They wanted to do a really big job for us and we kind of felt like he was just trying to talk us into it. We just didn't feel really comfortable with him. He said that it was under warranty because it wasn't very many years ago that we bought this new unit, but that we would just have to pay for the labor. I said it was good, and he said it's $1200. It shocked me. It was just so much. It was like he was giving me good news that it was under warranty, but I just felt really comfortable when he told me to just pay $1200 for the labor. He said we could try to spray the stop leak on it and I said okay so he came the next day. He said he is not sure if the Stop Leak is going to work or not because it is brand new and he has never used it before. I said usually if something is brand new, it is because it is new and improved. He sprayed and I think he said he is going to check back in 30 days or something like that. I don't think I will call them again. There was a PVC pipe that was sticking up and he put a cover over, and he thought that it should be covered. A couple of minutes later, we got really hot weather and we had to use our A/C unit and I heard something dripping, and so I opened up where we keep the air conditioning unit and it was soaking wet in there. Because he put foil over that PVC pipe that the condensation made it soaking wet in that unit inside our hallway. My husband said that little PVC pipe should have been kept open, but the man put foil over and closed it. We were about to call somebody to come out, but we thought we would just remove the foil from that PVC pipe, and sure enough it dried out and there was no damage. I thought if he worked in that unit in other people's, he would know that it is supposed to be open to relieve the condensation. The reason why we went with Bell Brothers was because we listen to this radio station in the morning Armstrong and Getty, and they kept recommending Bell Brothers. I thought the price was kind of high. He kept trying to push that we should buy something new.

All contacts (were by phone and) were very pleasant. I made an appointment to get a SMUD HPP assessment and quote on a minor upgrade. Company called less than 24 hours before appointment, explained they had a lot of installations planned, and asked me to reschedule. I felt it was poor form to break an existing commitment (on short notice) in order to make a buck sooner. I did not reschedule.

they came out to do a summer tune up of our air condition unit that is 32+ years old. We purchased the home two years ago and I don't think the previous owners had ever cleaned the system. There was an issue with the system kicking on after we adjusted the temperature up to turn it off and he told me that was an electrical issue that he could not fix, They noted that our system was very old and that the manufacturer (GE) was no longer building these systems and that in order to get it to work properly we needed to do a full cleaning of the furnace and air condition system for $600 plus, and there would be no guarantee that the system would continue to run after that. I told him I didn't want to put that much money into a system that might not run after cleaning it. He recommended we talk to a representative about replacing the system with a brand new one. We made the appointment and then got a second opinion. In the end we used someone else to clean the system for $400 (and the electrical issue was not an electrical issue it was because there was a blanket of dog hair and dirt that was completely covering the coils of the furnace preventing the system from running properly, which Bell Bros technician did show me with his camera) and were told we did not need to replace the system that it would last another 35 years if we just kept up on the maintenance. Bell Bros recommended we replace it at a cost of about $12,000. They are very professional, courteous and were on time. My experience was positive and I have no problem with the service provided. I'm not sure if I would use them again and not because I was unhappy with their service, only because I did get the second opinion and am happy with that providers service.

I contacted Bell Brothers on Saturday May 24, 2014 because our air conditioning unit would come on, but no cool air was coming out. I was surprised to learn that representatives were still scheduling repair services after 6pm, when they normally close at 6pm. Despite a very busy holiday week-end they were able to get me in on Monday morning. The technician arrived ahead of time, diagnosed the problem, and was able to fix the air conditioning right then. I am very grateful to Bell Brothers for fixing out our problem quickly and professionally.

Everything is good. They schedule it, and they come out when they say they will. We don’t have to wait for hours and hours. They go through the whole thing, and they even clean out the filter.

They were professional and provided great service.

Bell Bros leaves big shoes to fill for any home repair service. I interviewed three providers, and in the end went with Bell Bros because of their guarantees. But now, I can confidently recommend them from personal experience, including: * Arrived exactly when they promised, at 7:05 each morning of the project * Laid out drop clothes across all traffic areas, and vacuumed at the end of each day * Communicated clearly about what they were doing, when they were leaving, new holes they were drilling, how to use the equipment, etc. * Worked extremely quietly, I hardly knew they were there (and I work from home) * Handled a problem with professionalism, offering a solution that exceeded my expectations More about a problem solved: I opted to go with a top-of-the-line Trane system with SEER 16 rating. It was an added expense, but after doing my homework and hearing the salesperson, I wanted the most efficient, quietest unit on the market. My very large home (3800sq ft) sits on a very small lot and since the A/C unit is smack-dab in the middle of my patio, I wanted the quietest unit. However, when it arrived, it literally was the size of a refrigerator. I was shocked and horrified. My small patio could not afford having a refrigerator sitting on it. When I explained my surprise, the "No Surprise Guys" same up with a solution to relocate my A/C unit to the side of my property - totally out of the way and giving me back some precious square footage on my patio. They were forced to lay dozens of feet of new piping and electrical wiring, and did it with zero attitude and at no additional expense. Final thoughts: Shortly after my HVAC process, I had a solar electrical system installed and it wasn't until dealing with them that I fully realized how great the Bell Bros team was. After the friendly, helpful salesman leaves, you're stuck with the installation team. Having a company with strong values that trickle from the top down can really influence the whole experience. I hopefully won't need to see the Bell Bros team for another decade, but gladly will recommend them to others.

They did an abosuley outstanding job on the installation. They are high priced though. I figured if you're spending a lot of money on a house, you probably should be willing to spend a little extra money to get something like a heating and a/c to get installed. I wanted to know that I was going to get an absolutely quality installation.

Office people were professional, courteous and proactive in scheduling a technician, told me the up-front price for diagnostics with my VIP contract discount, called ahead to remind me of the time frame, and called again when the technician was on his way to my house. Ian Hutton, my tech, was on time, clean, and wore the booties over his shoes to protect my carpet and got straight to work. Was here for an hour and a half, checked the entire system to evaluate before fixing the issue. To get at all the equipment he even pruned a vine that has tripled in size since the March rains. Including the basic diagnostic price, the total was less than $100. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional, as all the Bell Bros. techs have been since I signed up with their service 3 or 4 years ago. They are reliable, and I trust them to do whatever is needed in a timely manner by professional and courteous employees from the office staff to the techs. What a relief to find out I had a problem and got it repaired before it really gets hot! I recommend Bell Bros. for heating and AC service to everyone I know. It's a good deal to go with their VIP service contract. They schedule 2 maintenance appointments each year and if you have a problem, as I did this week, your appointment time and date receive preference, within 24 hours if I remember correctly. You receive discounts on pricing for parts and service also which came in very handy for me today.

They are very thorough and don't try to sell me on things we don't necessarily need.

They take down my filter and clean them. They are just awesome. I have a maintenance agreement with them that I pay $12.95 per month. I have been with them for about 3 years now. The technicians seem to be very professional, and knowledgeable about what they are doing. They also tell me what they are doing and give me and idea of what is going on. They keep me well informed.

They were excellent. I'd give them A's across the board. They have been out here 6 or 7 times and the people they have out are high quality people. They are very comfortable to be around. I would definitely recommend them without a doubt.

I called at 10am, and within eight minutes Alec gave me an appt window same day (3pm-7pm) for a tech to come out. Dispatcher called at 3:40pm to say tech was on the way, and Greg arrived at 3:50. By 4:45 he had unblocked the vent, which had been damaged, cleaned the flame sensor, and billed me for the regular diagnostic fee. He also explained why the blocked vent could cause the furnace to shut off because of overheating, and how to read the thermostat to ensure it was not part of the problem. Now the furnace is running consistently and we have heat in all rooms! Greg was professional, thorough, covered his shoes, cleaned up afterward, explained everything, and took credit card for payment. Couldn't have been better! Overall an excellent experience.

It went very well. My furnance was just blowing air and it was not warm. The technician located the source of the problem. The gas switch was in the off position. This happen when another company (self-employed: A-1 Heating and Air, serviced my HVAC unit in July) did not return the switch to the "on" position as he original found it. I presented the Bell Brothers Service Technician with a coupon I had printed out but expired. It expired by approximately 2 weeks. Bell Brothers honored this coupon and it saved me money:$20.00. Thank you! As a single woman head-of-household, trust and integrity mean everything; especially when it concerns an area of little personal knowledge. Plus, I need to save all the money I possibly can. I thank you! Thank you.

The technician was pleasant and provided good information on the thermostat, compressor, and permanent filters. I purchased a second permanent filter for the other of the two returns in my home at a (very high) cost of $125.00. He did not check refrigerant level at the compressor, nor did I see him take any other measurements (voltage, amperage, etc.). My system is only a little over one year old (installed by Bell Brothers), so I just watched without asking why other tests weren't performed. This inspection was paid for in the original contract I have with the purchase of the system.

The service was adequate and professional. However, the initial installation of the unit had some problems with wiring that was spliced and should have been replaced, especialy when installing a new unit.

The work went smoothly. The units were installed according to plan and they are both working. The only negative about the experience was getting a response from the sales rep when we had questions about the scheduling or about the billing. There were some coordination problems between Bell Brothers staff and the scheduler for the subcontractor who installed the attic insulation. We also did not receive copies of all the paperwork we needed to get county approval for the installation; paperwork described one of the HVAC units but not the second. The scheduling and paperwork issues were an annoyance.

The new home I purchased had a problem, a year old, closet mounted A/C unit which sounded like 747 taking off. I contacted Bell Bros and scheduled the appointment. The service tech they sent out was extremely professional and listened to the issue I had. He inspected the unit and agreed with me that the noise from the blower was unbearable. He provided me with several different solutions and what to expect from each one, regarding cost, noise level reduction and changes to the homes structure. He asked if it was okay to return with his manager, just to make sure the solutions he came up with were the best ones. It was nice that they were willing to return with a manager for a second opinion. A few days later the manager came to my home and agreed with the solutions the tech had suggested. The service appointment was scheduled and the workers arrived on time. They made sure the area was protected and were very professional. No cursing or discussing women. They worked very hard and due to a miscommunication, that I can't blame them for, a change needed to be made to the duct size. They did not gripe or complain when I pointed out the issue and said that they completely understood. They asked if they could finish the job the following day since they needed to bring back a different size ducting. It was nice that even with them needing to return, they were able to come back the next day as opposed to making me wait several weeks for another appointment. The job was completed and I could not be more pleased with the reduction in noise. No more turning up the TV or having to yell whenever it kicks on now. The new air returns look very sharp as well. Job well done.

Bell Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning spent a lot of time here, but they never got back to me for an official estimate. Maybe they found it too difficult to do, because I didn't have adequate attic space. I don't know. But I didn't hear from them. The people who came out were pleasant and seemed to be enthusiastic and wanted to help.

The unit was delivered on Friday The installers came on time and removed of old unit Prepared area for new unit. Removed an replaced all bad ducting, replaced old thermostat and added required smoke alarm to every bedroom at no charge. The crane was late getting here ( not part of Bell Bros. contracted out ) Removed Old unit from roof. Then placed new unit in place, but no! The new unit was forklift damaged under the unit ( unable to see till lifted up by crane). Were unable to replace unit on this day none in area but could have one delivered next morning a.m.(Sunday) and reschedule crane who was here early on Sunday. Lifted the newest unit up and installed. Removed damaged unit. Check all systems, explained new thermostat and paperwork that came with it. Then scheduled a Calif. state required air pressure test. Which we passed above all levels. Mailed all final papers and Guarantees. Then we had to schedule a time with the city building inspector. Which we PASSED with flying colors. PS: The city inspector also had her A/C put in by BELL BROTHERS.

They have a very affordable maintenance plan that you can purchase and they will come out every year and service your air conditioner and heating unit. It makes it easy for me to have a maintenance plan that I just pay a monthly payment to rather than have to come up with the full amount of a service check at one time. They have knowledgeable and friendly staff. They are punctual. It's easy to make an appointment at my convenience for them to come out and service my equipment. I've been very pleased with the workman that has come out. I have always been pleased with their customer service to me and the work that they did. They've been wonderful. I don't have any complaints with them.

Our furnace had been giving us problems and we knew we needed to replace, but had tried to just get by with some basic repairs. When it finally quit working the guys at Bell brothers loaned us some space heaters free of charge while we waited for delivery and install of the new unit. Our baby was 5 months old at the time and this was a greatly appreciated gesture. The install itself went great, and we have no complaints about the unit. A few months later, our air conditioner quit working and when we called them out it turned out to be a faulty kill switch installed at the time of the furnace installation. They had our air conditioner back working same day free of charge, and installed a better switch a few weeks later, also free of charge. We have used them since for the routine maintenance package that they offer, and have no complaints. When our air conditioner also finally dies, I'm sure we'll be calling them back out!

the company from the time the call was placed to the completion of the work was very friendly and professional. The service technician was extremely knowledgeable in the working functions of the unit and took the time to explain what he found to be the problem and what needed to be done to fix it. He was able to get the unit functioning again so we could make it through these next few extremely hot days and make a decision on making more repairs to the existing unit or to replace the entire unit with a new more efficient one, since this one is not providing the quality output. I will certainly use Bell Brothers again for future service and will consider hiring them to replace the entire system if that is what we need to do. When I placed the service call they gave me a window of 1 to 5 pm and called me with in 45 minutes of the service call to say someone was on the way that put them here at approximatly 12:45. The service was prompt, friendly, cost appropriate, knowledgable, and very professional. I would certainaly recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I called Bell Brothers to schedule a service for my A/C. The service department was very helpful in scheduling me an appointment and explaing all of the service fees that would or could be involved. After a few hours the service department called me back and got me an eariler appointment. The following day the service department called me at 0930 to ask if it was okay if my technician could come out. I told them yes since my appointment window was from 1000-1600. My technician Brad showed up at 1003 he was very friendly and went right to work after I explained the problem. Brad found the problem and had it fixed within minutes. Thankfully because it was getting very hot outside. Brad also noticed that my unit (15 years old) was working extremly h****** start up so he suggested a part that could increase the longevity of my unit. He put both of them in even with me asking him a ton of questions. The price was no terrible for all of the work and the inital service fee was $79.95 but I did sign up for the elite service so the next time they come out I will not be charged a service fee. I will be using Bell Brothers again because they offer two free cleaning with the elite service.
