We met with the Weatherite sales representative at our home, who described the various types of windows available and how the construction would proceed.  Then the production manager came to measure the windows and confirm our order.  The construction project took two days.  Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant and professional.  It has been six months and we have had no problems with our new windows thus far.  All around a good experience!

The service and customer services at the time of purchase and installation  was very good. The poor ratings are for their service after the windows were replaced. We have continuously had problems with the patio door not sliding well. We have had them out serveral times to correct the problem. The last time started early October 2012 when we called because the door slides so rough the handle is breaking at both ends by the screws. My grandchildren can't even open it.  A gentleman came out to check the door and ordered a new handle. About a month later 2 young men came to adjust the door and put the new handle on, however, the wrong color was ordered and had to be reorderd again. I have been waiting for the new handle since then. I have called and left multiple messages since then with no response. Dec 3 - left a message, Jan 3 - couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full, Jan 7 - left another message, Jan 8 and today, Jan 9 - mailbox is full. Their post customer service is a huge issue. How long should it take to order a door handle? I am extremely frustrated.

This was by far the worst company we have ever worked with in the twenty four years we have lived at this address.  Weatherite is money hungry and does not care about customer satisfaction! Now that I have your attention, this is why:
On October 15th, 2012 when the installers showed up on the job site they did not know what they were getting themselves into.  The head guy thought he was only putting in retro-fitted windows, and was shocked that he had to remove essentially sixteen feet of windows/slider, stucco, and sheet rock. Mind you this was scheduled as a two day job!  His work order had no drawing of what we and the sales person spoke about a month prior (with the spacing of the slider and window) that would be replacing the eight foot slider and two picture windows.  So of course we are upset and frustrated at this point.  If we could ever have a do over this is the point where we as the customer should have told the gentlemen to leave and to get into contact with us when everyone was on the same page again.  But we didn't, we allowed them to continue with the retro/new construction!
The installers went ahead and installed the retro slider and retro window first because it was easier, and they had to wait for all the wood and other supplies that were needed for the new construction part of the job anyway.  Thankfully, this was the only part of the job that went smoothly and we were happy with right away, so we had some relief.  By the time all the other supplies showed up there was only enough time left in their work day to remove the six foot slider in the kitchen, and build the wall back up for the five by five window.  However, it was not until day two of the job that I realized it was not a five by five window they put in my kitchen, it was the six by four foot window that was for the other wall.  The installer guy was sorry for the mix up but since he didn't have any comments on his work order he just assumed that the six by four window went where the six foot slider came out of, because it was a perfect opening for it. (Pulling hair out!!)
After that was quickly addressed this is when we ran into our next problem.  Since, there was no drawing and now a huge opening in our family room, we the customer had to help the head installer/construction guy mark off where we wanted the new six foot slider and the new six by four window.  Mind you, this was suppose to have been taken care of already! We told him that we didn't want to have anything to do with that and he needed to call the sales person, but he told us that it was our house and we have to live here, so why not tell him first hand. So we agreed, but did call the company to complain.  Which we did not get any satisfaction!  Our response to our problem was, "What do you want us (Weatherite) to do about it?...The installers are there". Eventually by day three of that same week, the windows and sliders were installed and the interior and exterior walls were either stucco patched or taped and textured.
We thought we were home free after that but the next day (day four) was when we ran into even more problems.  Since the job took them longer then anticipated, they had to rush the sheet rock tape and texture part of the job, so it dried bad.  Not on the small kitchen wall but the sixteen feet of new window and slider main family room wall.  There is waves in the wall due to the plaster and texture shrinking.  Of course, we called Weatherite immediately and they sent everyone back out at 6:00pm that evening because they figured it would have been a simple fix.  After entertaining the installers for about a half hour the General Manager finally decided to show up.  So we went toe to toe with him and after a heated debate he finally agreed to redo the wall that was causing us problems.  Since we had with held a huge amount of the money due to not being happy with the work that had been done, the main boss, Mr. Sandino ,informed the GM to have us sign a piece of paper, with no company header, that stated that Weatherite would get their remaining payment in full after the wall was redone that friday (day five) of that week.
The next day (day five) came!  The sheet rock guy was suppose to be at our house at 9:00am, well it was not until 12:00 in the afternoon when one guy showed up.  Now that is the best part, he was not there to fix anything, he was sent out by the company to persuade us again that the job that was performed was within "industry standards" and that we needed to deal with it.  Even showing him the piece of paper that we signed the day before stating that they were going to redo the wall, it only ended up with him getting his GM on the phone (different GM from the previous night).  The GM did nothing but waste even more of our time.  His goal was to get the remaining payment from us in promise that a subcontracted sheet rock company would be out Monday morning to take care of our concerns.  After I let him go on and on, I eventually informed him that I did not know why we hired the company that he is working for to this job, if they were not qualified to do it in the first place.  This then resulted in him telling me that they have been nothing but understanding and nice and we are being unreasonable. So in result, he told us that we would have a lien put on our house come that same upcoming Monday, and their lawyer would be in contact with us. So I said fine and we asked the gentlemen that they sent out to harass to leave.
We received the lien on our house on October 24, 2012 as you can see the following week from the install day.  Not to mention a hate letter, hand typed from Mr. Sandino, telling us off!! and that he has NEVER lost a law suit.  If I could I would love to submit that letter on here for you all to read.  We have copies of everything that I have mentioned above, followed by pictures, and countless voicemails from the company.
Thankfully, the sales person who originally sold us the job, some how went over and beyond to get a change of order submitted to the company; to stop any further legal action from either parties.  So finally on November 16, 2012 we signed a change of order addendum that stated that we would with-hold a grand to fix the wall ourselves and no further legal action would be required; followed by all warranties would be with held, and the lien would be removed asap!
Sadly, it is December 31, 2012 (New Years Eve) and we have not found a company to fix our wall.

We originally signed the contract in April of 2010, but due to issues with parts the job was not completed until August 2011. We felt the actual work crew was very professional, but we had continuous problems with management and customer service. I did not feel like they cared about our issues and getting the job right. Instead we were passed from one manger to the next so that we had no relationship with the person in charge of our job. For that reason alone, I would not recommend using Weatherite. If we had to do the project over again, we would have gone with a different company.

Very well. All items were measured and made to order to fit this old house. The products and workmanship were excellent. The workers were jovial and pleasant to have around. I could not be more pleased with everything that was done and the workers who did the work plus the salesmen who came out in the beginning. All appointments were kept and on time. Quality all around, products and installation. The house is much cooler and way more soundproof plus it looks great.

Plumbing and shower work was good. Painting was not good, but they did have painter come back to improve some of the work and paint a door that was not done. The big problem is that the one-piece sink/counter top was not cut to quite the same shape/size as the original one. The original had a cut-out on one side to accomodate the linen closet, so that the counter top extended out over the base of the cabinet 3/4" so you did not see where the counter top was fastened to the cabinet base. The new counter top did not have the notch cut out, so the edge of the counter top was flush with the side of the cabinet base. So, now the ugly seam where the counter top is fastened to the base is visible. The supervisor came out when I called to tell them I was not satisfied with the ugly seam where the counter top ends flush with the base. He said that I should have detected the error in the drawings they prepared that I O.K'd. All he would do is apply some caulking to the seam, which is rough and still ugly.

They were excellent. They had excellent follow up, an excellent product and overall just excellent. I thought it was expensive, but you get what you pay for and I thought it was worth it.

The salesman helped me pick out the windows and then they installed them in a timely fashion. I like that the windows are easy to open and close and also easy to clean. I'm unsure of the total I paid them but you get what you pay for.
