CLASSIC OAK DESIGNS HARDWOOD FLOORS

Not good. 

He used a nail gun when replacing the slats that went through pipes under the floor.  I had a plumber come and fix the pipes but it took weeks for him to come and fix the space where the pipes had to be repaired.  I was disappointed that I had to pay extra to get the pipes fixed and the other places in the floor re-finished.

Overall service was fine. Major installation and refinish work was completed on time. Seam between old and new wood is undetectable. Attention to finish work and final inspection, however, was lacking. They claimed to be finished, but final putty work was not completed as many 1 mm wide gaps remained in floor. Wall had 1" diameter chip/chunk missing due to damaged during tear out. 1/4" gap was visible around heat register vent on floor. Old nail heads were still protruding from original floor. I called and crew did respond promptly. They filled most of the 1 mm gaps and fixed the gap around heat register. Although wall damage and nails were pointed out, those item were not corrected. Promises to drop off final paper work were not kept. Paper work was delivered after third request.

OVERALL, WE HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS VERY GOOD. THE ONLY ISSUES WE HAD WERE A COUPLE OF COMMUNICATION ERRORS WITH GENO HAGIPEROS, THE CONTRACTOR. THE PROJECT TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED AS A RESULT OF THESE MISCOMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN GENO AND OURSELVES. WE WERE TRYING TO COORDINATE THE FLOORING PROJECT WITH A CABINETRY PROJECT BEING DONE BY A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR. IT REQUIRED THAT GENO'S GUYS COME IN AT A CERTAIN STAGE OF THE CABINET WORK TO DO PART OF THE FLOORING JOB. OVERALL, WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR WOODEN FLOORS AND WILL HAVE THEM DO THE REST OF THE HARDWOOD FLOORS WE HAVE PLANNED FOR OUR HOUSE.
