MSJ Delivery Moving & Storage

This was the best move for us by far! I want to thank Carlos, Brian, Miles, Andre, Rafael, and Steve for doing such a great job. We just finished unpacking and there was not one broken item. One remote was misplaced (our fault not theirs) and they stayed to help us look for it. Each person introduced themselves and were great with all of our possessions. They exceeded our expectations.

Tina was excellent to work with in setting up the move and Asa, Brian, and Rafael did a fantastic job moving us.

They were pretty good. They were supposed to send over 3 men, but one of the guys had broken his foot so only two people showed up and they were about 30 minutes late. It went well beyond the three hours due to this. It turned out to be an 8 hour long move. However, they worked it out, honoring the coupon and discounted me the gas involved. It turned out to be really, really reasonable.

Probably the best moving experience we have ever had. Tina was the contact that arranged everything over the phone and explained everything in detail. I called on 12/17 to book the move for 12/30. She was a charm to work with. On the day of the move, the driver, Shawn, called at 7:55 to say they were on their way. They arrived 20 minutes later. There were three guys, Shawn, Brian, and Rafael. We walked thru the apartment to go over what was going and what was staying. They then decided it would be quicker to use the alley instead of the front entrance. I was impressed that as they went down to move the truck to the alley, nobody went down empty handed (small thing, but shows you they think as movers). All of our furniture was wrapped in moving pads and secured with the shrink wrap tape they brought. They also brought 5 wardrobe boxes we used for the clothes in the closet we did not pack. We packed them as they were moving things out. Arriving at the new place, we walked thru our options of how to take our things into the condo. Either way was a good distance, either through the courtyard or around the back. They chose the option from the back. They brought everything in and set it where we said and re-assembled the pieces they took apart. The moving crew was excellent. They were polite and efficient and I would recommend them to anyone. The price was reasonable, especially when you consider the professionalism and expertise you get. Thank you, MSJ!

Assa and Derrick were friendly, polite, and respectful. They brought in my things efficiently while asking where I would like them placed. They unwrapped my sofa, bed, and other furniture carefully. Tina, the company's scheduler, was a joy to work with. Everyone knows the stress of moving and coordinating various deliveries and installations. Tina was pleasant and patient. Overall great experience and highly recommend!!

Byron and Derek were awesome. Punctual and hardworking. Great service.

They came on time, explained everything, and it went well. See earlier paragraph, I explained it really well.

MSJ was extremely prompt and took good care of our stuff. This includes not only getting it from our old home to our new one and avoiding any breakage, but also moving stuff into storage. When we arrived at our new condo, Carlos, Steve, and Brian "built" the condo starting with the carpets, then adding furniture. As we went ahead, the movers shifted things (sometimes more than once) as we figured out where everything should go, and even offered advice on what configuration looked better. All throughout, the movers maintained an exceptionally professional demeanor, but they were also friendly. I note that the guys worked like dogs for hours, and maintained a rapid pace that SAVED US MONEY on the original quote.

There were three employees Fernando, Byron, and Miles the three of them were wonderful to work with on time personable and careful with our possessions...

Andre and Byron were fantastic. They arrived on time, had all the equipment, floor protection, even little protective pads for the legs on furniture that was moving from a carpeted to hardwood surface. The were fast and efficient and most of all careful. Stu, the owner, answered the phone when I called the day before service. Since this was two days before Christmas and faced with the pending arrival of several family members I believe he could tell I was tense. His confident tone and assurance that his crew would take care of everything we needed calmed me down. Every step of the service went precisely as promised by Stu. Overall MSJ Deliver, Stu, Andre and Byron made a very positive impression. We will have need of their help in the future and will surely call on them.

This company did a professional job.

Sawn and Asa are outstanding. I live down a steep driveway and they were unable to get the truck backed down the hill without potentially damaging the fencing. With no complaints, they parked at the top of the hill and got started hauling all of my furniture up to the top of this long, steep driveway. Both the delivery staff and the office staff were very professional and I would definitely use them again. They are worth it!

Everything was done efficiently and professionally from the estimate to the delivery of the last piece of furniture. They packed on the first day and moved everything on the second day. There was a breakage of a piece of tempered glass that had been simply laying on top of a media cabinet. As I was not aware this piece was detached I did not warn the movers and it got shattered during the move. However, once I got MSJ the manufacturer they immediately ordered a new glass cover and delivered it to us within 3 weeks (The delay was the manufacturer's not MSJ's). They remained courteous and helpful throughout the process. I would use this company again, but would also recommend that anyone moving get insurance. Some snafu's are bound to happen, especially with high-end furniture pieces.

MSJ followed up the communication a week before, the day before and the morning of the move. Nice. Fernando, Miles, and Brian showed up at my door on time and ready to work. These guys worked non stop for 90 minutes until their truck was loaded with everything in the house. They wrapped anything and everything that was fragile or frail looking. They told me they were going to wrap my king size and queen size mattresses, for a price. I almost turned it down, but it was worth it. The bedding was clean and flawless when it arrived. I've gone with "discount" two man movers in the past and got burned with damaged items. These guys and the office people were pleasant to deal with, very professional. BTW: They had no radio or boom box. .They played no loud music ! With an Angies List deal the service was a bargain.

My experience with MSJ was absolutely terrific !!! From my first call I knew that it was a great Company. Tina was not only extremely helpful but patient with me through the process of figuring out what I would need ( truck size , man power, boxes, etc.) to get moved in the most cost effective way. Steven and Mike showed up on time, worked fast packing things up and loading the truck. When they arrived in Los Angeles they had to bring my things to a 3rd floor apartment not easy to do without a service elevator. They did it with the same wonderful attitude they had when they started in SD. Unloaded the truck quickly and made sure everything they brought up was placed where I wanted it. I can't say enough good things about the work ethic of these guys, they took the stress out of my move . I trusted them and they didn't disappoint. I will of course not hesitate to use them again!!!

This personal move went extremely well. They arrived exactly at the time they had said they'd be there and they immediately got to work. The movers were all quick and professional and everything arrived in tact with no issues, scratches, broken furniture, etc. The total move took less than the time estimated and therefore was cheaper than estimated as well. Our movers were Carlos, Brian and Mike and Carlos as the leader did an excellent job. We'd definitely recommend using them to anyone and would use them again in the future.

Thanks Carlos and Raca. You guys did a fantastic job! Carlos and Raca are very nice hard working guys that took extra care of everything they did. I highly recommended them . Very reasonable prices and no surprise extra costs.

MSJ responded as promised to schedule the move. Their office person, Tina, was very courteous both via email and over the phone. On the day of the move, Asa and Shawn were very prompt and came before the promised time. Once here, they were extremely polite and got right to work. The sofa was large and the doorway small, and they had to remove the door and the sofa's feet. They also wrapped the sofa in plastic wrap, so despite the tight fit, the sofa, walls and doorway were undamaged. The sofa's move to the apartment went very smoothly as well and the job was done within the allotted 2 hours. I was impressed with their professionalism and hard work. Of course their Angie's List deal with MSJ helped in my rating, too. --ch

I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with the team from MSJ Delivery. Carlos, Brian and Sean (the CBS crew) had began our move on Monday, 12/1/14. Because our new home wasn't ready for us we stored our belongings with MSJ for delivery on 12/3/14 - needless to say I had to frantically call Tina and let her know our home wouldn't be ready until Thursday 12/4/14. Tina told me not to worry, she would take care of it and still send out the "CBS Crew" to finish our move. Thursday came with a call from Carlos letting us know he was on his way. The Crew arrived as promised and began to gently unload and put together all the memories my husband and I have collected over the years. Carlos, Brian and Sean work well together as a team. They were polite, professional and made us feel relaxed as they moved our furniture in and then moved it again when I wasn't sure I liked where I initially wanted my hutch. They never seemed put out or rushed. Carlos kept reassuring us he was here for us and we would get it done. He wanted us to be happy and we are!!! MSJ thank you again and again. Not that I want to go through another move any time soon, but if I had to you would be the first call we'd make.

MSJ disassembled, moved and reassembled all major furniture and miscellenious items from old 4 bedroom home. Travel distance between the old and new home was only a couple of miles. 3 movers and a 24ft truck. Purchased the Angie's List coupon for 3 movers, 3hrs plus 24ft truck for $299. The project took an additional 4-5 hours and added about $600 in cost at $156 an hour. Overall the the movers were excellent. They took great care of our things and seemed trust worthy which is one of the core concerns I have each time I've hired a moving company. We were not well organized as the move was rushed and these guys rolled with the punches and helped maneuver around all of our mess and missized and awkwardly packed boxes. They were excellent. Very happy with the service we received from MSJ!

It all started with Tina. She answered my phone calls and remembered details that made my experience with MSJ feel more personal, like we were old friends. She sent our Carlos, Brian and Shawn. Carlos called Monday morning with his eta and arrived as scheduled. He introduced himself and his wonderful crew. They quickly put our minds at ease and got to work. At one point we thought we would have to call for another smaller truck, but Carlos said he'd make is work and he did. Kind, Courteous, Professional. That is how I would sum up our experience with MSJ. I would use them again and I highly recommend them to anyone needing great movers!

I have had really bad experiences with movers in San DIego over the years so I did some research this time. MSJ lived up to all the positive reviews and then some. Starting with Tina who was responsive, got me scheduled and coordinated the effort to pick up the boxes three weeks in advance. Moving out of a downtown high rise downtown has all kinds of rules. No problem for MSJ. The lead worker, Carlos, called me at 8:00 a.m. as scheduled and arrived about 8:20 with his crew, Brian and Rafael. All three were clean cut, politte and ready to rock and roll upon arrival. Orientation with security went smooth and they immediately got to work. They took care of all my valuable furniture and 4 high end flat screen tv's (one 60" plasma that weighs about 200 pounds. They handled the troubles with downtown parking with grace and had to deal with a difficult police officer who wouldn't let them park in front of the loading dock like every other moving truck has for the 13 years I lived there. For Carlos and his crew - no problem. They worked hard and hauled the stuff out the other door. They did a fabulous job reassembling the beds -- and fixed the king bed that my previous movers had broken making it more secure. Everything was unloaded with lightening speed and a great attitude. San Diego - if you are moving, do not even think about using anyone else. These guys were first class from start to finish and I'm very particular.

The best movers on the planet - that's how we describe Carlos, Byron, and Andre to all our friends! They were punctual, courteous and professional in every way; our move was controlled and relatively stress-free solely because of them. They were undaunted by the surprisingly heavy box, the full cedar chest in the closet, and the chiminea on the patio. Carlos' patient mantra remained the same: "Sure, no problem". There seemed to be nothing that would faze him! Our furniture and boxes went to two different locations, with labels (mostly) for everything. " Sure, no problem". We were pretty fussy about padding and protecting special pieces, and they were extremely careful and conscientious. But if I wanted even more padding, "Sure, no problem". We can't say enough about this group, especially Carlos. Truly nice individuals, who know how to relate to everyone, especially stressed-out people. Thank you so much, Carlos!

Carlos and his team (Shawn, Brian, Steven, Andre, Asa, Derrick, and Byron) were very professional and courteous. I am very picky about how my expensive furniture, art and antiques are handled and they complied with everything I wanted. They never argued with me and took special care of my items. I have had to move several times for work over the years and these guys were the best movers I have used. Because our new home is being extensively remodeled almost all of the moved items went into storage in our garage. I was able to rent the blankets they were packed in at a reasonable rate so that everything stays protected during the next few weeks. I was surprised that they were able to pack up and move a 4200 square foot home in just two days - they are very hard workers! I was quoted a price estimate and they came in just below the quote. Moving overall can be a very stressful experience and Carlos and his team made it a little less stressful. I will be writing a second review after they come back and move everything into the house in a few weeks.

So Husband and I are blessed with a move to our new home -- but what about our stuff?! Enter "MSJ Delivery" (MSJD). Back in 2012, MSJD moved us and our worldly possessions (see 12/2012 Yelp review). Having an EXCELLENT past experience with MSJD, I was hoping for a repeat experience. So I contact MSJ via their web page, and Tina got back to me within two (2) business days. I explained how we needed to move from Nat'l City to So. San Diego, and how it involved an appliance swap to/from a two story home . . . and how Husband is extremely concerned about damage to our new home. Tina assured me their highly qualified, seasoned employees will take every precaution to pad and protect the appliances, stairwell and entryway. As moving day grew closer, Tina called to confirm the date and patiently listened to my concerns -- I know MSJD can do the job, but Husband had to get his Doubting Thomas on. For better or worse, Veterans Day 2014 arrived, and so did MSJ -- and can I tell you -- they didn't disappoint! Cruising up to our home in their 24' truck, Fernando took the lead with support from Miles and Byron (F, M&B). I had to work that day, so Husband was left to oversee this endeavor. According to Husband, the guys DID NOT disappoint! He was thoroughly impressed with their punctuality, professionalism and care. NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER to our new home, our belongings or the appliances (both LG appliances, one set 2yrs old, the other purchased 02/2014). Even better, BOTH sets of appliances WORKED after they hooked them up! Fernando, Byron and Miles totally eliminated the headache and guesswork out of it. Husband and I are not mechanically inclined, so these guys are just who we needed. Husband happily reported the bed sets were assembled in short order, and F,B & M worked in a very efficient, timely manner. For retired military Husband to say that -- that's huge! F, M&B took a 30 min. lunch -- no goofing off or unnecessarily running the clock to drum up more business. MSJD's guys worked an honest day's labor for honest day's pay. F, M&B did labor that day. Its amazing how much 'stuff' you can accumulate! Not only did they have bedroom sets to move/set up, but appliances, and a whole sizable metal storage shed literally filled with wire racks fully loaded with our worldly goods. Bottom line is we had a wonderful repeat experience, well worth the $1180.45 + tip. You get what you pay for, and with MSJD, its quality employees with strong work ethics that (literally) deliver quality product(s)/experiences. Thank you Byron, Fernando and Miles, for literally taking care of our belongings -- as if it were your very own! MSJ Delivery, please give these guys a raise -- their hard work (poor guys had to make two trips, we are blessed with SO MUCH STUFF) and attention to detail left this repeat customer very happy and satisfied. Having moved twice in two years, I hope to not repeat this experience. If I need to, I'm calling MSJ Delivery; if my friends/family have a move in their future, I will tell them MSJ Delivery is second to NONE! Thank you again, MSJ Delivery -- your guys know how to handle your business, and your OCD/Type "A" customer (talking to you, Husband!) is left VERY, IMPRESSED and HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!
