Arrived on time and quickly assessed no repairs needed. Did a thorough cleaning and installed spark arrester. Cleaned up after cleaning. Courteous, prompt and attentive to detail.

I called on a Friday, they came out Saturday, gave me the bid, and completed the work on Tuesday. I work so I gave them access to my house while I was gone and they not only did the work, but left my house cleaner than they found it. I really don't have time to interview a lot of different people, so I used Angie's List to find a company with an "A" rating who could give me an honest bid and do the work without me babysitting them. I paid over the phone with a credit card and they applied the initial $99 I paid for the inspection to the balance! I wish they did screens, because I would be happy to hire them again!

AI Chimney was responsive to set up the appointment. Followed up with a reminder and arrived on time. Did exactly what they said they would go - that's rare these days. No mess, good price. We are very happy and will use AI again.

I called A-1 to come out and clean the chimney of a home I purchased in EDH. The service person was punctual, tidy, and let me know what he was doing as he went along. He informed me of a couple of other issues that should be seen to in the future (needed repairs). I actually went ahead with one of those repairs since he was already in my home and offered to do that repair for much less that day. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommend them.

Very responsive and prompt. The same tech that did the estimate also completed the installation. He also inpected both chimneys on the house and said they didn't need to be cleaned - very honest. Cap was fabricated, delivered and installed on schedule and on budget. Price was $600 LESS than the estimate from the roofing company with whom I've done a lot of business. I was very pleased and will be using them again.

Serviceman called ahead, arrived promptly, was friendly and professional in the setup and work performed. He explained his concerns about the unconventional stovepipe configuration to the woodstove. He cleaned the work area before he left.

Person called notified he was in route arrived on time. Professional appearance, polite, offered to set appointment for next year cleaning I declined Person sweep up in chimney only from inside not from roof and vaccumed soot up from hearth then went on roof came back with bill 20 minutes. When I have had a chimney cleaned previously the company hascovered in hearth and vaccumed the chimney as well as sweeping it I felt I could have cleaned it my self with a cob web tool very disappointed with job done

Aaron had cleaned my wood burning insert and fireplace/chimney and cap two years ago. He did such a good job, I wanted him to return. Based on the amount of wood I was burning, he recommended it be cleaned every two years. Aaron is very knowledgeable. I have a 500 pound wood burning insert that is quite old. He brought the proper equipment and was able to remove the stove without a problem. He inspected and cleaned the insert, fireplace and chimney and left my home without a trace of chimney dust. He also removed the chimney cap and cleaned it. He noted that the top of the chimney stack was starting to wear a little and he was able to seal it at the same visit. He was in and out in less than an hour. I will definitely use A1 Chimney and will request Aaron for my next chimney cleaning.

They were very pricey, and I accepted their price because I wanted to get the work done. I would not use them again if their price is high.

Everything went fine. They were right on time.

My husband and I were preparing to rent our house out and were worried about the safety of our fireplace as the home inspector had warned us about it when we first moved in. I asked A1 Chimney to come out and assess the damage, what needed to be done, and the cost. The man who came out declared the fireplace unusable, as we had been told before, but said our best option was not to repair it, but to put an insert in, which they sold at a price of over $2000. I had a feeling I was being swindled, but wasn't sure until our property manager at Lyon Real Estate asked for the same inspection of our fireplace but got an estimate of $200 for repairs. I am still so angry that A1 treated me with such disrespect. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE TO INSPECT YOUR FIREPLACE!! They lie and will try to con you into buying something ridiculously expensive that you don't need.

They were very professional from start to finish. They answerd the phone right away (a lot of companies, only have an answering machine and take forever to call you back.) The work was done on time and very well. Will use again.

I spent about $119 for chimney sweeping and $79 for the metal mesh screen. They were on time and very efficient. They did the job in a good amount of time. They were clean and courteous as well. Their price was reasonable.

Received a call to schedule on a Sunday, just hours after I sent an email. They were here the very next day. They called me before coming, and even gave me the option to have them come early. Reasonably priced in my opinion, though I didn't shop around at all. Would definitely use again.

On time, professional, and found the issue that the dryer vent was no longer connected to the roof. So fixed that. Cleaned up well after chimeny sweeping and dryer vent cleaning.

They did a good job. We just had one chimney and it was a high one because it's a 2 story house. I don't remember how much they charged us. I think to me they were efficient. We just made one phone call and they came out. There was another person up on the roof and I don't remember what he was up on our roof for. They had to wear little shoes because of the plants so that they don't fall off. I don't remember if I had anything to do with him or not. I don't really remember all the details. The quality of the work was fine.

Overall the objective was met in a timely fashion. The rain gutters were unclogged and cleaned. There was no water at the house, so a muddy mess was left. A-1 Chimney staff promised to come out to the house once the water was on at the house and clean up the muddy mess; this promise impressed me and I appreciated their extra effort despite the handicapping - having the water turned off at the house. I would hire this company again (next time with the water on at the house, and not as an after thought).

Arranging the appointment was an easy phone call. The 2 young men that came to my home were professional and friendly. They were efficient, careful of my surrounding furniture and they cleaned up after themselves. To top off the experience, while we were outside conversing about the dryer vent we spied a very long snake slithering along in my back yard. Up to the challenge they were kind enough to remove it and drop it off in a nearby field, free of charge. I've referred them to others a few times already.
