Jose arrived a little late, but phoned me to let me know. He got started right away and did a wonderful job. My carpet has never looked this good since it was new. I will definitely use Haines & Cross (and particularly Jose) again. Very satisfied with the results.

The company responded to my phone message quickly and were able to accommodate my time frame. The price was within range for 3 bedrooms and a hallway. The technician, Jose, arrived within that time frame. He immediately evaluated the carpeting and the stains, including a recent ink stain from a printer cartridge and started working. Jose was very professional. He completed each room before he moved to the next. He placed some of the furniture on blocks. He removed all the stains on the carpeting, including the ink stain. My 20+ year old carpets looked vibrant and refreshed. I was very impressed by the company and by Jose.

I was eventually happy with them, but I had a problem. I have hardwood laminate floors that they don't make anymore, and I'd had renters who didn't take care of the floor. The product I wanted used is no longer available in California thanks to CARB (California Air Resources Board) and so, I made a decision, with his consultation, to just go with a paste wax. He didn't do a very good job the first time around, he got dark brown wax on on all my freshly painted white baseboards. It looked like a never-cleaned marine barrack when he was done. So, he tried to come in and clean it and what he tried to do didn't work. So, I did some research on my own, found another contractor who recommended a different place and a product. I told him about it, bought some of the product myself and he came in and ultimately cleaned all my baseboards, which cost him a day's work. Which was good because the guy wanted to make it right, but it was a day out of my life and a day out of his. I'm as satisfied as I could be with what it is. I've gone on a search looking for the product and if they sold it in another state. If I could find the product, or a similar product that would work on these floors, I would buy it in a heartbeat. But I can't find it so I went with paste wax. I can't really blame the fact that I can't make the floors look the way they used to look onhim because the laws have changed and it's not his fault. The floors show foot-print marks and you have to redo them ever-so-often. What I had was a polymer coating, which left a nice finish and it was slick and beautiful. Paste wax just doesn't do the same. I think it's a good company. Hardwood floors are a little bit out of his realm of specialty. He does them but that's not what he does, he really does carpet and upholstery cleaning and stuff like that. He also does floors but that's just a part of his business, not the main part. I think for anything else except the difficult problem that I gave him he'd get straight A's.

They did a good job and initially had reasonable pricing, however I looked to use them a second time for my mothers home and pricing had almost doubled for the same amount of square footage. I was also disappointed there was no follow up. Also be aware because they will put will put you on a calling list so that you get promotions.

The whole experience was handled very professionally from start to finish. Eric gave a very accurate quote over the phone. Michelle set the appointment and followed up to confirm the evening before. Jose arrived on time and ready to go to work. He measured all rooms and figured the quote. We agreed to the quote and he answered all my questions very thoroughly. He did a great job and even moved the sleeper sofa which I had not expected. Great job, Jose! Thank you!

Bought the Big Deal from Haines and Cross for carpet cleaning of three rooms and hallway for $129. When I made the appointment for them to come out, I also arranged for them to clean an upholstered recliner chair. They arrived on time, and did a beautiful job on the carpet. I wasn't sure if our L-shaped llivingroom/diningroom would count as two or three room sizes, but as it turned out both of those rooms plus our bedroom plus the long hallway was cleaned for the price of the Big Deal. The chair was extra, and I thought a tad high, but the Haines guy did a great job on it and it looked new again. Their man was professional, extremely nice and personable, and we couldn't have been happier with the work he did. We will definately use Haines and Cross again for our carpet cleaning needs.

I had them return last week. I had a good experience with them. At that time in October, I had my two ottomans cleaned and they charged me in October about $213 I think it was. They had a minimum of $175 and I only had my three bedrooms done, and it came to $169, but they charged me the minimum of $175, as it would have been less had there not been a minimum, the minimum was $169. I like their services. I asked for the same young man, Robert. He is about 20 years old or may be a maximum of 21. What I like about their service is that, and I know that he is following orders but I just think he is particularly good, they have a deal where they cover the walls and/or the railing going upstairs so that the hot water on the rubber hoses does not damage any walls or paints and I think that is a cut above. They are very careful and they put down covers on the floors where they are going to be walking, I have wood floors, and they put plastic under chairs that might get wet. Then the other thing that I thought was a nice touch is they left pairs of plastic booties to wear to walk on the carpet that was still wet. I think they are good and I think they deserve a good rating. Robert is very good; he called me that he is on his way.

Their price was the average price. They came, gave me a bid and cleaned the rugs at my house that day. They were fine and did a good job. They did what they said they would and I'd recommend them.

My new carpets had been cleaned 10 month prior and I was not happy with the outcome in high traffic areas. I called H&C. They were able to get to my job within the week and did a thorough job of prepping and cleaning all the rooms.

The carpet in my house was getting dirty from our pets being inside all the time. The cleaners at this company are experts, the smell and all of the spots were gone once they finished. I'm fully satisfied with the work they did.

Technician took his time and did a very thorough job. He gave good tips on keeping the carpet clean, spot treatment, etc

Haines & Cross were a little pricey. They were very professional and courteous. I could only use them again if I got some kind of discount coupon from them. The job done was great.

Efficient, thorough, informatiove

Our carpet had not been cleaning in over 8 years, and our travertine floor in over 15 years. After sifting through Angie?s List, targeting 3 vendors with excellent ratings, each of who submitted a bid, we selected Haines & Cross (?H&C?) based on 1) reviews, 1) price, 2) perceived expertise, and 4) perceived desire of genuine interest to get the job done to my satisfaction. On 10/30/2012, I called H&C and spoke with customer representative Michelle, who informed me that the owner (Eric Bollmann) would call me, which he did, and we meet the very next day. On 10/31/2012, Eric arrived on time, was highly professional, personable, and considerate, and thoroughly addressed my concerns. On 11/29/2012, I contacted Eric confirming our desire to more forward with his services. We set an appointment for a mutually agreeable date and time. On 12/17/2012, customer representatives Mario and Sal arrived approximately on time and preformed a walk-through of the home to set up equipment in anticipation of the services requested. Mario and Sal were professional, helpful, courteous, and showed genuine enthusiasm and concern to complete the services efficiently, timely, and to my satisfaction. Mario and Sal finished the cleaning around 5:30 PM, and informed that I should contact the owner, Eric, to set an appointment to fill in the cracks and holes in the travertine floor. On 12/18/2012, I left a message with H&C re filling the cracks and holes in the travertine floor, and was contacted that day to set an appointment. On 12/20/2012, as promised, Eric filled in various cracks and holes in our travertine floor. Due to the fact that some of the holes in the travertine were missed and did not get filled (understandably because of the large area of travertine in my home and the relative difficulty to see all the holes), I contacted Eric a couple months later to see if he would fill the remaining holes. Without hesitation, Eric agreed and later filled in the additional holes in our travertine. H&C team -- Eric, Mario, Sal, and Michelle ? thank you for the awesome experience, the excellent service, and the highly competitive pricing. No doubt that we will use your services in the future.

Carpet cleaner came on time, was very business-like and professional, did a great job, and left no mess of any kind. Highly recommend.

Due to unexpected guests, I only had a few days to have my carpet cleaned. Haines & Cross was able to schedule me the next day. Their carpet technician was about 45 minutes late, but was still able to finish the job on time. Jose did an excellent job cleaning my carpets. When working in my upstairs bedrooms, Jose was very careful with the hoses, pre-cleaned the carpets so the spots would come up and worked nonstop to get the job done on time. Jose was very knowledgeable about carpets. He was able to answer my questions about spot cleaning and maintaining my carpet. My carpets looked so good after they were cleaned, my house guests could not believe the carpet was 8 years old. They thought it had recently been installed. When my carpets need cleaning, I will be calling H & C again!!! Thanks for the great service!!

We were thinking about replacing our carpeting, because it was light-colored, old, and soiled, and there seemed no hope of seeing it reasonably clean again. Haines & Cross brought out an extremely effective cleaning machine, and supplemented it with plenty of old-fashioned hard scrubbing on the tough spots. It worked. We will keep the carpeting for years, I am certain. These guys are the real thing. You can do no better.

I called them up and they came to get my rugs, so it was convenient. They are very efficient and they brought the rugs back on the day I want them back. They are responsive.

The company arrived quickly after first contact and picked up the carpets for service. After taking the carpets away, I double check the Angie's List site and compared it to the quote. I noticed on the quotation that the Angie's List discount was not applied properly. After trading voicemails with the office the problem was still not resolved, and I had to talk to the owner in order to get this cleared up. Once that was done, they committed to deliver the carpets by 1 Feb. I was busy at work and it took until midway through the next week that I realized our carpets did not come back yet. Another call to the office and then was told the carpets would come back on 8 Feb. They finally arrived on Sat 9 Feb. Still the delivery person was not briefed that the price was changed due to an incorrect calculation, but he did not argue the reworked price that had been agreed with Eric. The +1 week is the reason for the C punctuality rating. Our expensive carpets were well taken care of however. The problems notwithstanding, I will use them again for cleaning of the rest of our Persian carpets.

We were impressed by the Angie's List reviews for Haines & Cross, and also noted a coupon that offered second rug cleaned for 50% off. We brought the rugs to Haines & Cross ourselves and left them for cleaning. They were ready about 9 days later, which was an acceptable turnaround time for us. When we picked up the carpets, I was able to have them unrolled so that I could inspect them before we took them home. The experience from beginning to end was professional; I would recommend this firm to family and friends.

The technician arrived promptly on-time and proceeded to review the carpet to be cleaned. We agreed on pricing for the additional areas not covered by the coupon. He went right to work and was professional, diliogent and quick. I am very pleased with the results and will definately use them again.
