Water Heaters Only provided an estimate in a prompt manner, with no "hard sell" on anything. The installation went smoothly and on-time. We had one minor call-back issue which the company promptly and effectively addressed.

My water heater pilot light would not stay on, tried fixing it myself but it's an old water heater and the thermocouple was probably bad. Decided to call Water Heaters Only because it was midnight and they were open and had good reviews. They told me I'd get a call for a guy to come out between 2pm - 6pm. By the way, the guy I talked to (can't remember his name) was polite, down to earth, and competent. The technician called earlier than scheduled, said he was in town and could get it done earlier if we wanted. That worked well for us. He showed up and started working right away. Job is clean and professional-looking. I used to do kitchen and bath remodels, so I have a decent eye for it, the job was well done. Hauled away the old water heater and cleaned up well. The technician's name was John Fantham. He was solid, efficient, and an overall nice guy, easy to work with. He didn't mind taking a few minutes to talk me through some things about the water heater and the plumbing. He also was nice with my kids and even the dog. Looked them up on Angies List. Was contacted the same day I bought the deal. Beni showed up earlier than scheduled time which was awesome because I had several things going on. I'm a young windowed mom and Beni was kind enough to help me move some stuff out of the way in the garage. Very professional and on-time. Couldn't have asked for better service. Will recommend to all my friends, family and neighbors.

Showed up within window, provided quote, and installed the same day. Price was $1000 less than another large company in Sacramento. While the technician's language was a little rough when he found some leaks, he promptly fixed them and cleaned everything up before leaving. Kudos for working in 104 degree temperatures with no break or lunch, to make sure we had hot water before he left.

John was thorough and professional in his inspection. Clear and precise in his explanations and recommendations. Answered all questions in detail and provided a detailed estimate for replacement.

Install went well. Just a little late to his scheduled time. Very personable. Would use company again.

I was very pleased with the service from this provider. The installer was fantastic and very professional. He also braced up the water heater stand on his own without my asking and the overall job came out looking great. They had confirmed the appoinment a couple days prior and again that morning and showed up a few minutes early. He gave a good explanation of what he had to do and how long it would take. It has been a couple of months now and the Water Heater is woking perfectly and with the added 10 gallons of water over the old water heat we never run out of hot water. I would not hesitate to use them or recommend their services.

Steve was great. He first explained all of my options and types of available water heaters. No pressure sale. He removed the old water heater and installed the new one. He updated all the parts. He was friendly, professional and did a great job. The cost was less than other estimates. Would definitely recommend this company to my neighbors.

I contacted them this morning when I didn't have any hot water. They were very knowledgable and helpful over the phone, and sent someone out within 40 minutes. After 3 hrs, I had a new hot water heater. Very professional company. and I now have hot water!

Everything went really well, and it was a good experience from start to finish. They got in touch with me right away, they showed on time, and they did a good job without leaving a mess.

It did take a little bit for them to decide that they would do the repair. They really just wanted to replace the water heater. The water heater is old and is due to be replaced anytime but I wasn't keen on it. They first said that they couldn't repair it at all and it finally took me to say that I will pay you for the service call and I will find somebody else to come and fix it before they finally said, fine we will fix it. The work they did was perfect, that was just fine. I am nice and happy. It is not leaking. I am happy with that for now. They did it the next day of the big deal purchase.

Installation was completed as scheduled. The installer, John did an excellent job completing the installation and cleaning up after.

It was a very professional installation and all went very smoothly. We had turned off the water heater a day before to use up all the hot water. The water was drained (50 gallons went on our orange tree), and the old tank was removed. The new pan, expansion tank, water and gas feed pipes and water heater were installed. John cleaned up everything nicely. I was a bit disappointed with the 6-year warranty, but Paul at 'Water Heaters Only' claimed that the length of warranty doesn't matter much - they last a lot longer than that. It would cost $100 more for a Rheem water heater with a 10-year warranty. I should note that the installer provided a $25 rebate coupon for writing this review and said that I would receive the check in about 6 weeks. Bill

I didnt use the deal because the website had advised me that the purchase hadnt went through so I located another contractor. After finding out that the purchase had gone through I spoke with the contractor and they were very friendly.

Services were actually y performed at my Mother's home. The water heater went out on a Friday and they were there on Saturday to replace it. The installer, John, was extremely helpful and professional.

Did a very thorough job in a very difficult process. We had purchased a service coupon and when billed didn't realize that the final amount did not deduct the amount for the service and were very impressed when we received a refund from the company without having to question the billing. They show alot of integrity and class. We will definitely use them again and recommend them as well.

We have an issue with our water heater, and as this company's name is "Water Heaters Only" and it is on Angie's List, we started here. I was in constant email communication with who I assume is the owner. I sent a photo of the unit, and provided the make/model and serial number. The tech arrived earlier than his time frame, which I was thrilled about-HOWEVER: He walked to the unit, and before examining (or apparently not being told of the issue) immediately said "oh, you're going to need a new water heater". I asked if he didn't want to know what the problem was FIRST, and told him-his response "oooh, well we don't really work with Whirlpool products". I'm sorry, but A) the make and model number were given to the owner BEFORE sending this person out, so why wasn't I told at that point that they don't know Whirlpool? B) To be told instantly without any kind of examination that I need a new one, and to have a price already to give me makes me think that this was decided upon before his arrival. I thanked him for coming out and we have called another company.

My 18+ year old water heater gave up the battle & sprung a leak on Labor Day morning. By Wed. morning I had received 4 estimates for replacement & Water Heaters Only was the lowest estimate & could do the job the same day. I felt fairly comfortable with them because they have been in business for so long (they installed the old water heater in 1994) and they have good reviews on Angie's List. John, their technician, called to let me know what time he would be there, with in my appointment time window. He arrived exactly when he said he would & when he took one look at my old water heater & where it was located in a fairly tight closet in my basement, he pointed out several things that would need to be adjusted to meet current CA. codes. Unfortunately the actual install was a little more frustrating. Because of the size of the closet he had to find a "short" tank to fit, which he was able to do through one of their suppliers. It took him about an hour to go pick it up. When he got back he started right in on removing the old tank & the prep work. He had a little bit of trouble getting the old tank up the basement stairs because one of the tires on his dolly was going flat. With me pushing from below, the two of us were able to get it up the last couple stairs. When he went out to his truck to get the new tank I could hear his exasperation. He then had to come in & tell me that the new tank was damaged & couldn't be used. He called the supplier back & they luckily had another one in stock. John was able to convince them to send one of their salesmen to deliver it within the hour, rather than waiting on their regular delivery guys, who could take a couple of hours. In the mean time he was able to keep working on his prep work. The T&P line had to be re-plumbed because the valve is on the side of the new tank instead of the top, like on the old tank. That, however, meant making a new hole to the outside of my house. On his 3rd attempt through the drywall he was able to find an unencumbered route all the way out through the stucco. Unfortunately, it came out behind some electrical conduit & pushed the conduit away from the stucco. John pointed this out to me & also showed me how he capped the old drain. He said he didn't want to remove it because it would leave a hole in the stucco. Not the most esthetically pleasing finishes but a valid point, I guess. John was very apologetic for all of the delays & frustrations and without my asking, took $50 off the bill. I did appreciate that. He also told me about a current promotion they were offering. He didn't have the info flyer with him but he told me who to contact in the office. He called back the next day to check to see if I had any questions. Again, appreciated. The best part, I was able to take a nice hot shower that evening!

They were extremely quick, reliable, worked under adverse conditions and came up with a solution to a tricky problem in no time at all. Great work!!

John came out soon after we discovered a leak in our water heater. He installed a new gas water heater and was very efficient in making sure everything was working properly. John was easy to work with and kept us informed throughout the installation. We had used Water Heaters Only about 10 years ago; we were pleased with them then and pleased with them now. We will definitely use them again.
