Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning

They showed up on time. They were very professional and cleaned up well after their work.

He was on time, he looked presentable, friendly and knowledgeable. He cleaned up after himself.

He arrived promptly and introduced himself. He laid down a large tarp to protect the carpet. I appreciate Sully warning me that he was about to vacuum because my handicapped daughter was in the room. He was afraid the noise might scare her. He vacuumed thoroughly, and then used several types of brushes to clean the chimney. He then told me that nothing else needed to be done. and cleaned up the area and gave me a nice receipt and business card. He was cheery, pleasant and made friends with my daughter!

Brian showed up on time, had a great attitude throughout the inspection, took pictures of the trouble points, and explained all necessary repairs. Although this was just for an inspection during escrow, I will definitely contact Lucky Sully in the future for our chimney repair.

I would definitely use Lucky Sully again. When I first called Dan on a Sunday afternoon, he was very courteous and knowledgable. He was able to give me quotes on the services that I requested and they were pretty reasonable considering the amount of time it would take to complete them. I never felt pressured to hire him and he was also very accommodating when it came to scheduling the date and time to perform the services requested. When that day came, Brian showed up on time and was ready to work. He was very nice and personable. He went over the job to be completed with me and also gave me an accurate estimate on the amount of time it would take to compete everything, which I really appreciated since I had made another commitment afterwards. Brian was very thorough and he really made me feel comfortable in knowing that he knew what he was doing. And I liked the fact that he didn't try and rush the job at all. After all that was said and done, my air ducts really needed the cleaning and my dryer vent was pretty much stuffed with lint, which can explain why it took so long for my clothes to dry. I can honestly say that cleaning the dryer vent improved my dryer function and also not mention it took care of the safety issues involved with a clogged dryer vent. Brian also pointed out the type of dryer vent hose we had was flammable and that we should replaced it with another type, which we will. The stainless steel chimney cap looks great and I'm glad he was able to repair the crown. Brian did a great job and he cleaned up like he wasn't even there. Thank you Dan and Brian! Its work like this, is why I try and support local businesses. (I will also be calling in the future to have them install the "fire on ice" glass that I inquired about from their website).

Everything went very well. Dan sent his crewman out to measure the three caps, then gave us an estimate for both copper and galvanized steel. He recommended copper as the most durable for our location, but noted that one does not paint copper. So we ran the suggestion by our Homeowners Association president, who agreed that the copper would be more durable than painted steel. Dan had his crewman come out once again before placing the order to make sure he was ordering the right size ("measure twice, order once"). They came in within a week, and were installed soon after that. The caps look terrific and will look even better as they oxidize to match our rain gutters. They are exactly the same size and shape as the others, but look much better. Dan worked with us to move the project along to restore the appearance of the caps. He completed the work in a quality and timely fashion, and he maintained the project budget with no cost overruns. All of the houses in our community have chimney caps similar to ours, and our HOA President stopped by to complement the Lucky Sully installer on the finished work and to ask for contact information. I suspect we'll see other houses with similar caps in the future. We could not ask for better quality or service. We're very grateful to both Dan and Angie's List.

Called for service and Brian came out the same day. He arrived right on time and cleaned all 9 air ducts, then cleaned the chiminey. No complaints. Friendly and cleaned up all the mess. I will use this company again for my next service.

Everything went well with an old chimney that was likely not cleaned for a while. He found some cracks on the exterior, which he repaired and a crack in the fireplace too. He also installed a chimney cap and a new gas starter.

Brian arrived a few minutes early and was very friendly and professional. I explained to him my concerns about the draftiness as well as the seemingly long time it took for the gas to light. He got to work right away. He inspected and cleaned it. No structural issues, just needed a good cleaning. He then inspected the gas line going into the firebox and replaced the sand and lava rock and glowing embers as well as cleaned the gas logs themselves. He was very good about answering all my questions and explained several options to address the the draftiness without trying sell me on anything. Will definitely be using them again.

We are out of Town owners (SF Bay Area) of a single family home in Mission Viejo (Orange County, CA). Our Tenants complained that the fireplace was not venting properly when they burned a fire. We searched Angie's List for a local Chimney Sweep Service to inspect the Chimney and make necessary repairs. We contacted four local Chimney Sweep Services on Angie's List. Surprisingly, Lucky Sully's Chimney Sweep Service was the only one that contacted us back. They made prompt contact with our Tenant's. The day of the inspection, Dan sent us pictures of a damaged Chimney cap that had collapsed in due to corrosion and age. They removed the obstruction and ordered a new cap and spark arrestor which had to be custom made. One week later, the new cap and spark arrestor were in place. Dan sent us pictures of the completed job. The final price paid was under the original estimate given. Our Tenant's were very pleased to be able to use the fireplace again. Being out of town Owners, we have the confidence in Dan and Lucky Sullys Chimney Sweep Service to use them again. We would recomend this Company to others for an expeditious and professional experience.

They did a great job! The person who did the service was punctual, polite and hard working. He knew exactly what he was doing. I referred him to several friends after he finished the work for me.

He gave me an overall opinion on what needed to be done, estimated cost and was honest and upfront about me not needing the repair to use the fire place but should consider having it done somewhere down the road. I had every intention of setting up appointment but still haven't gotten to it. will inform once work has been done.

All events were as expected. However I had to change change my orignal service date and in the confusion the work was performed one day late.

Arrived on time and ready to work. Found chimneys didn't need cleaning (we were worried about birds in the chimneys). He cleaned the black carbon off of the gas logs. He also photographed our chimney top that showed cracks and fixed it with a guaranteed seal. He installed clamps to hold the dampers partly open per code. Did a neat and clean job. We were very pleased.

Fixed our fireplace quickly and was also helpful in teaching me how to fix minor things with it on my own in the future. Charged me very little considering how far away I live.

Though there was a scheduling conflict (probably my fault), Lucky Sully's came right out when I called them and did a great job. He protected the area surrounding the fireplace very well. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be using them again.

Michael was prompt and friendly. He did a thorough job of cleaning our chimney and was thoughtful about keeping his workspace covered and the surround areas clean. As well Michael gave recommendations for keeping our chimney in the best working condition. We would use his services again.

My excellent experience using Lucky Sully started with the first call asking about pricing and setting a date. I understood exactly what was going to be done, the cost and approximate time it would take. Michael arrived promptly, he has a great attitude, is very pleasant yet professional. He immediately made me feel comfortable and I trusted that he would do a great job. It was a simple process to clean the chimney, Michael also fixed the flue that wouldn't open (at no charge) then climbed on the roof to inspect the chimney. Thankfully no issues except a missing chimney cap which we decided to replace since the rain entering the chimney was causing the flue to get stuck. The entire process was over within 45 minutes, everything clean and the price I was quoted plus the cost of the chimney cap which was very reasonable. After using Lucky Sully I can guarantee they are the only chimney sweep company I will be using from now on.

There have been many vendors whom I've called and left voicemail messages for who never call me back. Lucky Sully was one of the few vendors who was extremely responsive even after several bouts of "telephone-tag" over the holidays. Their extensive work hours and days of availability were both a huge selling point for me. I work full-time and live alone so most jobs around the house need to be done on the weekend. One of Lucky Sully's technicians came on a Saturday morning ahead of schedule (he called to make sure I would be home.) Although cleaning chimney's can be pretty dirty, the technician laid out a huge tarp in my living room ensuring that everything stayed neat and clean. Job done was fast, efficient, detailed and comprehensive .... and left plenty of time for me ask questions. Will definitely use them again when my fireplace needs servicing again in ~5 years. The price for a standard chimney cleaning is $129. But I paid an additional $18 for a damper clamp that was missing and had it installed for me. I knew about the missing damper clamp when I bought the house, but never got around to fixing that until now.

I believe the name of my tech was Brian. Very friendly and professional. He was running a bit late due to traffic and the long drive from his previous job, but he did call to give me a heads up so I didn't mind the delay. He swept the chimney from inside the home and also went outside on a ladder to clean the top exterior portion. He kept the work site clean, offered tips, and answered questions I had.

They came out, they were quick and what I really liked was their honesty.

Went very well. Arrived early. Discovered chimney cap was cracked and broken, but spark arrester was OK. Had materials on hand to repair immediately as opposed to returning at a later date, which I appreciated very much.
