Response from GC Heating & Cooling Inc
Hello, Thank you for your review. I would like to address a few things in this review, for the future reference of potential new customers. Our standard appointments are given in 3 hour windows with a 30-40 min arrival call from the technician prior to arriving, We have no set time to arrive, we will arrive within the 3 hour window we provide, this is CLEARLY communicated to customers when booking an appointment by phone or using our online booking system. This appointment was set using our online booking system, and we urge all customers to read all appointment information and to check your email to review appointment details. To address whether your "Tuning" was done, I can answer that is was not, and the reason is because the customer did not purchase a tune up. The customer booked and purchased a Diagnostic in which was stated " My AC is making annoying buzzing sound that needs to be fixed & needs air filter changed. Thanks." A diagnostic report was provided and recommendations were made to replace the condenser, which had a compressor which was making loud noise from the deteriorating windings when running, it was explained that this condenser was at the end of its life expectancy (15-20years with proper maintenance) this unit was manufactured in April 1999. It was explained that this unit uses R22 refrigerant and that GC would replace with an CA approved 410A refrigerant unit, and that the indoor coil would have to be replaced along with the outdoor condenser to be comparable with the new refrigerant. The quote was for $4,699 to replace the condenser and coil, and $6499 to replace the condenser, coil, and ductwork. We believe this to be a fair price. We urge all customers to contact our Manager Micheal or Owner Gustavo if your have any concerns, questions, or comments regarding diagnostic / maintenance reports. -Michael Lopez, Services Manager
