I just couldn't find a groomer I liked for my 70 lb shepherd mix dog. Even when the grooming itself was good, I was not comfortable about the time that my dog was spent crated. Also, while always saying the service would take just a couple of hours (no matter how early I made my appointment), typically my dog would be at the groomers for 4-5 hours. Not great for the dog, and it put my whole day on hold. I thought I would consider a mobile groomer and found Animal Artistry on Angie's list. From my intial contact (reviewing their website) through the end of the grooming, I found all aspects of this company to be pleasant, efficient and thorough. I opted to email rather than call, and my email was returned promptly and thoroughly addressed all the questions I asked, and the questions I should have asked but didn't. They were very accomodating about finding me an appointment within the week (although they were booked a month in advance). Jennifer, our groomer, showed up exactly on time, Conan (the groomee) loved her - before and after. The van was large (and quiet - which I'm sure made my neighbors happy) and clean and well-equipt. In two hours Conan emerged clean, trimmed, proud and happy. Yes, the price is more than I paid at the brick and mortar groomers, but given the convenience, the reduced stress for Conan, and the gorgeous results, worth every penny. NOTE: a previous reviewer indicated the price included tip, but that is not the case. So I did give our groomer a tip on top of the fee. Again, let me state the whole experience made it worth every penny. I spoke with Jennifer about putting Conan on a three-month schedule. If giving a company an "A+" was possible, I would do it.

I have a miniature Poodle who does not get a traditional poodle hair cut and who hates being kept in a crate for any amount of time. Animal Artistry was perfect! Easy to communicate with to set up the appointment. Confirmed the appoinment twice - two days before and the day of the appointment. The groomer was very professional and friendly. Sweet toward my dog. The groomer followed my directions in how I like the dog to look and the price was reasonable for the services provided. Best of all they came to my house so the dog didn't have to spend any time in a crate at a groomer's store.

I could tell from our several emails that Tara would have been very pleasant to work with.

Chrissy provided grooming services for three families in the neighborhood. My dog is a rescue pup, so I wasn't sure how she would take to entering a van with a stranger. Chrissy let me come into the van and talked with me until time for her to work, then I left the van. My dog, Gracie, looks wonderful. Chrissy knows a lot about animals and answered my questions. My dog's fur, ears, eyes, etc. all look wonderful. As Gracie needs regular grooming, I plan to use them again. The price includes a tip. Totally worth the cost to have Gracie groomed and not have to wait in a kennel with other dogs barking and coming and going.

Tara & Marty Cohen offer a fabulous, self-contained mobile grooming service. They bring the groomer to your house. We began using Animal Artistry Grooming when I fell and badly broke my leg - now, we wouldn't use anyone else. Our three Yorkies (Nikki, Tiger & Jacky) love getting baths. Since Tara takes them one at a time - no one gets traumatized by being stuck in a little cage and did I mention how fabulous they all look? She is great with Yorkies -- from a long, elegant look to a puppy cut! We are on a set 4 week schedule --although they will do work on an occasional basis as well. Try them -- you will be pleased.
