Haines & Cross provided thorough and careful cleaning, including moving all furniture, and left carpets and rugs bright and looking like new. The owner Eric was very knowlegeable about rugs (and wood and tile flooring as well), took time to educate us, and took personal responsibility for the job. HIs crew worked incredibly hard and stayed till done even when the job turned out to be larger than expected. Six weeks later, the carpets still look (and feel) wonderful. He completely restored one rug with water damage and probably some mildew, as well as one that was heavily pet soiled. Eric told us at the beginning that certain pet stains would not come out -- he was correct, but he was also upfront about it. He and his team kept us informed throughout of even minor scheduling changes. When there was one minor problem, he came out and fixed it immediately. A word of advice to others -- doing your whole house at the same time is almost as bad as moving. We'll do it in smaller chunks next time, but we will certainly use Haines & Cross.

This company is wonderful. Eric is the owner and he comes out beforehand and gives you the pricing. He can answer any and all questions. He is very easy to work with. They are not the run of the mill carpet cleaning company. He was punctual and knew his business. He gives background on the different materials and what it takes to clean them effectively.

On time professional service. Very courteous & fast. Excellent value for the dollar. Can't even think of one area of improvement.

..Jose arrived at the specified time and immediately set out to measure the area, assuring us that the price we paid was all-inclusive.He immediately set to work pretreating the soiled areas and cleaning the assigned areas. He was informative, pleasant, andpaid close attention to any problem areas. He took about two hours to complete the task, but it was well worth it. The carpetinglooks brand new and we feel Jose did an excellent job. When we need the carpet done again, I will ask for Jose.

We needed the carpet in our new home "de-doggified" from the previous occupants, but we only had a couple of days to work with before the furniture was due to arrive. Everyone was very accommodating of the short notice and worked us into the schedule (it helped that there were only about 3 rooms with carpet, so the square footage to clean wasn't huge). They were also fine with me leaving a key hidden for them so I didn't need to be there to let them in, which was very helpful. The carpets look great and smell much better than before, although I think it's going to take a few weeks of us living there to air it out completely. Overall a good experience (and their Big Deal coupon certainly helped!).

Based on the reviews on Angie's List, we purchased a Big Deal coupon to have our porcelain tile floors cleaned for$149.00 (up to 250 sq. ft.). We scheduled an appointment to have the porcelain floors in our entry hall, kitchen and 2 bathrooms cleaned and sealed.Mario and Robert arrived on time and thoroughly explained what they were going to be doing. They did a great job and the floors look terrific. Mario and Robert were very courteous and professional. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of service.

Eric was supposed to come out for a quote Friday morning and never showed up. I called the office and there was a scheduling error, meaning it was never on the schedule. Eric did come out in the afternoon. I went ahead with the carpet cleaning on Monday at 830 and guess what. They were late again. There was another scheduling error. Sal did show up by 930 and he was great. I I would use this company again because of Sal. They really need someone else to do the scheduling.

They did and excellent job. They are very professional and prompt. I would highly recommend them. They were also very respectful of my home and property.

I probably just caught these guys on a bad day, but my experience trying to get someone out for a quote was not a good one. I called Monday to book someone to come out ASAP to give me a quote to clean our carpets. I spoke with a receptionist who said 'Eric' would be by sometime between 2:30-3PM the next day. Just like most people, my schedule is really tight and while I carved 2:30-3PM out to meet with Eric and get a quote, that was the only time I had available to meet. When 2:55 rolled around and no Eric, I called the Haines and Cross office to get an ETA on his arrival (I do understand that things happen and sometimes an unforeseeable circumstance will cause delays). The receptionist (a different one on Tuesday) said 'oh yes, he should be on his way. Give him a call on his cell phone to find out when he will arrive'. OK - I was a little put off that she asked me to call him, but fair enough - it is faster that way. Well, when I called Eric on his cell, he did answer, but when I said, 'we had an appointment for you to come by and give me an estimate between 2:30 and 3PM' his response was 'we did'? Talk about a put off after waiting for him to arrive - to find out if I had not called, no one would have ever showed up or called me - like I never even made the appointment. To make a long story short, I was going to give them another chance to reschedule, but when I called the office back to book something, the receptionist took my request, but then said she'd have to talk to Eric to confirm and then get back to me. When that confirmation call didn't come in the next hour, I went to a competitor and booked service with which I am VERY happy. So, it ended up working out for me that Haines and Cross flaked out, but if you're looking for a quick response and little confusion when trying to book your carpet cleaners, these guys may not be for you.

Excellent they arrived on time, carpets & upholstery looked great after they were done.

they sent sal who was a excellent service person explaining each step and doing a excellent job. he was on time, polite, dressed nicely and you could see the pride in his workmanship .yes i would have h/c for service again as long as they send sal. :)

Somehow one at our dogs found a capsule that was filled with tapioca sized height arrange pebbles. The stain was not changed by any at the cleaning products we had a hand. Earle got it quickly- almost a miracle.

I was very happy with them and I've used them 4 times. It is a little bit expensive, they don't use any chemicals, but, they use hot water.

They were very good. I have white carpeting, so their employees laid down runners to walk on. They were very conscious about keeping my home clean. All of my grout was cleaned thoroughly, so I’m very pleased with their work. I didn’t realize my grout could be white; I’ve always just assumed it was a shade of gray. I did have remove a very light waxy film from the tiles with a terry cloth towel after they left, so that’s something they could improve on in the future.

Everything went well. They were very conscientious and professional. I think they did good work, and I would use their service again if another discount or coupon presented itself.

there was a grout cleaning and sealing special offered by Angie's List. I signed up for that and had them clean and seal my entire floor (which is about 600 sq feet) for an extra fee. I was VERY pleased with the results and plan to use them in the future.

We have an ill, elderly cat that used our oriental rug as a litterbox when we weren't looking. She also vomited on the rug several times. I feared the rug was ruined but, as a last ditch effort, found local Haines & Cross on Angie's List and took the rug to them. After a few short weeks I picked up the cleaned rug, brought it home, but didn't unroll it for a couple of weeks until after the holidays (we won't put it on the floor again while the elderly cat is still alive.) The rug was beautifully clean -- except for one small. dark area that I feared might be mildew. (The rug had been rolled up in plastic.) I called Haines & Cross and they immediately offered to come pick up the rug to check it out. In the end, the spot was NOT mildew but a pet stain that could not be completely removed. I truly thought this rug was beyond salvaging but Haines & Cross worked their magic on all but that one stubborn spot. When our elderly kitty moves on to that big litterbox in the sky, we will again unroll this beautiful rug. The remaining dark spot will easily tuck beneith a furnitire edge. I'm very grateful to Haines & Cross for attempting such a formidable task and returning an almost perfect rug to me. I will definitely call them in the future for all of our rug cleaning needs.

My experience with them was fabulous. Including their coupon, I spent about $500 on them. They were offering jobs for a said amount of money because there was a special. I had them do more work than that. I used them because there was a special. I had more tile than they had offered the special for. I cannot comment on whether their price was good or bad. My floor was 14 years old. Once they were done, it looked brand new. It was just shocking. I would absolutely use them again.

They were great. They did what they were supposed to do. Nothing stood out. I will use them again.

We had a friend recommend them to us. They told us one price then when they were finished it was a higher price for the services.

The service rep. was courteous and communicated well what he was going to do. He did not move furniture but did elevate furniture legs and bases on small, disposable blocks. This was done to prevent both dampness from the cleaned carpet causing the furniture to stain the carpet and to protect the furniture. He also took care to lay down protectors for a wood floor and the staircase rail supports over and around which he ran his hoses. I have an old carpet. The rep. explained it wouldn't come out looking brand new. I knew it wouldn't. But it did come out very clean. I was not able to see an old pet stain he told me probably would not come out 100%. He also said that because of the cool weather temperature (he finished just before sundown), the carpet would take longer than the usual 7 to 8 hours to dry. He left us foot protectors in case we needed to walk on the carpet. In fact, my wife and I went out and returned home about 7 hours later to a carpet that felt pretty darn dry to me. I could have had my carpets cleaned for less money. But I doubt I could have had the job done better. I will call these people when I want my carpets cleaned again.

The technician arrived on time and was very nice. I have an off-white couch that needed cleaning. When he was done, he suggested I flip the pillows over on the one side of the couch, which I thought was strange, because I just paid $199 to have it cleaned, so why would flipping the cushions over be necessary. When the couch dried, it still had stains on it. Overall I felt that the value (end result) for the money, was not as great as I expected. I even emailed the company the next day, asking them to follow-up with me, but they never responded. I would not use this company again.

They are very good. I've used them twice and both times the people were very professional. The carpets were very clean and they did a very good job. They were very thorough. They are definitely worth the price. They were right on time. They were clean, neat and professional.
