Description of Work: Great service! Super communications! Service: Diagnosed a non-responsive air conditioner and provided quote for repair and replacement. Repair of an 18 year old AC unit was not advised when it was $3,000 for repair and $4,000 for new. Agreed. 1. Initial visit: called early morning, came late morning. 2. Worked us in early after calling to check if OK to come early. 3. Diagnosed quickly, presented options. 4. Returned late afternoon with replacement unit. 5. Called when they were going to be late. 6. Worked until 7pm to complete work. 7. Everything worked perfectly. Subsequent call: 1. Called on Labor Day because our water heater was off and it is next to the A/C unit so wondered if it was turned off during A/C work. 2. THEY ANSWERED THE PHONE ON THE HOLIDAY! 3. They had not touched the water heater but walked me through it and offered to come out on Tuesday even though they don't do water heaters! 4. With the phone coaching solved the water heater problem.

Description of Work: Diagnosed and replaced failed igniter on heating unit.

Description of Work: Gave a free estimate on repairs (on a Sunday!) and then replaced a defective furnace the next day. We called when our gas furnace failed to light and had a burning electrical smell. Allen came and looked at the unit. He advised that a circuit board had shorted. Replacement would cost around $300 and take a week to get parts. He said that it was common for the fan motor next to the board to fail also, and that would be another $700 and a week for parts. We asked for a quote for a new system, and this was double the cost of repairs. We also wanted an electronic filter, which was another $1500. As the old furnace was 18 years old, we decided to go with the new. Allen did not pressurize us at all, and would happily have repaired the old furnace if we wanted. The estimate was a flat rate (not hourly), so we knew in advance the entire cost.
