Spiteri's Complete Auto Service & Repair, Inc.

I took my car to Spiteri's for a radiator leak. They were fairly communicative, and the check in process was smooth. They provided me with a timely update, and attributed the leak to a crack in radiator assembly. They game me an timeframe for getting my car back and the car was ready when they promised it to be. Few weeks later, I found myself stranded on highway due to overheating of engine. I decided to tow the car to Spiteri, and paid $250 for the towing. They investigated into the issue, and this time, they attributed the overheating to a cracked pipe into the radiator, that was too brittle. They explained to me that fixing the radiator caused more pressure on this other part leading to its failure. Now, I would have expected, as part of first radiator fix they would have checked other related parts in radiator assembly for possible malfunctions. It seems they fixed the first defect they found without exploring other possible culprits. They were treating it as entirely new issue, and thus, quite reticent on taking any ownership. Needless to say, I do not intend to use them again. This could have been one off incident, but it was very expensive, inconvenient and unsatisfactory for me. Update on 10/17/2013 In response this review, I got a call from the owner of Spiteri. He very patiently explained to me in details, what had happened, and how some that one part ( Wate r Pump) that failed could not have been predicted in advance. During our conversation, most importantly, it was clear that he really cares about his business, the quality of work and professionalism. Even though I had a difficult experience, as I noted, it could be a one off incident.

Overall experience is very good. This is a well-trusted vendor provide good quality and honest opinion on service recommendation. Though the cost associated is in the premium side.

Smog check and they also informed me that my car battery was registering low which my dealership told me earlier that day when I picked up my car. The dealership wanted $199.00 for a new car battery. I purchased a quality battery from Spiteri's for $50.00 less. They had also informed me that 2 of my marker lights were out on the car and that my stering wheel was off slightly. something the dealship did not notice after having my car for 2 days and doing the final warranty check up on it. It did make me wonder about the quality employees my dealership had. Spiteri's staff was polite, professional and I saw several repeat customers come & go as I was waiting for my car. I too will become a repeat customer of theirs.

Spiteri's is a profession organization. The service crew and the people in the front office are responsive to questions and concerns. The price charged may be a bit higher than at other service organizations but I feel that the work can be trusted and is worth the money.

The staff was very responsive and professional. I was standby to get it done after half hour. Also asked about mileage service. On the price side, they probably charge more but you got quality service.

They were very courteous on the phone and seemed like a quality and professional shop. They honored the Angie's List discount coupons. I will go back there again.

When I dropped off my truck, I was offered a ride back home or to work. I had my bike, so didn't need the ride this time. The gentleman at the desk was very thorough and professional. I completely trust this service shop for many reasons but here are the main ones: * It is family owned and operated * The repair orders are extremely detailed and contain recommendations for future work that either needs to be done or should be done, along with an explanation as to why * If you have a budget or money issues, they will tell you what the absolute minimum is that has to be done to maintain your vehicle mechanically and to provide you with complete safety, and list for you what can wait and for about how long * I've never felt pressured to have something done to my truck * They provide courtesy pickup and drop off * Their thoroughness is unmatched

I my Honda (Odyssey) in at 7:30 am paperwork no problems. Sam took care of me. Since i lived a few miles away in Redwood City their shuttle took me home. They called at about 3:00 pm and were all finished.My wife took me to Spiteri's, (they would have come to my house to pick me up if I had wanted them to). I picked up the car Sam explained what was done. Allm went well, excellent service very friendly service people.

Smog inspection done quickly and with a smile. Nice discount with Angie's List. I was impressed with how every customer was treated in the waiting room. I'll definitely return.

They offered a good price on the tires and the car was indeed due for the work so it was great to get it all done. They were professional, nice, efficient and clear.

I would hire this company for a future job, but I really think their prices are a bit high.

They are awesome. I think they have great service and great prices. Their estimates were better than anyone else I've been to. They seem honest, efficient and they were on time. They even offer a shuttle service.

It's great. They are fantastic. I find they are bit pricey but the work is worth it. They are my shop of choice.

I have used them for general auto maintenance. Their work is professional, and prompt. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent. I can highly recommend them, and will certainly plan on using their services in the future.

A positive experience overall with high integrity and quality, but the most expensive place I have tried for autorepair. They even charge just to check out the vehicle's problems. Good place if you need help diagnosing a complex problem on the vehicle given their competence & experience, but may not be best for simple repairs given the price.

Spiteri's is special. It's one of those rare businesses that have all the elements of customer care, superior service, and quality workmanship running in sync. From the moment you walk in the door (where you are greeted with a friendly hello) to a post service phone call to make sure everything is OK you feel like you're in good hands and that you can trust everything they do.

Buyer beware ? this is a total rip-off place. You would do better elsewhere! Went in and told them I needed breaks. They charged me $100+ to tell me I needed breaks. Then charged be double what the dealer would have charged for the same work. In my experience with this place they are not fair and will take advantage of you. They: 1) They charge more than the dealer 2) They misstate things that don't really need repair 3) they will charge you just for "looking" at something even if you tell them what you want done. They hide their thievery in their labor costs - tell you they are selling you the parts at ?below retail", but they get you with excessive labor times at very high rates. They buff up their labor by taking longer to do the job than the factory specs call for. 4) they treat people like they are stupid. Bottom line: If you go there YOU WILL PAY almost DOUBLE of what you should have for nothing better than you could have gotten elsewhere. Buyer beware - they are modern day thieves.

They provide excellent service and they do good work. They are convenient and get the job done. They are very expensive.

I called and got a same day appointment. Since my car is a 1994 it required an additional test at an additional cost. I had a coupon for a discounted smog service and they applied the discount. The waiting area was very clean and inviting and the people pleasant. I was there exactly one hour.

I think they are highly priced. I think they are good about doing preventative work and if you are wanting to put a lot of money in your car then they are good. They are a nice outfit, just way overpriced for me. I think I got over charged for everything to be honest. They said it would be a small amount but then turned out being $400. They are nice and professional, but I think the prices are outrageous.

I called because there was a noise on my front end that I wanted to be diagnosed professionally. They charge just for the inspection, but I wanted to make sure the work was done right. While it was in the shop, they replaced the tires and other items on the front end, which brought the cost to $1,200. They are certainly trustworthy, professional, and provide quality service. However, as others have noted in their reviews, Spitieri's is more expensive than others.
