I was told originally that i was to call on Friday and set up a time with Robert.I called and he was not in due to illness. I was then told to call on Monday, which I did at 8:30AM hoping that he wouldcall me and schedule a delivery time as soon as possible. At 12:30 PM I called once again as I had not heard from Robert. I happened to get Robert on the phone which was a most unpleasant experience as he treated me in a condescending manner. He mentioned that he will not put the glass on top of my desk (which had nothing on it and was cleaned) as that would be considered an "installation" and the $40.00 I paid for delivery did not include "installation". After a few minutes of unpleasantness I was able to get him to agree to at least call me by the end of the day to schedule a time ...which he did and left a message on the phone answering machine. I asked my husband to call him as I did not have a good experience with him. My husband agreed to do this. When my husband called he was informed that the glass would not be installed. My husband was , as I was, shocked that placing a glass atop a desk is considered an "instrallation", but we accepted this. My husband then asked for the little plastic circles to be delivered that go between the wood and the glass. He said he would not do this, that he only delivered. My husband informed him that we had previously purchased a glass for our diningroom table and not only was it "installed" but the discs were given to us as well. He then relented to bring the discs...but he would still not place the glass on the desk. Now my husband is disabled and has mobility and heart problems, I am in my 60's and don't quite reach 5' in height so lifting a piece of glass that is 59" X29" and that is rather heavy can be an obstacle. I was able to finally get help to lift it onto the desk, but the experience I went through with Brea Glass, I will never want to go thorugh again. They do not go the extra mile, let alone the extra 2 ft. to "install" a plate glass on top of a flat, clean desk. In addition, they are not very personable and are more apt to tell you what they will NOT do than what they Will do. I recommend going somewhere else. By the way, the glass is not quite to measurement, but I refuse to go through anymore unpleasantness with this company.
Description of Work: The company was hired to make a 59" X 29" plate glass to go on the top of a desk.I paid to have the glass sized and delivered.
