One Day No Sanding Wood Floor Refinishing

Description of Work: Once the grout guy heard my description of the problem, he told me that could NOT do the job. Told me to contact Angies and tell them.

Description of Work: Please refund my amount for the $399 special for 56% off Tile & Grout Restoration & Re-color with 25 Year Warranty. The owner Gus was very difficult with me on the phone. He said he couldn't clean only the bottom dirty half of the shower and bathtub wall, because "we don't do partials" and that the deal only included 1 shower even if it was only 50 square feet, when the ad said it covered 100 square feet of bathroom tile. He gave me the runaround again and again., He said he doesn't remember what the ad said, and he said again and again that he doesn't know why it said 100 square feet in his ad, yet he's the owner. Please refund the $399 amount ASAP. Thanks.

Description of Work: Cleaned and applied a wood protector to my wood stairs. It was fast and a temporary fix to protecting the wood on the stairs. It would have been great if I had done it before the protective layer had worn down and stains formed on the bottom stair from wear. I probably need to go to the expense of sanding the wood down. If you are starting to see wear in certain areas of the floor, I would move forward with this process to prevent further damage to your floors.

Description of Work: Vendor would not complete service on my 2" x 2" tiles as it would require too much work on their part for price paid. They would only complete work on larger 12" or larger tiles. Very disappointing that this was not disclosed in the advertisement by Angie's List. Took vendor one week to discuss my job and then to inform me they could not do it. Please refund money paid immediately.

Description of Work: We had both our tile grout refinished and our kitchen and entry floors cleaned and refinished by One Day No Sanding, and could not be happier! Ramon, the technician, was very meticulous in his work, and the tile grout, which is over 20 years old, now looks new! The floors, which are 15 years old, look fabulous! They are clean and newly shined and no longer appear old and worn. We are extremely happy with the jobs we had done, and would highly recommend One Day (and Ramon) to anyone!

Description of Work: I have some mixed feelings about my experience. If you have hardwood floors that have no damage and just could use a good cleaning and refinishing you will likely be thrilled with the results. However, in our case we had carpet covering the hardwood. When the carpet was removed it revealed some termite damage in appoximatiely four plaes. We were told they could repair the damage woth new wood. That was fine with us. However, the wood did not match and when stained it was much lighter and very obvious. Also, the pieces should have been sanded to be level with existing floor.They were not. We were not happy with the results. In our case a complete sanding woud have been a better choice. Gus did say we could have it sanded but we had already finished the project and had spend more thn anticipated wth the extras mot onlu in money but additional time. We had 6" baseboards installed and stained as well. The workers showed up on time and were professional.

Description of Work: They installed flooring and were very accommodating to my scheduling needs. As other projects were pushed back, I need to reschedule several times and needed to spread the work out over a couple of days, in order to have furniture moved from one room to another. The men that came to do the work were extremely helpful and cooperative. I would use this provider again.

Description of Work: Gus has been great, but the service I bought wasn't for Sanding, staining and refinishing, as I had thought... had him quote what I want done, in addition to 3 other quotes from Angie's list contractors, and have chosen to go with someone else, who will do it for less, and also help me move furniture and touch up my baseboards if they get them dirty.... Description of Work: Mom hired this company and was not at all happy with the result. The owner refused to come see the finished job but cut the cost in half and promises to re-do the job in the future at no cost.

Description of Work: What a con. Asked for person to come to house, look at a floor that needed refinishing and bid the job with a written estimate. The 'Salesman' gave a price quote over the phone, sight unseen. Said the job would cost $2000 and would include removing the carpet and tack stripping. Called 'Salesman or owner operator, 'Gus' back to schedule site inspection and written estimate which again he wanted to do a verbal, sight unseen quote, only this time he said it would be around $5000. That was enough for me to say bye bye.
