Best-Rate Repair Company

Mike the estimater showed up early for our appointment. He measured and surveyed the damage to be repaired. He emailed the estimate the same day and set up an appointment for the work. Mike and the two workers showed up on time and got right to work. They were very professional and did an excellent job of repairing and painting the new wood. They also painted some additional wood that had not been sealed. A wooden step was broken during the work and they quickly replaced the step. They cleaned up the entire area and the work they did was outstanding.

Yes, we needed a termite inspection. BUT We also needed a lot of Termite Wood repair that this company does do. But I was NOT Given a Complete Inspection. All he inspected and gave us a quote for was the wood in the Front Bottom, Easy to Reach Small Section of our 2 story home. He should have inspected all over completely and thoroughly and both stories. Our termite wood damage is going to cost us (with another company) well over $2,000. I don't get it, does he own and run a termite wood termite repair company or not? Why did he not give us a complete inspection, It would have given his company so much more money! Was our job too big for this company to perform? I look to Angie's list, for guidance, and after buying the *Big Deal* I truly thought I was getting the best of the best. What Happened? The~ Big Deal ~ was for 3 hours of work for $99.00. Because of his Complete Lack of Wood Rot Inspection, I'm out $99.00, BUT there's now $99.00 in His Pocket, for Doing Nothing. Now thats Some Gimmick!

It turned out very well. They did a very professional, top rate job. They cleaned up after they were done. It was just the $99. They did a lot of work for the $99, no question. I would use them again.

Their estimate was to partially replace the stairs. Only damaged wood was to be replaced. A competing quote that demolished the old stairs and completely replaced them was cheaper

It went well, the worker was prompt and the work only took an hour longer than the paid coupon price costing me an additional $80. It would have taken even longer but we decided to paint it ourselves to save further cost. The only drawback was when the owner came out to do the estimate he commented that he was sure the work could all be done in the 2 hours. All in all it worked out fine.

Nothing done. No quote received on deck replace/repair and fence replace/repair. 'Redo the whole thing' was his only answer. Cherry picking his jobs. Promised a quote, none received, and no follow-up. If he doesn't like the work you want done, he will waste both your time and his to let you know.

He came out, but his estimate was out of our ball park. We had purchased a big deal and he only gave us an estimate to touch our house and I didn't use the big deal. He is a very nice man, and he is very personable but the quote was too high. He just gave us a verbal quote, so I don't have anything in writing. He seemed very knowledgeable, but I didn't get what I paid for, and we didn't talk about what I could get for the big deal I had purchased.

Did a great job repairing, blending in with existing woodwork.

I purchased the Angie's deal for this, thinking it would suffice; it was $149 for 4 hours of work. When they came out and gave me the estimate, they indicated that it would take several more hours than the Angie's Deal covered, and they translated the estimate into dollars, based on a certain hourly rate. The amount seemed fair, considering the difficulty in accessing some of the locations. They arrived on schedule, explained the process, and completed the replacement in much less time than the original estimate. If the estimate had not been translated into dollars, I would have only owed an hour more than I paid using the Angie's deal, because they ended up taking only 5 hours instead of 9, but because it was in dollars and there was no mention of how it was calculated, I ended up owing $460 (the amount of the estimate less the Angie's deal credit). I felt like I really didn't get any deal at all via the Angie's deal. But despite this, they did a good job, cleaned up after themselves, and the amount I paid I felt was fair, so I still give them an A. I've had similar repairs done in the past and they cost more than I paid. But in the future I will really have to think about using another Angie's deal. I would have been better off without the deal, in this case.

I purchased an Angie's Big Deal coupon for 4 hours of work for $149 and used it towards some wood rot damage to my roof fascia board and shadow board. Their estimate for the job, including painting was between 4-6 hours, but Travis came early this morning and completed the job in just under 3 hours. He was polite and professional and did a great job on the repair, making the board seams invisible and even texturing the paint to help match the existing fascia board. I am very satisfied with their service and would happily recommend Best-Rate for this kind of work.

Don came out and advised me on the dry rot. He asked if I had bought the home as-is, and I said I had a termite clearance. He said that most of the damage he found should be covered under the warranty of the termite clearance, and it was. He saved me quite a bit of money. I have used Best-Rate Repair in the past and was very satisfied with the work then. This continues my satisfaction with this company and would call them again.

They were very professional and did what they said they would. I had quite a bit of damage that needed to be fixed and they did a great job. I will call them again in the future if I need some more work done.

Three problem areas with the window trim around the front windows: wood rot, termite damage and one area I wasn't sure what was wrong, but paint would not stick. I bought a Big Deal and scheduled Don to look at the job. Don diagnosed the cause of the wood rot area and suggested a fix. We agreed on what needed to be done and scheduled the repair. The repair guy, Sergio, was excellent. He was neat and meticulous. He expertly removed entire damaged sides, cut new ones, primed and painted everything to match. He sanded the area where the paint would not stick (there was no rot or damage, just old wood) primed and painted. Time will tell if that area will stay painted. The two damaged areas look like new. I bought the paint and the Big Deal. Sergio had materials, so I didn't need to buy wood. The work took exactly 4 hours, and Sergio worked the whole time. This has been my best Angie's Big Deal yet.

Removed old wood post & replaced with new post + stucco + paint. I had other contractors replace other 2 posts, but Best-Rate was the Best. Rick was very conscientious, punctual, and complete. He completed 60% of the total job for the facia repairs for your $149 offer. The contract he wanted for the whole job was too high and open-ended. We are still talking about finishing the remaining 40%. The repairs were completed with an excellent result. There is no visible evidence that the repairs were even completed. I hope my offer to pay twice as much for the remaining 2 repairs is taken. I figure that I paid $50 per the three repairs completed. I am offering to pay $100 per repair of the 2 remaining repairs for an additional $200.

It went great. I called the week before the work was done and one of the owners called and set up an appointment for the next day. The other call I placed to another highly ranked outfit never called me back. The work consisted of replacing deteriorated siding, which had to be especially milled. Don gave me a rough estimate and offered a work slot on the following Monday. I was thankfull for that as I had to leave town shortly after. On Monday am Don and Rocky the carpenter arrived. We went over the work and the possible problems, which didn't occur. Work commenced. I worked along side Rocky all day as I had much to do otherwise on the house. Rocky was all that could be hoped for and then some. He finished his work in good order and did some extra patching that he noticed along they way. For a first contact I can't say enough good about these folks and they are on top of my list for furture projects. The final price was within the estimate. Ask for Don and Rocky.

Mike Spencer surveyed the project and gave the estimate. Dave and Jose did the work. It took them 6 days to demo, build and paint the frame. We were very happy with the outcome. They were both friendly and helpful when answering my questions during the project and were sensitive to our concerns. They left the work site clean daily and covered our pool so that we got no sawdust in it.

We were very happy with the carpenter that did the work on our home. He was professional and competent. Mike, however, was abrupt and cut me off during phone conversations.

John Brown came the very next day and thoroughly inspected the floor both from above and from underneath (which required squeezing into a very small crawl space). He also inspected the exterior of the house and the attic to determine the home's remodeling history and what changes might be contributing to my concerns. He provided several options, as well as a logical order in which to proceed. I could not have been happier with his suggestions.

They had the specialized equipment. I even extended the time for them to finish. They were able to take care of the problems. It turned out well
