Description of Work: Sterling reupholstered a living room chair. The wood was also in need of refinishing. I chose to do the word refinishing myself and Sterling were very accommodating in this. They took the chair and stripped it which I was glad to have them do since the original upholstery used tacks. I picked the chair up, refinished the wood and returned it to Sterling where they completed the reupholstery. I chose to not use tacks again and at their suggestion used folding instead of sewing for certain parts of the work. The results are wonderful. |It was pricey but the work is excellent and I have no problem paying a premium for excellence.

Description of Work: We engaged Sterling Custom Upholstery to redo a rather unusual sofa. They responded quickly, gave a reasonable quote, and did a superb job on our schedule. We give them the maximum number of stars.

Description of Work: The upholstery on my husband's favorite chair from which he does all his work, was held together with duct tape. He'd have a hard time giving it up, so we took the opportunity of a time when he'd be away, to have it reupholstered. The chair (Danish Modern), a matching footstool and a head pillow were all recovered in smooth, black, matte vinyl. The company picked up the furniture that day before my husband left town, and returned it the day after he returned.(no extra charge for pick-up and delivery) It look's great --- just like it did before, but without the duct tape. The stitching on the straps of the head-pillow is a little uneven, but over-all, they did a great job.

Description of Work: I did not put an amount in the box because we had several projects. I had eight chairs and a love seat covered, different fabrics. I called them, they picked up the furniture, I went to the store and chose fabrics, they did the work and delivered them. They were extremely helpful in selecting fabrics. Picked up and delivered everything. Love seat is an antique, they did a beautiful job, even better than what was on it before. They've been in business a long time. They do wonderful work.

Description of Work: They replaced 3 of our old couch back pillows with new stuffing that had interior foam. Firmer but still cushy and soft.
