, in my opinion. I live alone and had two bathrooms with a lot of water damage. The other contractors were bossy and tried to tell me what I could and couldn't do wth my bathroom. These women gave me really great advice on tile and design, otherwise they would look like gas station bathrooms. They installed beautiful tile, and their plumber, electrician, hot mop guy, and shower door guy were all very expert and reasonably priced. They did a lot of extra work, worked very hard, and were fun. They and their plumber had their work cut out for them, having to repair and replace the horribly shabby work done by Brinks before I found them on Angie's list. They even met me at the tile and plumbing stores, and helped me pick out the correct products.

Denise and her assistant Molly are by far the best contractors I have hired to work on our home. They impressed me from the get go by how organized they are. They return phone calls promptly, show up exactly when scheduled, and start work early each day. They installed 12 inch tiles in our laundry room that matched the nearby exsisting tile floor that was put down in the 1980's. Denise did a fantastic job of matching the grout to look aged so it would look great when placed next to the old tiles. Denise even went out of her way to exchange the bull nose glossy trim tiles I bought becuse they should have been a matte finish. We would love to invite Denise and Molly back to our house when we are ready to remodel the bathrooms.

Denise and her associate were fantastic. They provided a realistic proposal, worked with us closely on selecting and purchasing all required materials and fixtures, provided sound advise when we needed it, were on time every day, kept the area as clean as possible and, most importantly were honest and reliable partners in the project from statr to finish. I knew that their suggestions were best for us and our project, not just designed to increase our cost and their profit. And their quality was superb!
Description of Work: Denise renovated two bathrooms. This included replacing the floor, tub/shower , shower enclosure, toilets, lighting and a great deal of wall and wallboard repair.

We are extremely happy and will use them for any other bathroom/tile remodel we will need in the future in other areas of our house. They were in our house 5-6 days a week for about 4 weeks and after every day they cleaned up the area very well.
Description of Work: We had our master bathroom completely remodeled. The entire bath was demo'd and retiled, we had a large bench taken out which made for a bigger shower and replumbed for an additional shower head. New cabinets installed with marble countertops as well as all flooring retiled in the bath area. We also had a new tub put in with a 4-way tile flange. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!! We also had our master fireplace retiled with travertine.

Where do I start? This was the easiest, cleanest, most punctual job I have ever had done on my house. The results are phenomenal...not because of the tile, but because of the installation. Denise is precise, meticulous and extremely helpful. Women in Construction take pride in their work and it shows in every detail. There is nothing I would change about the result. The only negative is that I now have to compare everyone else to them. There is no comparison!
Description of Work: Denise and Molly met with me to discuss tile, helped me pick the appropriate product, and flawlessly installed the tile in my bathroom. There is only one 90-degree angle in my bathroom, so every tile had to be custom cut. They floated the faceted walls, did the complete shower pan, and basically did the most amazing job I have EVER seen from a contractor.

Response from Women In Construction
If we get a report from a customer then we usually call them and thank them over the phone however this lady was such an amazing person herself that I feel I want to respond so that everyone might know her. First of all , she is very small and petite looking but don't let that fool you. She is fiery, full of vigor and demands attention by her confident control of any given situation. She brought home a new dog during the remodel of her bathroom and very quickly established pack leader in the most elegant way. I was embarrassed to realize that my cat was the pack leader at my house. She is also quite an amazing artist herself. She does bronze sculptures and is extremely talented. She works very well with her hands and is not afraid to get dirty or take on any task in addition to being very nice person. If you get a chance, look at her art pieces. She really is amazing. Although we did not have much time to get to know him, her husband is a very nice guy too. Thank you for all your kind words. It's nice to have the privilege of working for people that really appreciate our work. Denise (Women in Construction)

The entire process from initial phone call to Women in Construction to handing me the final bill upon completion of the project was handled very professionally and done with quality in mind. Denise McEwen was very personable and was very exact on time to complete the project and issues that needed discussion prior to putting down the tile. There were no flaws in her work, communications were excellent and was right on the mark about the time to start and finish the job. She was very careful not to bring in any dirt or dust into our home and cleaned up after the job, which left me with nothing to do but admire the work completed. I would definitely have her do future tile work if needed.
