The job started with an estimate. Alvaro came on time, answered all of my questions, and provided me with references. I selected him because of his experience and the overall feedback I received from his references. He was also in good standing with the better business bureau. His crew was on time and were extremely hard working. They cleaned up at the end of the day to minimize the impact on us. Throughout the process, Alvaro checked in with me to answer my questions and to respond to any concerns I had. My first concern was the stain color. When his crew tested the color on the sanded floor, the color was not what I wanted. Alvaro stopped by the next day with a new color that was perfect and the job continued. The crew taped sheets of plastic to prevent dust from getting into other rooms/furniture, unfortunately, it was discovered some paint was removed from the wall when the plastic was removed. Alvaro asked me for the paint colors and had a painter arrive within a day to patch up the paint. My refinished floors are beautiful and I would highly recommend Alvaro and his crew to others.

The floor boards Alvaro installed in our kitchen began moving within the first year and are now so loose that they can be wiggled by hand. These boards were not nailed down properly. All of the abutting original boards (50+ yrs old) are rock solid. We had issues with workmanship throughout our house, but the kitchen was the most severe. It is less functional now than before Alvaro worked on it. This is not normal movement either, as only Rodriguez's floor boards move under load. We gave Alvaro numerous opportunities to fix these boards before we finally rated him on ServiceMagic, and the scores have not been changed since. Quality=1 (lowest)

Alvaro was a dream to work with, beautiful craftsmanship and hard workers. A very loveley unfished red oak with several layers of urethane; the floors look fabulous. Alvaro gave us a great price too.
