Description of Work: Front porch, removed old ceramic tile, cement fiberboard and wood support structures. Rebuilt improved support structures and installed new Trex decking. Workman were very skilled and did excellent work. They were timely and friendly. We are very pleased with the work.

Description of Work: Rebuild one portion of a sash window. The carpenter couldn't figure out how to remove the window - I had to show him. That should have been my first clue since it is pretty basic. Once he removed the window he broke the glass. They wouldn't replace it and it cost me an extra $125! When he showed me the "finished" window it wasn't remotely close to the original. After I pointed it out to him he more or less fixed it although it still wasn't like the one on the other side. He then put the window back in and replaced the molding. I pointed out that the molding was very crooked and he removed and replaced it. There is a large gap between the frame and the window. I would never use this company again for even the most basic job!

Description of Work: The water heater had ruined the dryall. We replaced the heater immediately and Best Rate Repair sent us a wonderful man who had to work all around the water heater, patching behind and under. He did a terrific job, arrived on time to the minute, and was really great to work with.

Description of Work: The offer was $99 for 3 hours of termite repair work. The person showed up and went over the work that would need to be done. I asked that it be broken out by what could be done with the 3 hours of work and what would be additional. That never happened. The price I received was over $3700! They were very slow to respond to my responses and never addressed what I asked until the very end. I ended up getting the work done by a professional roofer at a much lower price. They have still not refunded the $99 after 3 requests.

Description of Work: They found where our leak was. IT WAS SPRAYING INTO THE ROOM OVER THE WINDOW. WE COVERED WINDOW, WITH A TARP, AND KEPT MOVING FURNITURE AND WIPIN UP WATER. BEST-RATE CAME AND HELPED US THE NEXT DAY. WHEN THIS STARTED, THEY WERE CLOSED. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME WE HAVE HAD THEM AND THEY ARE GREAT. I WILL CALL THEM AGAIN IF WE NEED THEM. | .

Description of Work: I'm not sure if I would use them again. It seemed so expensive. I would need to get a couple of bids to know how they were priced. I did not like that they smoked and it blew in my house. A shop vac might be a good addition to their tools. but the job seemed complete.

Description of Work: Best-Rate Repair repaired termite and dry-rot damage to the exterior fascia and rafters. | |Best-Rate Repair came out to inspect what work needed to be performed, arrived a little early (which was great), and evaluated the damage. A few days later I received an estimate/contract and a proposed date for the work to be completed, via email, which I signed and emailed back. I was not able to be home at the time of service but did receive a call promptly at 8:00 am from the worker. When I came home, I inspected the repairs. Some small areas of dry rot had been filled, another area had a portion of the damaged fascia cut out and new wood inserted, and several false rafters were replaced. Pre-primed wood was used and all repairs were painted to match the existing color of the trim. The only way that I was able to find one of the repairs was because the new paint wasn't dirty like the surrounding area. All repairs look really good and are not noticeable as repairs. |This is the second time I have used Best-Rate Repair and I have been very satisfied with their work. I would definitely recommend them and will call them the next time I need repairs for the type of work they do - and they do a lot of different types of repairs. Check them out.

Description of Work: They did several small projects. Replaced wood trim under the roofline, added trim under the front door, mounted a board for a garden hose reel, and cut off the beams hanging out from under the eaves (wood rot). All projects were done professionally and in short time. Very satisfied with their workmanship and attention to my requests.

Description of Work: Replaced 24ft of trim rotted board & front roof board. Painted new boards & removed old stuff from property. The work was done properly & in less time than expected, especially considering how hot it was at the time. We have another project that we are hoping they can do when the time comes.
