The a/c hadn't been used in a while and, as expected, it had a problem. The technician quoted me a price on 2 units, one with the same freeon technology as what I had and another, higher price for up-to-date technology. I'm not ready to make this purchase. I was given the info without a lot of high pressure to do it now.

Bottom line is that before they came out, the AC wasn't cooling the house. After they left (and since then), it's been doing a great job. I purchased a AC inspection via an Angie's list deal -- our AC was, as far as I knew, running but not doing a great job cooling the house. When they arrived, they noted that most of their inspection calls ended up being diagnosis calls -- in this case, they were correct, as my outside unit decided that it didn't want to start. It was definitely working before they arrived, so I suppose I was lucky they were on the scene. It ended up being the moisture sensor (no, they hadn't been near it before it stopped working). They checked the refrigerant level, and it needed a small amount (and no, it shouldn't ever need to be replaced unless there's a leak - but in this case it was such a small amount, and I'm just trying to keep this unit going for a few more years) -- they recommended a hard start kit -- to be honest, I wasn't sure whether I needed this, and still can't be certain, but it was easier to get everything done in one shot. Since then, the AC has been working like a champ -- so in the end, I've been happy with the service.

He was on time and very nice. Made suggestions and did the work we authorized. We would have them come back out for more work.

We purchased the Big Deal for inspection of our recently-purchased house's a/c system. I emailed them on Monday afternoon, and we connected by phone on Tuesday afternoon. They had an available technician in the area, and he arrived in about 30 minutes. We already knew we had a problem with the primary drain line, and the technician cleared the blockage and installed a different connector to make it easier to clear any future blockages. In addition, we asked them to replace our old thermostat with a programmable one. The technician was very friendly and answered all of my questions.

They charge a certain fee and when they come, they find a problem and make it bigger. The house belongs to someone else and I told them that I couldn't make a decision but they kept on pushing me to do the service. I had to go back and tell my friend that they came and I had paid them because I felt sorry. A professional company should come and check the system and give me the invoice and go. I could then discuss with my wife and talk to the owner of the house and tell them that a professional company came today and then I can pay them the price. They should allow us to make a decision later and not right away. They found a problem and they fixed it for me. I had to stop them by saying that the house was not mine when they came again. They called me because I had purchased a big deal and I told them to give me a call half an hour before they came.

I bought this house 2 years ago. I had another company come service the AC. This time when the man from GC heating and cooling came out he showed me that some time ago vines had grown in to the whole inside of the AC unit. I had the vines removed before I moved into the house, and the AC service done several months later. This mean that the man,from the other company, who did the work the first time never bothered to remove the vines growing inside the machine. The GC guy did, and he showed me the before and after. The AC works so much better now! He was very nice and did a super job. I'll have him back in the future.

I bought their inspection Angies List deal and they emailed me the same day and came out the following day for the inspection on our Air Conditioner. They arrived exactly on time and called first to say they were on their way overall they were wonderful and we will use them again when we need to replace our unit. They inspected our air conditioner said it was in top working order that we did not need our ducts cleaned (we thought we might) we decided to have additional freeon added to our air conditioning unit as it had not been added since we bought the unit 10 years ago.

The HVAC guys called to confirm what time they would be at my home...they checked the unit....found a simple problem with the breaker being off :( and they installed freon. I had called around to other providers listed on Angie's list and one company said just to come out and check the problem would be $99 service call,. GC had a tune up coupon and did not consider my minor problem (AC not putting out cold air) a problem to check with the Angie's list coupon. They did not try to sell me anything unnecessary, they did not tell me i needed a new unit, they were very above board and not trying to push unneeded services or costs onto us. GC was very helpful, courteous and a great value. Great people! thanks GC!

Positive experience in making the appointment, but GC Heating did not show for the appointment nor did they call, ever. :(

His work was fantastic. He was great! The price was extremely fair for all the work that was done. His quality and responsiveness was excellent. He as never late and he always called as a reminder. He was very professional. I have recommended them to friends

Their service is awesome. He is very reasonable and he stays on top of it so I don’t have to worry about it. He also installed my daughter’s as well.

Gustav was absolutely the most honest guy we spoke to. We received quotes from several outfits, all were just a little (or more) cheesy in what was needed (ranged from 10K to 24K) and did not inspire confidence in the work to be done, or the people who were going to do it. 6K is a lot of money - and it was worth every cent! The house cools down very quickly and stays cool; the thermostat is easy to operate; the work was done very professionally (given the heater is in the attic and the a/c outside on the corner of the house). He offered us reasonable financing, did the work quickly and with a ton of attention to detail. We were very impressed. If you need a new heater/ac set up - call this guy; he will give you the pros and cons w/out the sales pitch. And will call you - when it's time to do maintenance. Highly recommend him.
