The Specialists All Natural Carpet Cleaning

Our carpet had a lot of wear, James worked really hard and we loved the result on the carpet. There were patches of areas which dark color due to long use, but after the cleaning it was not visible any more. We also used the Specialists for cleaning Travertine and applying a sealant over the area. They are really good and knowledgeable and very sincere at their work. We had a lot of carpet and travertine to cover in the 2 homes, but James worked with us to work out a good deal. We would definitely use the Specialists again!

My upholstered chair was clean (like new) in less than 45 minutes. My inquiry was answered immediately, he arrived on time and was extremely thoughtful, kind, helpful and very professional! I will stick with this company and refer everyone I know to them! PS the price was very reasonable!

Did a great job. Stairs were a challenge and he gave them extra care and cleaning. Jamie is very friendly and brings lots of "positive energy" to his work... and to your house!! Very professional yet very personable.

They did an excellent job. They're professional and do a bang-up job. I've got nothing bad to say about them. The wife runs the office and is wonderful. They go out of their way to make sure everything is done correctly. The husband is the main tech and he's on time and doing what he's supposed to be doing.

hese people are the real deal. I have a VERY old dog who had started to have bladder issues, I thought my living room rug was wrecked but thought I would try and salvage it. This man and his wife are the nicest people AND they got my rug completely clean! I plan on using them for all my rug and carpet needs. Kindand reliable people who do quality work.

James did a superb job cleaning the wall-to-wall carpets in my home. Our light-colored carpets showed the beating it took from a house guest in a wheelchair and his very large dog during a six-month period. I was hopeful but not very optimistic that the soiled high traffic areas and "accident" areas would come clean. James was conscientious and thorough and was able to get my carpets looking great. The only way it could look better is if I got new carpeting! James and his wife, Joy, were wonderful to work with. Their professionalism was exemplary in every way. They maintained communication throughout the entire process from complimentary estimate to a follow-up call. Beyond their excellent service, they were trustworthy. I would feel completety comfortable giving them a key to work in the house when I wasn't home. I highly recommend them and wouldn't think of calling anyone else the next time the carpets need care.

Awesome job! He called before he came and was on time. He takes his time, does a thorough job, and it is not rushed. Very friendly, and easy to work with. He removed several old stains and left the carpet looking like new. Thanks James, for the remarkable job. We have definitely found our carpet cleaner for the future.

They were awesome! They were a little pricey and more expensive than other people but they did very good work. He's a very nice guy. It's a husband and wife team that owns the place and they were able to remove a Kool-Aid stain that had been in my carpet for years; she was just brilliant. The stain has not come back and I'm not even sure how she took it out. It was a very light carpet and she took it out so I'm willing to pay a little bit more to get very good results. I have a big house and what they charge is solely dependent on how big a house is.

Joy was so nice on the phone, she even called the morning of the appointment to give me an estimated time of arrival. James showed up on time and was very professional and friendly. My carpet is going on 14 years and is in pretty good shape, but very dirty. I just had some remodeling done in my home and my carpet really needed to be cleaned. Right away James brought in some bumpers to protect my corners and he put on shoe protectors. He started cleaning in the back of the house and came and asked me if I wanted to see the difference already. Wow, what a difference, I was really excited to see how the rest of the house was going to come out. James did a fantastic job, my carpets look brand new. I will be using them again.

So we have had the carpets cleaned 3 times by other providers here on Angies List, usually as part of a deal. This time, while a deal was considered, we really wanted someone to come out and do it well. Our carpets would always get dirty very quickly after cleaning. I was pretty sure this was because of soap still in the carpet which attracts dirt (what soap is supposed to do!). I read the website for the Specialists and it seemed like they have a good system so I tried them out. In the past while everyone could get the general areas of the carpet clean, no one has ever been able to get the high traffic areas clean. They were always dark bands in our off white carpet. This time, for the first time, they are clean and look like the rest of the house. The stains are likewise gone and the carpet doesn't crunch when you walk on it like it used to after previous cleanings. It's also fluffier than it used to be especially in the traffic areas which were pretty beaten down. My carpet actually looks nice!! Now, aside from the superior results, I have to talk about this company's work ethic. This guy toiled for about 5 hours for what would have been 3 hours had my carpet not been so bad. He could have cut corners but he didn't. He just kept at it until it looked like it should have. He did such an outstanding job, I paid him an extra $75 over what his final bill was. Let me say that again - He did such an outstanding job, I paid him an extra $75. How many times do you hear that? I can tell you from my experience that while he may not be the cheapest provider, this man means to be in business for a long time and sets the bar for carpet cleaning standards very high indeed. I will not call anyone else next time I need my carpets done. I have found my "carpet guy"!

Absolutely wonderful company. Jason arrived on time and did an absolutely amazing job. He took the time to show me the left over soap from the previous owners who used chemical carpet cleaners. We have very light carpet and each room had high traffic areas at the doors. He thoroughly explained the process of what he does and why what he uses is superior to the traditional chemical cleaners. The carpets looked soo much better than I had expected. One negative I have to comment on, is that they asked me to make sure the carpets had been vacuumed really well, however... their website says they do the vacuuming with a high powered vacuum for you. It also says there is a 12 step process.... not true at all. He comes in and looks then starts cleaning the carpets there are zero extra steps. He does spray the carpet with a cleanser right before he steam blasts them. He wouldn't have groomed the carpets either had I not done the protection. It was a brand new house and we waited for them to come before putting in the furniture and they did not provide any discount for not having to move furniture that is included in their price.Overall I was really happy with the service, they are very expensive compared to any other carpet cleaners I've ever hired, but since they are all natural and super professional it was worth it to me. I will hire them again.

James was prompt, friendly and professional. He owns the company with his wife and it's satisfying to support a local business owner. He did a magnificent job on our carpet and really went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied. All the stains are gone, including a couple of animal remnants. He didn't try to aggressively up-sell and instead provided great suggestions and areas where he didn't feel we needed to spend extra money for services. Will use this company again for sure.

James was on time and very careful not to damage walls, etc. He pretreated spots and spent extra time on them. The carpets look great!

"Courteous", "responsive" and "professional" don't begin to describe The Specialists. They were fast, nimble and effective, and when we got home with the new cat, all was well. It even took me a while to get a check to them, and they could not have been more patient and understanding. I'd call them again in a New York minute!

Wow, I just got my carpet cleaned by The Specialists and they were absolutely outstanding. I had a long-standing dog urine issue that I had tried to resolve multiple times without success, including hiring another carpet cleaning company (who came out twice and really seemed to try, but did not succeed in getting the smell out), replacing the carpet pad, and cleaning it multiple times myself with a whole cartload of enzymatic cleaners. The Specialists had an awesome system to get the carpet really, truly clean by driving water and some kind of foaming cleaner down deep into the carpet and then sucking it back out with a special machine. This actually removed the urine instead of just laying more and more chemicals on top of it. And as a bonus it was really fun to watch all the dirty water come sucking out of the carpet. The price was very reasonable and if I had gone to them first, I would have saved hundreds on services and products that didn't work. They were also super professional, called the day before to confirm, called to let me know when they were on their way, were careful about not letting my pets out, and were polite and friendly. I will definitely use them again for general carpet cleaning (they have all natural cleaners which is great since I have pets and am sensitive to chemical smells) and refer them to friends. If I could give them higher than an A I would!

James was a great communicator. He was kind, conscientious of price and wanted to do a good job-he did.

Did a great job. Very friendly. They had to cancel the first appointment due to illness, but really worked hard to get us another time slot quickly, and they worked late to accommodate us for our rebooked appointment. When they left, the furniture looked like new and didn't have any chemical odor while drying. I'll definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

It was a bit pricey but I have never seen a process like this. I was really impressed with the detail he was putting into the service before he even started on the general cleaning. He was also very friendly with great customer service.

I had The Specialists do a thorough cleaning of carpets in Nov. 2012 on a home I had purchased (review done previously). I was so impressed with their work and professionalism that when I recently needed spot cleaning of some areas I contacted them again. James pre-treated and cleaned an area where my dog had urine and loose stool stains. Once again I was very pleased with his work. Joy contacted me the day before the appt. to remind me that James would be coming and on the day of the appt. she again called to let me know that he was on his way. For future carpet cleaning, they are definitely my "go to" provider.

Excellent, professional service from this small team. They cleaned my very dirty upstairs and downstairs carpets, stairs, and linoleum in the kitchen. The service was performed on the Saturday before Christmas, and they really made my Christmas break much more enjoyable for me and my house guest. Would definitely use them again.

James was delayed in his arrival, but I received a call both from him and from Joy. Still, he arrived within the time window given. He was very clear about what could and could not be expected during cleaning of a stained wool rug. It was a big improvement, nonetheless. He also did the stairs and hallway of our home, along with one bedroom. I was very satisfied with the quality and value of the service. Joy and James were excellent and did a fantastic job. They called the day of to give me an more exact arrival time, gave me an estimate and were able to do the work the same day. They were very warm and obviously enjoy and take pride in their work. They took the time to explain their cleaning process and the cleaning supplies they used. Their website is well laid out, easy to navigate, and informative. They were the last estimate I got of 3, and though the priciest I decided to go with them based on their professionalism and ability to explain things in a way that made me confident that they would do a superior job.

James arrived promptly and was very courteous and careful of my newly painted walls and corners. He worked very efficiently and the carpets, as old as they were, looked better than I expected.
