TSC Restoration, Inc.

1.  They make you sign all kinds of paperwork that is too much to read, so you end up signing it all without realizing what it says. The guy on site who has the paperwork summarizes it for you without telling you the real content. What it basically says is that they will go after you for the money that your insurance doesn't pay. They can take a lien on your home to get this money.  The back of the first page says the minimum charge will be $25,000 for whatever work they do.
2. They will pack up your belongings to a warehouse and hold your stuff until your insurance company pays. My insurance company paid the bill in full without haggling, so I was lucky.
3. They charged about $15,000 to pack up my first floor and store it for 2 weeks. That should have cost less than $1000.
4.  They "accidentally" billed for items that were false and their bill has default items on there that are confusing. They billed to replace my dryer. My dryer was in the garage and never left the property. They billed for opening all boxes and "cleaning/drying" the contents at the warehouse and then resealed them. No boxes appeared to be opened ever. They fixed the dryer problem when it was pointed out, but if you don't read every little line item to check them, they might over charge you.
5.  To get my items back, they wanted me to sign a release that said I was not allowed to complain to the BBB or the State Contractor's license board of CA about them, or post negative comments on Yelp or Angie's list or anywhere on the internet.  The release also said that my insurance company or I was not allowed to sue them once I got my things back.  I made TSC draft a different release that just released them of liability of my belongings.
6. They treated my fresh water flood as sewer damage and took out way too much...they trashed all my cabinets in the laundry room, kitchen, guest bathroom, and master bathroom. They cut 2 feet of drywall around the entire perimeter of the first floor. They took out granite countertops and ruined them. Again, I am lucky my insurance paid to replace everything but not all companies would do that.
7. They damaged my air conditioning unit when they used that breaker for the dry out fans.I am not even bothering to tell them to fix it as I don't want to ever talk to them again.
In short, use this company at your own risk!!!

well i got to thier office and they said not to worry it did not matter what Mark gross said . That i should hire mike  Bucememi attorney at law. and sue travlers for not paying them the entire bill of 19780 that it did not matter what their own experts said but this way we would force travlers to pay the entire bill plus and extra 20k or more.
he was trying to force me to conspire with him to defraud the the insurance co. in other word either you sue travlers or you lose 20k.
My God i have never met a more corrupt Group of people and so devoius in my life.
I called Travlers and told them that they were correct as to the stucco and the kitchen cabinets and that i would not be a party to such a
a scheme. They in turn sent their own investigator and this is not the first time TSC has tried this type of action
please listen stay away from this company. they are going to cause you a lot of money and  trouble.

The dry-out went well, but when the owner of TSC came over with my insurance adjuster and told me how the repair work would have to be done, I asked my adjuster to send another company over for a second opinion.  It seemed like the owner of TSC was over-estimating the extent of repair work needed, and that was confirmed by the second opinion that I got.  I did not hire TSC for the repairs, and was suprised by how much he charged my insurance for the dry-out because I got an estimate for the cost of the dry-out from the second company that gave me the repair estimate.  Also, I got a copy of the itemized dry-out invoice with my initials and the date at the bottom and my initials again underneath it in a blank space which looked to me like it was transposed from something else, because I had never seen the charges or that invoice.  These events are the cause of me not wanting to hire this company again.

TSC Restoration had a 1/2 hour response time and completely handled the flood from start to finish. They worked side by side with the insurance company, and I was thoroughly pleased. I would recommend them to anyone!!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!
