My conversation did not go well with Max who defended his practice of treating his customers like deadbeats by repeatedly asking customers whether they will actually pay for the service. Imagine going to a restaurant and three times between the time you place your order and you are served your appetizer, you are asked whether you are going to actually pay for the meal after it is served. Once, I understand. Twice feels squirrely and three time is just rude. It shouldn't matter that different people ask the question, it is still one small company that clearly distrusts its customers. At one point Max did offer an apology before he then rudely defended his practice and decided to cancel my appointment and hung up on me. I called back to speak with his boss and "magically", could not reach anyone higher than Max. Businesses who have contempt for their customers do not deserve good customers. I have called a better company, one who is treating me like the responsible adult I am and who has much better reviews than these guys. There are many good businesses out there who value and treat their customers like people and not deadbeats. Let's give those guys our business and let companies with poor service understand that we have other really good choices.

AC unit failed at 5:30pm Tues evening. Around the Clock AC was the only service that could come the next day.....let alone at 8am! With the anticipated 109 degree temps, we needed fast service. Eric showed up at 8am following a 7:15am reminder/check-in call. Eric was done repairing the compressor fan unit - failed capacitor and AC was back up and running before 9am.

I called them last minute and after every company I had tried said NO, this company came through and said YES! They came over within minutes and helped me with my broken AC on the hottest day of the year. Eric was professional, kind, quick and top notch! I will be using this company again and again and will refer them out. They saved us and with two small kids at home we couldn't be without air all night and into the next day! Thank you to Around the Clock for a job very well done!!!

They arrived at most an hour and a half after I called for the appointment on a Sunday. I was really impressed by how quickly they were able to get to my home. Their technician was extremely professional and was able to fix my leaking AC unit quickly and for a very reasonable price, while giving me great advice on how to prevent this kind of issue in the future. He even gave me a follow up call about an hour after he left just to make certain that everything was still running well. The experience couldn't have been better and I now have a new favorite AC repair company.

I called at 7:00 am when they open and spoke to Max to schedule repair my AC in my rental unit ($62.00 to come out which is applied to repair costs). He gave me a 9am-12pm window that same day. Got a call from Eric the technician reporting what was wrong (electrical short, filter needed replacing & coils needed cleaning) and estimate of $250. Both Max & Eric were professional and courteous.

When we called to make an appointment it took a couple of days for Al to get back to us but when he did he was apologetic and explained about how busy they were at the time. Soon after, Al came to look at our HVAC system and give us an estimate. He was courteous, took his time in the attic to make sure he saw everything going on and listened to my concerns. We had had at least three other companies come out before him to give us estimates for the the work and we felt very comfortable with his price. Two items that other companies offered that weren't in his proposal were addressed and he added them in at no additional cost. His team was prompt and professional and even asked if we wanted to join them for lunch when they came to do the installation! That stuck out because during all the remodeling my husband and I did on our home - it was usually the other way. They finished on time and now our AC system works great! It heats and cools much more efficiently and quietly than before. Another wonderful surprise was how well they cleaned up afterwards. Not one bit of insulation or old ducting was in our house, garden, driveway, etc. Almost like they'd never been there. And on top of it all, they sent us a tin of gourmet cookies afterwards to thank us for hiring them. Thank you Al & team for doing such a great job!

Everything went very well. I called for repair on Sunday morning and the service person, Alex, arrived exactly at the time scheduled that afternoon. He looked at the a/c unit and determined the problem. He then told me what part needed to be replaced (the capacitor) and explained exactly what function the part has. He even "drew" a picture in the air to demonstrate its role. The need for repair came during a heat wave, so I was happy to find a company that was available on Sunday with no emergency repair charge. The only reason I was hesitant to try them was because they had so few reviews on Angie'sList (but all positive), compared to other companies. I was having difficulty finding a company that was available on Sunday, so I gave them a try. They are absolutely wonderful and would use them again!

The work and pricing for the initial install were okay (not great, but reasonable). Then, after the install, we asked them to come back to move one of our heater vents approximately 12 inches. They said they could do it for $380. This seemed extreme. It was as though the owner was unwilling to do this small job unless he could make a meaningful profit. Our view is that this should have been seen as more of a courtesy, in an effort to nurture and build an ongoing relationship, rather than an opportunity to gouge us. I explained we will likely soon be in the market for adding A/C to our heating system and Al, the owner, said that didn't matter to him -- he would not lower the price. His approach seems short-sighted, and transactional in nature, rather than a good-faith effort to build a long-term dependable relationship with a customer.

We have a 3800 sq. ft. house with high ceilings and two 4K units on the roof, one for each floor. In May the upstairs unit was not blowing or cooling properly and we called a company we'd used in the past. The technician pulled out some sound insulation which had fallen over the blower, said the unit seemed fine otherwise, but that he wasn't sure about a slight restriction and whether the unit might need a new TXV. He suggested to wait and see how the unit worked, and, in case it didn't work well, the company sent out a $1400 proposal to replace the TXV and do related work. Two weeks ago, on a hot day, the unit stopped working again, and $1400 seemed like a lot to spend on such a vague suggestion. I couldn't find anything about the company on Angie's List and very mixed reviews on Yelp, so we decided to make a fresh start with a different company highly recommended on Angie's List, Around the Clock. A couple of hours after I called ATC, Art, who was working in our area, came by and checked the unit. It wasn't a hot day, the blowers were working, and Art said everything seemed to be working fine, but he suggested calling on a hot day when/if it wasn't working. The heat wave came, the unit stopped blowing or cooling, and Art came out the next day with his colleague Sergei. They checked the upstairs and downstairs units and took photos. The upstairs was blocked in ice, and the downstairs, though working, showed water pooling around it. From the size of the intake vents, they diagnosed that the problem was caused by the unit(s) not taking in enough air, which traced to problems with the construction of the house. This matched with our sense that the upstairs unit had underperformed since we'd moved in in 2005, three years after the house was built. Art and Sergei thought but weren't sure that the problem could be helped by installing fresh air filters on each unit, so that more air could get in. They had to order these parts but Art came back two days later, and the ACs have worked fine for the week or so since, through temperatures up to 90F. We're keeping our fingers crossed, but we would say at this point that Around the Clock is top notch not only in performance and professionalism but in communicating with customers. Art also deducted the cost of our original service call from the cost of installing the air filters and didn't charge for the visit with Sergei.

I've had a very good experience with Around The Clock. They're very nice. They came out and serviced it and did a really good job. I've used them twice. The price was very reasonable. The one time, my air conditioner wasn't working and he came out. Somebody else could have said "you need a whole air conditioning" and he said "oh, your fan's off balance" and fixed it and charged me like $25 for a service call. It went really well.

We were referred by Andy, the friendly Lennox rep at Costco in Van Nuys. He set up an appointment with Michael Friedman almost immediately, which was nice because our old system had completely stopped working. Michael made a very clear presentation and helped us choose the options that were important to us. It was largely his consultation that made us choose Around the Clock over two competing bidders. The installation itself went very smoothly. The crew was very skilled and polite and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. The new system works beautifully and passed city inspection a week ago. When we had a small problem, Alex came right out and solved it. The company also took care of the paperwork involved in applying for the various rebates. We would definitely recommend Around the Clock to anyone who wanted a solid installation of quality components.

Igor was the repairman, very personable. Told me exactly what was wrong and how much it would cost. Explained everything after checking the whole unit. I agreed on the price, he went to his truck, got the parts, installled them and was gone in an hour and a half. God bless Igor, it was only the 2 hottest days of the year!! Nothing worse than having no air on 100 degree days! Worth every penny

This was a first class experience. Beginning with the initial contact by Michael Friedman, I really could not have asked for more than I received from Around the Clock (ATC). ATC surpassed my expectations. It was a remarkable performance. This was a challenging project as it involved a complete replacement of the existing system, including relocating the furnace to the attic and the condenser to the roof in a sixty-year old house. Early on in the planning, I realized that I needed to do some asbestos abatement of duct boots and to also remove all the old blown-in insulation. Mr. Friedman recommended AQHI for this work and they were very good. Then there were all kinds of decisions including which equipment to have installed (including size of condenser) and where it would be located, placement of new registers, type of air filter, and location of new attic opening. The planning process took several months, during which Mr. Friedman, with great patience, provided several revised estimates while the project evolved. Al Uchitel, manager and engineer of Around the Clock, came to the house once before the installation and provided very helpful guidance. Then he came twice during the installation, and once afterward for system adjustment, all included in the price. He is an expert on HVAC installations. The installation crew was also excellent over the two-day installation. Here are some features of my system that you may want to include in yours: 1) Lennox Signature equipment. It has the ten-year warranty, two-stage and/or variable stage, and adjustable air flow controls; 2) Merv #16 air filter for clean air; 3) R8 ducts (consider Hart & Cooley silver jacketed); 4) Manual dampers on ducts for air balancing; and 5) Large air intake for quiet system. Above all, take your time and do careful planning and research. The new system feels great and is well worth the investment.

The technician seemed less than interested in the job. Our system is not keeping up with the heat anymore and water is pooling up on our roof. He checked the freon and said it was to spec and didn't see anything wrong. $65. We were hoping that someone could give us just a bit more attention and help us figure out how to solve the water issue. Instead - what we got was a quick gauge check - see ya later.

Our 5 ton AC unit stopped blowing cool air. He came out on the same day I called. He had the parts needed and was here only 35 min. Repaired the unit and now its cool.

well our AC was working great then all of sudden it stopped working call these guys up to help out with it fixed it real fast and now the AC is back on track. Great job now we don't have to suffer through the heat thank goodness.

The air conditioning in our house was coming out warm - called Around the Clock last Saturday around noon, and they had someone out within two hours - Alex, the service rep was able to figure out the problem and fix it in around 45 minutes, explaining to me everything he was doing - Once the part was replaced, the air was back on and running very cool - Alex was great, and we were VERY pleased with the service.

the A/C wasn't working and since it's summer we needed it to give us cool air they came by on time and found the problem fast and fixed it. Now it's in good condition blowing cool air giving us that cold house for the summer.

Technician was professional, explained what was wrong and showed me how it needed to be fixed (tilt the PVC pipe). Also answered all my accessory questions without ever hinting at being impatient or in a hurry. It was Friday afternoon so I am sure he would want to beat traffic back. Very satisfied with service.

They scheduled me for service right away, with a 2 hour window starting 70 minutes after I called. The technician arrived exactly on time, and was done in 20 minutes. He inspected filters and suggested what I should do for basic maintenance, without any sales pitch. Cost for replacing just a capacitor was a bit high, but seems fair given how remarkably quickly they responded and fixed the problem and how helpful and friendly the technician was.

To cut to the chase, the installation went very smoothly. Al and his team turned up on time in the morning, efficiently took out the old furnace, cleaned up the furnace closet and then prepared that space for the installation of the new super high-efficiency furnace. They also installed a super high-efficiency 5-ton air-conditioning condenser unit on another part of the property and connected this to the blower and furnace inside our house, so that both cool and warm air could be directed into the existing ducting located under the house. Al and his team worked non-stop all day. I wasn't sure they were going to finish by the end of the day, but they did. Al then proceeded to explain how the iPad-looking control panel worked - all very intuitive and elegant. My wife and I had waited nearly two years before pulling the trigger on this project, for fear it was going to be a painful experience. Let me assure you, it wasn't with Around the Clock Heating and Air-Conditioning. They were amazing - punctual, courteous, efficient and CLEAN! After all the work done on the day, there were NO tell-tale signs of the workers' presence. Everything was cleaned up and completely in place. It was as if they'd waved a magic wand, all the new heating and air-conditioning machinery appeared, and they then vanished. It was a real credit to Al and his team. But let's not forget Mike Campbell in this review, the sales rep, who had to deal with a very skeptical prospective customer (i.e., the writer) at the first meeting. Mike did what any good salesman does - assure the customer that things will go smoothly. However, haven't we all heard that before, only to find that the installation experience is anything but that? Well, not with Mike. He was right - things DID go smoothly and it's a credit to him that he kept his cool in the face of my obvious doubts (following less than wonderful experiences on a number of other prior building and installation projects). Additionally, Mike chased the business - in a measured, composed and friendly way. Why can't more sales folk be like that? Bottom line: if you have air-conditioning and/or heating needs, go to Mike, Al and Around the Clock Heating and Air-Conditioning.

Michael Campbell came out and figured out the best place to install the main air vent and also the amount of power of the furnace we would need to heat our house. The workmen were efficient and very professional and did a great job. We were very pleased with the quality of the service. We recommended them to our son who also used them for a rooftop heater and air conditioner and he was very pleased with the outcome. When there was a small problem they came out immediately to fix it.

Originally contacted Around the Clock to repair a failed A/C compressor. That work was done promptly and at a good price. We were so impressed that we called them back to do additional work. Our unit needed an additional return to be more efficient, and our original 1950s aluminum ductwork needed to be replaced to reduce noise. Around the Clock did a great job again. The work was performed as promised, on time and by techs who were extremely careful and clean. We have contracted the company for regular checkups and would recommend them highly.

They came out at 8:00 pm on the hottest day of the year so far. My AC was making a weird noise, and the house was heating up fast. I knew my unit was old, but they confirmed it needed to be replaced. I was very concerned how long it would take as i have a toddler, and a large house to cool. They showed up the next morning at 8:00 am and replaced the unit quickly and easily. I think the price was very fair and the service was excellent. Also removed the old unit.

I have had very good luck with this provider. They have been prompt, courteous and reliable. Twice a year, they call me and remind me I need a service (Free for the first 2 years). At the latest service call I needed a filter. The technician let me know that if I got one myself (at lower cost and not from them) they would be glad to put it in as part of their regular service.
