Description of Work: The entire crew at Lowe's were wonderful. They finished the job in 1/3 of the time that was estimated. They kept us informed of what was coming up next. Their installers were totally professional, kept our home extremely clean and were responsive to all of our requests. | |Shari, Amir, Tamer, Melanie and Enrique were just the best! We could not have asked for any better service or result. Our kitchen looks wonderful due to their work.

We had some apprehension about dealing with a "big box" store for this installation, as it was a big job with some sensitive issues. However the Lowes employee handling the job, Narmin Sesar, went over everything in detail and was very customer-service oriented. She was a pleasure to deal with, and greatly exceeded our expectations. We had decided we didn't want granite, and settled on a quartz product called Viaterra by LG. Pricing was good, and Narmin went above and beyond and arranged an additional discount for us. Installation was performed by a contractor Lowes uses in most of Southern California, Noy Enterprises. Again, we were wary, as this was a new player to us. One of Noys' supervisors, Henry, came out to do the measurement, and we were put somewhat at ease. He clearly knew what he was doing, and filled us in on all the steps to our counter install. One critical aspect of the job was that the cooktop cutout had to be located within a tolerance of 3/8s of an inch to fit properly. Henry made careful notes of that, as well as some other items we missed. Following Henry's visit, another Noys employee came out to do the "template" that would be used to cut the actual counter material at their shop. This took about a couple of hours. At the day of the install, two employees of Noys did the work in an afternoon. It was surprisingly fast, with no damage and they did a nice cleanup afterward. One of the counters is a very large "U" shape, and was made up of three separate pieces of stone. The seams were done extremely well, and are only visible if you know just where to look, and then only in the reflected light off the surface. They spent a lot of time getting the seaming right, and it was obvious they really cared about doing a good job.
Description of Work: Lowes, through their contractor Noys Stone, installed 80 square feet of quartz countertop over four different counters. Included were two sinks and a cutout for a cooktop. After they were done, we did our own plumbing and backsplash.

Very bad experience, possibly the worst I've ever had with a contractor. I signed a contract, paid the fees, and someone came to measure. A date was set. Two days before that date, Lowe's called and said I had to sign a new contract because a manager hadn't co-signed the salesman's part of the contract. I left work early to go do this. On the day of service (a day I had taken off from work), the tile guy called and said that he couldn't come, because I had never signed a contract with Lowe's. I told him that I had signed two and had copies, that I could show him. He finally agreed to come and dropped off two non-English speaking workers. I oriented them, but I later saw one urinate in my front yard (he was working in my bathroom, so he did know where that was). I called the store to deal with that and the contract problem (No one there could find either contract). I asked that a supervisor call me back. I called, went to the store and wrote them, but no one has ever called me.
Description of Work: Removed linoleum and put down tile in kitchen and two bathrooms.

I WISH WE WOULD HAVE USED A DIFFERENT COMPANY. I WISH WE WOULD HAVE USED A COMPANY THAT DOES SPECIFICALLY CARPET AND NOT LOWE'S THAT DOES EVERYTHING. YOU CAN SEE THE SEEMS IN A LOT OF PLACES AND IT WASN'T THAT PROFESSIONAL. IT TOOK THEM FOREVER TO GET THE CARPET. IT WAS LESS THAN SATISFACTORY. I HAD TO CALL THEM A LOT, THEY DIDN'T CALL ME.
Description of Work: THEY DID CARPET INSTALLATION.

AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS AT CONTACTING LOWE'S FOR PRICES AND ORDERING A NEW DOOR, I GAVE UP. THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND WOULD NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. I WASTED MONEY BY HAVING THEM COME OUT AND MEASURE.
Description of Work: I HAD LOWE'S COME TO MY HOUSE TO MEASURE FOR A SET OF FRENCH DOORS FOR THE LIVING ROOM.
