Our 2 year old York ground-level air conditioner went out on a hot Sunday afternoon. I called at 7am Monday morning and Joe Sepe said he could have someone out within two hours. At 9am Nick came to the door. He diagnosed the loose thermostat, performed a service check on the system, and replaced a weathered outdoor wire. The system was up and running within 15 minutes. I couldn't believe it when he said I owed only $65.00. Nick was polite, professional, and clean cut.

Joe is a great guy-originally he came over to get my old unit up to snuff (it was a dinosaur rated at Zero for energy efficiency). Then, I found out the roof had an older roof over it and the nails were coming out causing the roof to leak (which is why the roofer came by). So, since I was surprised to hear I needed a new roof, and it made sense to have a new AC unit that was better and more energy efficient-I called Joe to let him know I need a new unit (he felt bad after his guys did all the work and we spent the money-we shared his sentiment but knew this was the right direction to go). This after spending $1800 for new ducting for the old unit. Joe quoted just under $10k for the new unit, had a crane pull off the old unit from the roof, which he coordinated with the roofer to make sure all went smoothly. He let my electrician know where he needed the power run, and when the roof was done a new unit was put back via crane. We had other contractors working on the interior to plaster and paint. We had to wait several weeks before Joe could come back, install the returns, filter, controller. He had the unit tested and we are just waiting for an inspection to be completed. He also cleaned the dryer duct to remove old lint at no extra charge. The new AC is fabulous and we will save money with the new energy efficient unit. His crew did a yeoman's job on both projects and I highly recommend them.

Joe Sepe replaced our old AC and Furnance about 8 years ago (way before I joined Angie's list). We were very happy with the installation at that time, and have had no problems with the system up until just this past month when we were running the AC right before 4th of July. Friday evening, we diagnosed it was the condenser that was malfunctioning. Of course this had to happen right before the holiday weekend and us holding a party on the 4th. My husband called Joe, but being the evening, we had to leave a voice message. I really didn't think anyone would get back to us until after the holiday but early Saturday morning, Joe returned my husband's call saying he would be at our house within 2 hours. Joe showed up as planned, and within 5 minutes, our condenser was back in action. The problem was the circuit breaker. We forgot the cardinal rule anytime something malfunctions: "did you check the fuse/circuits?" We felt pretty silly but Joe was very nice, and made us feel somewhat better by informing us we weren't the first to do similar. When my husband asked how much for the emergency visit, Joe replied "nothing." He wouldn't even take a tip for his time or to buy gas for the trip. If you are looking for an honest and prompt HVAC vendor, Joe Sepe is your man.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Joe Sepe. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called because one customer was not there for his appointment. My problem was a blown capacitor. Joe Sepe replaced the capacitor, washed out my A/C unit, took a look at my electrical and gave me a replacement air filter (which I needed). I would use this company again.

My mother's air conditioning wasn't working. It was the 4th of July weekend. We couldn't get anyone out to look at her unit because of the holiday. We called Joe and he too was too busy. However, he promised her would come out the day after the 4th. It was a hot weekend but first thing Tuesday morning he arrived. He checked her unit and said she needed some freon and that there was a leak. He fixed the leak and added freon and my mom's conditioning works great now. He was very nice, efficient and knowledgeable. We would definitely use him again.

Joe and his crew arrived on time and were both professional and thorough. They did an excellent job and I will definitely have them back to also install new ducts. One reason I went with Joe Sepe is the sense of honesty I got from him - he was straightforward and not a salesman So trust was a factor in that decision. In summary I am more than very pleased with his work and the price for his services and will gladly recommend him to any friends needing similar services.

Called Joe for appt for A/C installation estimate. Had a tentative appt for Mon morning. He said he was waiting to get some sort of call from another client so didn't know exactly what time it would be but would call me Mon 8:30 am to set specific time. He never called. Later that day I went by the house he was to work on and his business card was stuck in the door! He obviously got mixed up.

Our furnace was not delivering heat, and the burner was firing intermittently. I called Joe and he sent out two young men (one appeared to be in training) who were very polite and efficient. The lead fellow (I believe his name is Luis) checked out the furnace completely and determined that the firing mechanism (if that's the right word) was dirty, and very possibly the culprit. He cleaned it, and since then everything works great. And, he even cleaned the filter. All this took about and hour. Nice not to spend money on questionable parts and repairs. Excellent. Like to do business with local vendors and be treated well.

The job was done quickly and as described. Very professional. The condensation drain was improperly installed when house was built and Joe reconfigured the drains and installed per industry standards. Joe reconfigured drains by modifying existing drains to minimize cost. Very happy with results and will use again for future needs.

It went very well. Initially he evaluated the unit -- then went to see if he could get a new part from Lennox -- this was not available -- but after thinking and researching the area he found a way to repair the fan at the site without any further wait and then cleared the drainage line of materials that had gotten into it. After that he evaluated and updated the freon unit in the main air conditioner. He was always there when he said. He was courteous and managed to save me a fair amount on the cost of the repair. I will definitely use him for any further air conditioning work. I was very impressed.

I called Joe and he came over the same day. He found out what was wrong and explained everything very clearly and didn't upsell or try to take advantage of us..gave a price which was way less then I thought it would cost. He even called from the part store to tell me it was $25 dollars less then he quoted...most guys would just pocket it...He worked very fast when he put it all back together and checked the outside units and topped off the freon. I am so happy that I called him and will tell everybody to call him if the need an air guy!

Joe was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very friendly and extremely professional. We had two other contractors look at our unit which was no longer blowing cold air and each of them recommended VERY expensive brand new units that would have cost us over $5,000. Joe came in, inspected the unit, and recommended some modest servicing changes to our existing unit which now runs better than ever. Joe literally saved us thousands of dollars and I won't hesitate to work with him in the future. I have already told everyone I know that if you have heating or AC issues, call Joe. He's one of the very few honest guys left out there. Thanks Joe!!

They were very prompt. They came in, did a good job and did what they were supposed to in a very timely fashion. They were very competent.

Very knowledgeable and professional. Arrived on time to do estimate, but never gave me a quote. He said he emailed it, but it never came. I called him four times, and each time he said he'd get the quote to me, but it never came. I finally gave up.

One of Joe's employee's came out and assessed our A/C system. He let me know that the performance could be improved with a service. I was happy that he did not try to sell me an entire system.

Our first contact with Joe was when he arrived to do an estimate. He was very professional when explaining what unit we should be getting. He suggested purchasing an upgrade from an existing 3 ton to a 5 ton, 14 seer system. We installed this system in April and have been extremely happy that we went with the upgrade. The house is always the right temp. Joe Sepe arrived on time with 3 workers and completed the job in one day time even though he quoted 2 days. Quality of work was very good. Price was very competitive and there were no additional costs or surprises. They covered the floor and kept all areas clean while working and completely cleaned up when finished. We would most certainly use him again and recommend him to any of our friends.

We were very pleased with our experience with this company and with Mr Sepe in particular. He is very knowledgeable about various heating and cooling systems and discussed our options and answered our questions in detail. We received a written estimate right away. Once the work began it was barely a disruption in our home. The workers were very quiet and kept everything clean and out of the way. They finished the job earlier than expected and we are delighted with our new system. By the way, this company is the 5th company we interviewed and we are very happy we found them.

Of the three vendors who provided me with a quote, Joe came off as the most honest and least interested in making a buck at my expense. He gave us the tools needed to make a decision that made sense without any pressure. During the installation, a number of challenges came up that he was not prepared for, and working through the problems without being offensive. It was a pleasure to work with Joe and I would definitely recommend his services.

The reason I was replacing my system was that the furnace had been recalled and there was a fire danger. Joe was professional. He was the only one to look at my entire system including going up into the attic to look at the furnace. He explained all of my options. He didn't try to oversell, like other companies I talked to. He and his assistant were punctual, quiet, and respectful of my home and my dogs. When he replaced the furnace, he showed me where the old one was damaged and why it was recalled. They finished the job in a day and a half. I was very pleased with the result.

He came out and said for $150.00 he could probably keep it going for another summer. We asked him about a new unit and he gave us a few options and made his suggestion, if we wanted to spend the extra money. We chose a new unit (finally) and he set a date. He and his crew came out and removed the old unit from the roof and installed the new unit. The whole process took about 4 hours and the result was a cool home (finally).
