Repair technicians completed the job from start to finish in one day with minimal disruption. Excellent repair work! Cleaned up perfectly and very courteous and considerate to me, my dog and my neighbors!

When they contacted us to schedule the Big Deal we were informed they would need to come to look at the wood rot and the first time would be two weeks from then. Even though they had our money we needed to sign a proposal and it differed from what they told us when they came out to look at the job. We can get it done sooner and cheaper elsewhere. We'd like a refund.

Mike, the estimator showed up early (a good sign), thought he gave me a fair estimate on the work involved. The craftsman showed up 2 days later and did a great job. Would definitely hire again.

The guy was very nice, the rates were very high and he told me the job is going to take 2 days. In other words, too long and too expensive.

It was an okay experience. I do think the price was too high but they did a good job. I don’t think the discount was applied. It took them a day to do the work.

The service went well. I negotiated for them for a full day for an additional fee. I thought the additional fee was fair. I had them restore some water wood rot and termite damage. The technician was very flexible to work with me. I was a helping hand to make sure the sure got completed quickly. I had no issues with scheduling. These beams are very high, difficult to reach and area is confined and does not allow the use of heavy equipment. This crew did an amazing job with just brute strength! They were always friendly , courteous , cleaned the job site each day. They did an excellent job! Would highly recommend This company.

He was pretty responsive and punctual. The quote came back pretty much what we expected. We had an ongoing quote because we’re not sure which direction we want to go. They were highly rated. He’s pretty professional. Yes, we would contact him again if we had another need.

It went very well. The original estimate for the job was $4500.00 but when they pulled rotten wood off of my garage, they found a bigger problem with the work done underneath . The area under the stairway that went up to the deck that was removed also required additional repair that was not forseen on the original inspection.

Don Scouten gave me an estimate. The project appears to be much larger than I anticipated. Decided to postpone and rethink the repair project.

I have decided to postpone the project as it is bigger than I thought. They came out and gave me an estimate for the work and it was going to require a lot more work and money.

1/8/2015 Update to my review: The termite inspector marked out all the areas that needed repair. The Best Rate workers said that one of the areas had no damage and didn't need to be fixed. I was refunded the $225 that the estimator quoted for the repair of that area. When I put up Christmas lights in late November I found that that area was totally destroyed by dry rot and the wood crumbled when I touched it. Best Rate now wants $430 to repair the area plus another $60 if they have to replace a supporting beam. It's hard to believe it went from nothing wrong with it to fully decomposed in 7 months.

Communication was great and they responded back quickly. Don came out to give us an estimate a week after we called. He was professional. However, we did not use their service because the quote came back quite high compare to others. We needed a door and window replaced and also concreted cleaned from melted plastic.

After our dealings with a well-known but shady (non-Angie?s List) termite company, John Brown from Best Rate came in as a real breath of fresh air. Although it would have been more profitable for him to do otherwise, he pointed out that our house did not have subterranean termites, and he explained how he could tell. (His diagnosis was confirmed by two other companies.) He also patiently walked around the entire house creating a detailed list of patches of wood that needed repair. He explained how each damaged area could be fixed, and he was happy to consider ways to hold the cost down according to the degree of the damage. (In each case, he provided choices and was always willing to discuss the pros and cons of each.) John?s bid for repairing the damage was very competitive with the bid of the termite company. John was also incredibly responsive to questions and concerns after the work got started. He was available by e-mail, text, and phone on weekdays and weekends. We certainly felt very well taken care of! When the project commenced, the workers appeared at exactly the agreed-upon time. They worked hard, kept everything as clean as possible, and straightened up the area at the end of each day. They were also respectful and responsive to questions and concerns. Most important, the finished product was excellent. The gouged wood siding was restored to its original appearance, and the re-painted areas matched the older areas perfectly. One unexpected problem was that the new French (double) doors arrived with the doors swinging in the opposite direction from what I had requested. Following the paper trail, it was clear that this mistake was made by the hardware store that provided the doors, not by Best Rate. Nonetheless, John took responsibility and stepped in to negotiate a solution that I found to be entirely satisfactory. And when I had concerns about the quality of painting in one area, he immediately arranged to have it repainted at no additional cost. In summary, I am very satisfied with the work performed by this company. I would certainly recommend Best Rate for repairing termite damage in an older house like ours.

John, Jose, Travis, Willie and Tyson were the crew that came in to take out my old Trex Deck and replace with the new and improved Trex Deck material. John provided some great suggestions on design in the planning process. Once the old deck was removed, the team ran into many issues that they were able to work through without delay to the timeline. I had also had a couple of special requests during the process that they worked into the timeline: built a spa cover stand and steps. I specifically liked that each team member came during the process to do their part seamlessly. There was no lag in time worked with waiting on people to come or materials. The company was quick to respond to my initial inquiry, but it was difficult to find a time for them to come out and give me an estimate for a new deck. Nevertheless, we found a time (approximately two weeks out) that worked for both of us. During the estimate, Mike was great! He was very knowledgeable and had some great ideas for our deck. He said he would get back to me within a few days with an estimate. Unfortunately, we never heard from them which is both disappointing and frustrating. Back to the drawing board.

They went the extra mile for us. They didn’t have the material readily available, but they managed to find pieces at a reasonable cost. It took a while for them to find the right materials and they probably worked 2 additional hours. It was a bigger job than the deal covered so there were additional fees.

It was very good. They were very friendly. We had a great conversation after he finished. The price was fair.

All fascia that were contracted to be replaced were replaced and painted as promised. I thought the price was a little high for the work agreed upon, however, I have little experience with pricing of the work performed. I decided to go with the company with the proven track record. I have no complaints with the quality of the work performed. Recommend with enthusiasm.

A service guy came in and replaced the outer frame of a window. The manager came first and estimated it's an 8 hour job. We paid extra 4 hours besides the promotional 4 hours.

The company's owner and the technicians performing the service arrived as scheduled for the power washing and again for the deck restoration. All were friendly and professional. Though because of the large size of the deck, the project could not be completed at the deal price. However, the price quoted was defintely reasonable for the services provided. The technicians were thorough, friendly, and fast. The process was completed so quickly that Best Rate was able to provide us with the 3rd coat of paint that we requested at no additional charge. We were delighted to find out that Best Rate offers a wide range of services beyond deck restoration. We plan to use this company again for renovation projects at our home and our rental property. We are very happy with the cost and quality of their work as well as their professionalism and would definitely recommend them to others.
