The guy we had out worked hard all day long. It took him a long time and we had a big list. He focused, stayed on task, and completed *almost everything we asked him to do. We will call again and see if the group can come back out and finish one of the jobs we had asked him to do. Besides forgetting one small job, they were also 30 minutes late to our 8-10am window. Not a huge deal since he was here all day with us, but with an 8-10 window I was told we'd be the first call of the day so waiting around was less than perfect. All that said, I'm sure that upon calling them they will come out to finish the last job (1 of 5 total tasks). We'll hire again!

We have almost 80 year old house that needs lots of help! We needed to have a door taken out so that we could have our old stove replaced w a new gas stove. PG&E were out because we smelled gas. PG & E said “something is wrong w our gas line”. One handyman said we needed to replace the line from the meter to the stove. When the handyman didn’t call or show, I called you guys. Felix came to try to help us figure out what we needed to do. What a great problem solver Felix is!!! He ruled out the need to replace the line. ...and ferreted out that it’s probably the stove that is the problem. Felix took lots of time to evaluate the situation. He communicated well with us while trying to solve our problem and figure out what we needed to do. Well have him back soon to help w a plumbing problem!

Service Techs (Anton & Forest) performed an excellent leak diagnostic and repair job but Discount Plumbing cost was a lot more expensive than anticipated.

The service pro showed up on time and completed the job in a very timely manner and did not tie up my day .

Called Discount Plumbing, Heating & Air to locate & fix our hot water slab leak. A senior tech was sent. First he couldn't pin point where the leak was. He had us tested where on the floor was a hot spot by leaving the hot water line on for the weekend (so money is being wasted here, you can imagine my water bill and PG&E at this point). He did not use a slab leak detector. He had to come back another day. When he came back on day 2, we told him which floor had the hot spot. He opened up our laundry wall put 3 holes to possibly determine which pipe. Cut and capped the pipe that goes to our kitchen and bathroom upstairs. He isolated where the leak is. He suggested to do a re-pipe outside to connect from the kitchen outside along around the house to connect to the water heater in the garage to get hot water. Since he is the plumber, I didn't know anything about plumbing, I trusted what he suggested and quoted me a price for the whole project. I thought it was a lot of money for re-pipe but what do I know. He thought he was doing us a favor by saving us money by not going through the floor and tearing it up. He finished the job. I questioned him a couple of things why he used plastic/silicone pipes, he said they are better than copper pipes; they last 10-20 years. Also, why no hot water in our upstairs bathroom sink. He said that there must be two lines going upstairs, one for the sink and one for the tub. The tub is connected to the kitchen downstairs, it has hot water. He recommended to re-pipe upstairs and charge me another $2200 or use portable mini hot water tank which would be cheaper than re-pipe. The foam insulation he used outside was not properly sealed and secured, not enough brackets to hold the pipes and he used plastic pvc pxl not uv rated pipes. If you could only see the pictures I have taken. To me his work was sloppy, he cut corners and charged way over to get kickbacks. Not even a week, pipes were sagging down, foams were falling off on the ground. Called Discount back told them the issue, left messages for owner to call back, no call back waited the weekend and called & left messages on Monday. Owner finally called me back and he promised to make it right and sent their manager to redo and put the correct pipes. His manager did but still hot water issue in the bathroom sink was not resolved. He suggested to re-pipe as well. I asked him to come back to install mini hot water tank I bought of course for another charge about $599 parts & labor. I did not agree and called a second opinion from another plumbing company based here in Tracy. But because we did not have a proper plug in the bathroom, an electrician would need to be called. We did and would cost us $2500 to get a plug to have the water heater plug under the sink. At this point, I had enough all because the hot water pipe was not properly identified and fixed. Dissatisfied customer.

Jorge was very professional and nice. He did a great job! He repaired three things: outside leaking copper pipe, a toilet fill valve, and an electronic sprinkler control replacement (pipe had to be cut). I definitely recommend him.
