Prodigy Moving & Storage

I do not remember the cost of the service off hand but it was probably $1,000. They were recommended to me by a friend and they were really professional, on time and upfront about their pricing so there was a very low stress in the moving process. Their price was also comparable to any other company.

Not a good start. The team leader was rude, overbearing, and unprofessional. Suggested that we should buy them pizza for lunch. They did accomplish the move without delays or breakage. When we complained to the company management, they apologized for the worker's behavior and applied a generous credit to our bill.

It was a 4-man crew and when they spent about 8-9 hours moving us out of a 3 bedroom home into storage about 30 miles away. As with most moving experiences there were a few hiccups, but the company management was very quick to follow up and do absolutely everything possible to correct the issues.

Prodigy Moving & Storage did a GREAT JOB they were fast, neat, clean, and professional. Their foreman Marco Was the best at keeping his crew of 6 running. I can't say enough good about the whole experience. Bill and Dory

They were on time. Sent me three awesome guys who did the move very fast. I would use them again. There are some extra charges for disposable wraps but they tell you all that beforehand.

Prodigy was on time. After we went over all the policies and pricing again the guys jumped right into the move. They were able to disassemble all my furniture items. The guys also helped me put get all my clothes packed up in the provided wardrobe boxes. (And I have a lot of clothes.) For a 1bd I actually have a lot of big furniture items. I have a couple of gym items the guys were able to take apart and put back together and everything seems to work perfectly. Since I didn't want to pay an additional charge for a box for my tv. In the office they told me I could even opt to have the guys wrap my tv in blankets and put it in my own car. They also helped me figure out which deal is the best for my move. I was traveling a short distance maybe like 5 miles or so. The move took 4 hours, but like I said I have a lot of items, and I was a bit less prepared then expected to be. The guys were so nice they were happy to help me finish any last minute packing. They wrapped up all my furniture. There were no damages like at all. I don't know how I would have gotten this move done without the help of prodigy. It really seemed like these guys cared about helping me get the best savings and really worried about my items. I've had movers before just throw things in boxes and in truck, and there were charges for steps. Also they never told me about that double drive time, so the end amount was completely unexpected. At the end of my move this time. I felt really comfortable and confident that I wasn't being ripped off. The move was worth every penny. Not to mention the movers were super nice. If and when I have to move again, definitely going to get them to help me out.

I called Prodigy after a close Friend Referred them to me . I called Prodigy Just few days before my move date and I figured that because they are such a reputable company, they would be fully booked. I spoke with one of the girls of the office and she completely made me feel like she knew me personally. She gained my trust by being honest with me about all the moving details and she answered all of my questions patiently (And Believe me I had a lot of questions). On confirmation call I was explained everything again by someone else (The Manager) and that made me feel like I was in good hands. The morning of move day, I was ready for my move and so was my moving crew. The team came and rocked it! They were fast, efficient, careful, but also they were very friendly. They never gave me an attitude when I gave them directions and they talked to me like I was their friend and that they had my back. It wasn't about how much money they could gain, it was about getting my move done in a timely manner and about getting all my Items safe to my new home, they even put everything in the right room and reassembled my furniture. I will 100% recommend Prodigy to everyone that I know. Thank you Prodigy! I only see good things coming your way! And a little side note: I was absolutely impressed with the matching uniforms. Not only did they have orange Prodigy shirts, but they also had nice black pants. It's not something that you usually see with a moving company, so very nice touch Prodigy! Classy look!

We've moved several times - both long distance and local. These people were, by far, the best we've ever dealt with. we still can't believe it! Everyone connected was professional from the estimate through the last item placed in our home. Our estimator, Uri, was helpful from the beginning and throughout (he went way far beyond what one would expect when, while it was in storage, fixed a dining room table leg that had been put on wrong by a previous mover(!!!! We loved our foreman, Ivan, from the moment he walked in the door - and we were proven right. He and his guys were so helpful throughout the packing and moving out process - really reduced a VERY STRESSFUL situation. We asked for him and his team to return for the move-in and, sure enough, they sent him and his team. And, if possible, they were even better on the move in!! We had a lot of very large , heavy items that had to get to the second story with a narrow stairway; somehow they managed it ALL without a scratch on a wall or the furniture. We're about halfway through unpacking as we write this - and we have not found one item damaged in the least. They kept every promise made, and they were good humored throughout! We could go on and on, but this, hopefully, gives you the idea. Moving a large household (especially in a downsize situation) is a highly stressful situation. These people actually helped reduce that stress so much that we would say they affected the quality of our lives!!! Needless to say, we would use these guys again in a heartbeat!!! And we've never been able to come close to saying that before..........Thank you Prodigy, Uri, and Ivan - your people and your owner, who obviously establishes a culture of excellence!!!

Seriously, the best money we have ever spent.! I moved 2 days ago with Prodigy. This is the 2nd time I am using them . Once again , they couldn't have done a better job! They came on time and walked me through all the contracts , explained everything in details ,and answered all my questions. . The crew packed things like My TV and handled all my items with so much care . They were also very friendly . Not only are they prompt , professional ,a and extremely helpful with what is obviously a stressful time but they are very nice. They did the move very quickly , efficiently , and I might add without DAMAGING ANYTHING!! These guys lift so much at once, its unreal! They are great! Give them your busyness.

Do not use Prodigy - they will rip you off. Long story short, Ben (the owner) is not the easiest person to talk to and their quotes are completely misleading. We were originally quoted $895, changed it to $1400 on PICKUP day, and ended up paying $2258 on the day the content arrived. The unexpected add-on fees were quite ridiculous and their customer service in dealing with the fees were NOT helpful in resolving ANYTHING. We had done our research with other moving companies, and they were the best initial price quote and seemed the move responsive via email. They continuously flashed their ratings on Angie's List and Yelp, but it's just a marketing ploy. In the end, we were screwed over with paying $1363 more than quoted. On the other hand the actual hard working movers were professional, punctual and friendly - but do not rely on them to do the quoting, pricing, or answer any billing questions. We needed our stuff moved from Southern California to our Northern California 2-bedroom apartment in a timely manner, and the cost estimations were NOT what we expected.

We had a really good experience with Prodigy. Ben and his men worked efficiently and carefully and were fun to be around in the process. We couldn't believe how quickly the job was done (which is great when you're paying by the hour)!!

Dear Prodigy, Your employee was completely unprofessional. It is NOT OK to get into a screaming match with a building manager...no matter what! This greatly impacted my decision not to trust your company with my belongings.

Ezekiel and his 3 man crew were professional, fast, courteous, and very hardworking. This was the easiest move I've ever experienced. They packed the things I hadn't packed yet, disassembled furniture, loaded the truck of our 3 bed townhouse super quick. They took a short lunch break and unloaded the boxes into the correct rooms and reassembled our furniture, all in 6.5 hours, 3 hours less than was estimated. Also, our steep driveway was too narrow, so they had to hand carry everything up the driveway. They started at 9 and were gone by 3:30. No damages to any furniture or walls.

Overall, disappointed in the service. Positives: all phone/office matters were handled promptly and efficiently, even on a Sunday. Problems that arose during the move were addressed with me by office staff the following week, and satisfactorily resolved. Negatives: movers were nice, but unprofessional on many fronts, including the handling of some pieces. Job took nearly twice as long as quoted (I understand the trouble with estimation, but we ended up hitting the legal maximum price for the quote given, and did not add any additional pieces or work from the initial quote, price was adjusted down some to help the issue). Movers were unprepared with an efficient driving route, map, or proper gps system (cell phones don't always work!). Movers denied creating damage to the outside of the house, even though I was able to prove they were the cause, and did not offer any apology for paint damage created inside. Even though everyone was very nice, I cannot recommend this company. I went with a different group for the larger part of the move after this experience, and was much more satisfied.

Benjamin, Juan, and Fernando preformed the job in a professional manner and worked quickly and efficiently. It was obvious they were careful not to waste time but also were very mindful of my furniture and handled with care. (I have Japanese antique and vintage furniture). I was very happy with the service and would use again. They know what they are doing, very professional and systematic. Abbie was great in following up on the service.

They sent three people total. They sent one supervisor and two movers. The two movers seemed to be inexperienced and the supervisor was not professional in how he treated his crew. It took them about five hours to complete the job. I was pleased with the moving and the packing. The service was good and they came on budget. However, they damaged the front door of the unit we were moving out of and they did not respond to our request to fix it.

All four of the movers were very fast and efficient, and very nice people to boot. They packed and moved us in about 6 hours. With a 6-month-old, their packing for us was a godsend. The only complaint, if you can call it that, is that they packed absolutely everything unless expressly told not to. They did a great job. Just make sure you take out anything you don't want them to pack up.

This was an extremely complex move because our new home is on a winding, steep, narrow road that is inaccessible by large, 26-foot moving trucks. Thus, we had to spread the work out over two days, using two 16-foot trucks. The Prodigy movers were pros and handled every aspect of the move perfectly. When I first called to get an estimate, Uri Kaldes said he would drive over to our new home to check it out firsthand. Then, when he visited our home in Westlake Village to inventory our belongings, he developed an efficient strategy for the move. (Another moving company's estimator only checked out our new location using Google maps and was confident he could use a 26-foot truck, which could have led to a catastrophe. The other mover's price estimate was somewhat lower, but I didn't trust his competence. By comparison, Uri's thoroughness was impressive.) We had a six-man team for each day of the move, and the men were friendly, helpful, courteous, efficient, strong, and professional. Their thoughtfulness and can-do spirit helped immensely in relieving the stress of moving for our family. Our old and new homes both had stairs and some quite heavy pieces, but they handled everything beautifully. I would request these crews again in a minute, but I hope I don't need movers again for quite a while! A few days after the move, I realized I had instructed the crew to place a couple of very large items in the wrong places. The error was mine, not the movers. Thus, I called Uri to ask what it would cost to send a couple of the men over to help me move the items to new locations within the house. I was quite surprised when he told me he would send over two men the next time they were in the area, for no charge. I explained again that the error was mine and that I didn't expect Prodigy to correct the customer's error, but he insisted, and the men came by a couple of days later and moved the items at no charge. (We did tip them, of course.) I was greatly appreciative to receive such a high level of customer service. It is a pleasure to give Prodigy my highest recommendation. My husband and I are very glad that we selected this company.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was okay. It took a long time to move. I spent almost a thousand Dollars. This was the first time that I used them. They disconnected the water line, and the landlord said that it exploded and flooded the entire apartment. They had to call an emergency plumber, and I had to pay for that. I don't know how they closed it. They also broke the railing on one of my computer desks, and when I went to unpack it, I saw that it was broken. It is not an expensive table, but now I will have to throw it or give it to goodwill. I moved from the Valley to the west side, and one of the major freeways that we take is a nightmare, and that was the reason why it took 7 or 8 hours to move. We spent at least 1 and half hours on the road, because we had to move one of the fridges to storage because it wouldn't fit. The guys were good. I had a couch that wouldn't fit in the elevator, and so I ended up giving it to them. They were punctual, and 4 people came out to do the job. I was frustrated with the time that it took. The company itself was not at fault.I had to pay extra for the additional hours that they worked. They charge a flat rate for 4 hours, but there is no way you can move in 4 hours.

Great. Very friendly, efficient, careful, and reasonably priced. Moving is no fun, but Marcos and crew made it much easier.

Moving is a mess. It's stressful and exhausting. And in the past, finding a trustworthy mover was half of the battle. That's something we no longer have to worry about. My wife and I got 4 bids. While Prodigy wasn't the lowest (which was a good thing) they were right on target with what we thought we would have to pay for a move. Not only that, they gave us some great ideas on how to save money on the move (at their expense I might add). On moving day, the crew (led by Martin) was on time, professional and remarkably efficient. They worked hard to load up our stuff, and moved some ridiculously heavy items with ease. After a quick break for pizza (folks...buy them some food!) they loaded up the new house. All of our stuff was taken great care of, and made it to it's new home in perfect condition. And, they finished early...saving us more money, Fantastic. My wife handled most of the correspondence with Uri (and the team) and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. Hope not to move again any time soon, but if we do our one and only call will be to Prodigy.
