Accurate Irrigation and Lighting Service

Tom Jara was on time or called if he was going to be late. He worked very carefully and took pride in his work. His pricing was fair for all that he did. He always made follow up calls.

Made an appointment, then changed it because he was so busy after getting on Angie's List. Very personable, very anxious to please. Looked all around, then said he would have to come back to see everything. A couple of days later I got a call from him saying he had injured himself, and would not be working for a good while, so that ended that.

Tom returned my call quickly and showed up the next day to help replace a sprinkler actuator I had tried to install myself. We scheduled a time for him to come back and replace numerous sprinkler heads and get water to areas where pipes were broken. He accomplished a lot in the time that he was here. He knew just what was needed and did a great job getting water to trees and areas with ice plant. He replaced a 2nd actuator that was not shutting off after use. Tom called me about a week later to see how everything was working out as well. I would highly recommend using his company.

Tom arrived on time and completed the job on time. I am so pleased with the results!!! I no longer have to hand water areas that weren't covered by the old system. He really knows his stuff!

Tom made room in a very busy schedule to deal with a sprinkler station which would not shut off automatically when signaled to do so by the controller. Tom arrived exactly as he said he would after calling in advance and letting us know he was on his way on our scheduled morning. Tom checked our controller to verify which wires were in the affected control circuit and then checked our in-ground boxes housing the valve controls. Tom ended up finding an in-ground box that was under some shrubbery which we didn't even know was there that housed the control valves for the malfunctioning sprinkler station. Tom found that the control valve for the station was not functioning properly, and we decided to replace the valve. Tom bought the replacement part and installed it. We tested the system. During the test, Tom and I mapped which station covered which sections of the yard, and Tom adjusted some of the sprinkler heads that were not working properly or were out of adjustment. We found several sprinkler heads that were clogged with dirt or were leaking. Tom's bill was very reasonable and we were happy to pay for such good service. Tom is very personable and behaved very professionally as a craftsman who clearly knows his business.

Tom set a date to begin working and arrived on time with his helper. The work was done over two days, a Tuesday and a Thursday, due to some scheduling problems. I did not mind waiting because Tom obviously knew what he was doing. He replaced a leaking valve and a leaking T connection in the front, capped off a old pipe that had been leaking slowly for a long time, dug the trenches and laid new pipe to the back yard, and cleaned up when he was finished. I really appreciated the quality and professionalism of his work!

He responded right away and came to do the estimate when he said he would. He performed the job in a timely fashion.

Tom and his helper showed up on time went night to work. They did on excellent job and took ears of a few new problems that showed up. Highly recommend !

Tom made time for me, even though he was very busy. I told him I had a leaking valve, and was concerned about the loss of water. He kept in touch with me daily, stating when he could fit me in, about 5 days. Tom and his helper, Chelsey, came at appointed time, and worked efficiently and neatly. He could make the date and time originally scheduled, but called days in advance to reschedule only a couple of days latter. On the day of service, he was punctual. No surprises - everything went smoothly and according to plan.

Tom was great from the start by returning my call promptly provided an estimate & scheduling the work. He listens to my concerns & helped me understand my drip system better. When he left I felt that my problem was solved.

My company manages a commercial property, and we had Tom come out for some badly needed work on the building's irrigation and watering system. He was very responsive, immediately knew what the problems were, how to fix it, and exactly how long it would take for him to fix it. Tom is very knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. We will continue to work with him on our commercial and residential properties.

He was here twice, once for mostly the front, the other time for the back yard. Also installed the new timing device on the first visitt with the new Rainbird device being outside in the paio area, not in the garage. Explained how to work it as well. Installed new lines where needed, got the old system working properly, repaired a leak, Explained to me some optional additional things he can do in the future with price guidelines.

Tom came to our home the previouse week and gave us an estimate on repairing & adding to our existing sprinkler system. He set a date to complete the work. He and his assistant arrived promptly and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. Tom is a pleasant and knowledgeable man. We will deffinately call him if we need work done in the future.

We're military and new to the East Lake area. Our recently purchased home had been empty for sometime and only one of the irrigation zones was working. Tom arrived, right on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad valve soleniod and a disconnected wire. He then looked over the entire systems. Noting numerous additional required minor repairs. Mostly modifications to sprinkler heads. He walked me through how to fix each one and explained where to get the parts. He spent an hour going over the system in detail. He offered to make the repairs, but recommended I give it a try first. He pointed out it would be cheaper and he would answer any questions over the phone. He was then going to leave without payment. I convinced him to allow me to at least cover his gas from El Cajon and back. Simply outstanding service. - I highly recommend Accurate Irrigation and Lighting.

Tom if very conscientious and personable. His communication was outstanding. He kept me informed every step of the way. He worked very quickly and professionally. This job was completed faster than I expected and for less money than I expected. If I need further irrigation or lighting services, I will be calling him again.

Tom did a super job of fixing all the coverage problems and leaks in our extensive sprinkler system. He also improved the water use efficiency as he had promised and we are very pleased with the results. Our water use dropped by about 50 %, partly due to less hot days, but largely due to the improvements made by Tom. He got these results by moving some sprinkler heads and adding a few more, and also achieved more efficiency by replacing many of the heads with more efficient ones and adjusting flow volumes. I had attempted to do this work myself and had replaced some heads with ones that claim to be efficient, but Tom knew which products are really the best, based on his long experience. Tom was very easy to work with, professional, and got the job done in the time frame we had agreed on, at a cost that was very close to the estimate. All our varied landscape areas are getting the proper water, but not too much, and we are completely satisfied. I know the large improvement in our water useage was possible because the existing system was in poor shape, but I also think that Tom achieved the most improvement that was possible. I plan to use his service again in the future for any tune up work that may be needed. I also highly recommend his sevice to anyone with ineffective irrigation systems.

Tom was pleasant to work with. He was extremely efficient, prompt and kept us informed of what he had done and what needed to be completed. His work was great, he was right on budget to his quotation. Since the repairs and upgrades, he has been back several times to check on the system and make any minor adjustments needed. Tom reviewed my entire sprinkler system for the source of leaks and had to find two valve boxes that had been buried nearly two feet underground by years of overgrown ivy. I was unaware, as were my gardeners, of the exact location of these valves and Tom brought in the right kind of electronic equipment that allowed him to follow the electric current and trace the signals to the hidden valve boxes. Following this he assessed the entire system to insure the proper heads were being used for coverage and that the system had stop valves in the places where water could drain out and be lost (our property is on a fairly severe slope). He was very professional, persevered through the difficult task of finding the hidden valves and was very professional throughout. In addition, he taught me a few tricks that I could perform myself so I could maintain the system going forward.

He recommended a plumber to install a regulator at the water main. Once that was done, Tom came out and fixed and adjusted my sprinklers on a half acre section of my property. A week later, I noticed one of the sprinklers shooting straight up into the air. He came out no charge to fix it. Two months later, I ran over two sprinkler heads with my zero turn and he fixed them at minimal charge. I'm a retired widow and it feels great to know I can rely on someone I can trust for help. Tom came out and quickly fixed both. On his first trip he fixed my sprinklers, and he did such a good job I brought him back to finish the yard lighting job that has been on my to do list for months. His rates are great, he charges by the hour and parts are all sold at cost. I could not recommend him enough for lighting or sprinklers.

We did a walk-through at our first meeting and then service was performed just after the holiday.
