The install went well, with one small detail forgotten. There was one pole that we needed for mounting something to the fence. That is an easy fix and the installers will come back in a day or two to finish it up. We called several other fencing companies in Tucson and none of them were doing what we were wanting. Although the price seemed high, they did have to dig through some asphalt to mount the poles. In all, it was exactly what we needed and they did a great job installing.

The estimator arrived on the agreed upon date and time. He measured the area. My mother is elderly and does not have a computer. She asked for photos or sample of materials. These were not provided on the first visit. My mother was interested in: a white painted picket fence similar to what a neighbor has, and pointed it out to the estimator. She also expressed interest in vinyl fencing material and cedar wood. The estimator provided my mother with a verbal ball-park estimate of $1200 to $1400. The estimator told my mother that vinyl yellows within 10 years and cannot be repainted. She therefore dropped that as an option and was only interested in estimates for a white painted picket fence and a cedar fence. The estimator claims my mother never told him this. The estimator told my mother he would return with sample materials and/or photos and a date and time was set. He never called, and never showed. Both the owner and the estimator deny this ever happened. In essence, they are calling an elderly woman a liar. My Mother received her written estimate yesterday. There were three options: #1 wooden fence: $4,120 option #2 vinyl (she already had said she did not want vinyl due to reason listed above) $4,666, and option #3 metal fence $3,158. When I phoned the company this morning for information/resolution, I spoke to the owner. He was nice at first. Then he got his estimator on speaker phone with me and essentially blamed us for any misunderstandings and tried to explain the considerable expense of the fence as being due to the need to cut large boards into smaller ones. I question why the estimator did not know this to begin with. The fence is urgently needed. It has been a nightmarish experience.Their behavior has placed undue stress on an elderly woman and made her cry. I find this unconscionable and inexcusable.

We signed a contract in October 2007, gates did not go up until late December 2008. They could not find the material I requested during my initial contact with the salesperson. The walk-through gate was made too narrow for the opening and to "fill in" the gaps they mounted larger support poles on the wall which required them remove stucco from the wall, which they never repaired. The rolling gate would never work properly, never closed and was mounted leaning or tilting. I had to hire a professional engineer to come and make a report to quantifiy the results. I complained to the ROC for years about this but they are extremely slow to respond. ROC ordered them to come and fix the gates but the owner in his arrogance refused so they finally stripped him of his residental licence. That caught his attention but did little to resolved my issues as his resfusal to come back out to my property went on for years. It also didn't help that the lack of professionalism caused an accident to me and I had to end up sueing them. All this and their rudeness to both me and my wife accusing me of wrong doing finally caused me to hire another contractor who totally remove all their gates and put up replacment gates in just 6 short week according to my requirement. Its amazing how good it feels to final be able to use my back yard again. STAY AWAY, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will promise you everything and deliver you nothing.
Description of Work
They were to provide me a walk through gate and a rolling gate for my property. It took them over one year from the signing of the contract to put up the gates and then they were measured incorrectly, poor quality of material and workmanship was poor at best. Promises made by salesperson were totally disregarded by management up through the owner who challenged my wishes through the entire process.

We had them put additional fencing to what we already had; it was for the dogs. They did a great job and I have no complaints. Everything was carried up the way it was supposed to be carried out, and the contract followed through on. We really had nothing to compare their price as we did not get any additional quotes. I would use them again in the future if needed.

I had to take them to the Board of Contractors. They are really horrible. There are several cases against them. The entire bill was over $2000. I paid them about $1100. It is in dispute right now. The inspector found 14 problems that they were supposed to correct and they have not. I got nothing but harrassment, verbal abuse and threats. They are a horrible company. Run as fast as you can the other way and don't call the number or consider them. My block wall is wavy. It has spaces in it where the mortar is bad. They mixed old bricks with new bricks. The workers and supervisor were verbally abusive. One of the workers drank a beer on the job. The poured concrete into the wash. When they finally came to remove it they took away part of the bank in the wash. Someone through the Board found me and said they have had the same problems and have been fighting them for 3 years for a correction. I have been living an entire year without a back gate because they were supposed to fix other problems first. The back gate is boarded up to the wash and we have to walk around the block to our trash in the back. They tried to take us to a collection agency. Once I called the collection agency and wrote a letter and explained this was now in the Board of Contractors hands they dropped the collection claim. In the meanwhile they have not tried to make a correction. I do not want them back on my property because of all the terrible abuse and psychological abuse. The supervisor got in my personal space and argued with me and lied to me. The time they did this part of the concrete wall was blown down by a wind burst. I was recovering from a heart condition and being in the hospital and they knew that. They walked all over my plants, new grass, threw concrete into my organic vegetable beds and never cleaned up after themselves. They would show up for an hour and leave and some days they never showed up when they said they would. Everyone that has seen it can't believe it. When the inspector was here the supervisor insulted him as well. This has been a nightmare. Because I am dealing with hypertension there is only a limited amount I can do to deal with before I get upset. I am living with a boarded up 10 foot opening to the wash because I do not have a gate. I have to live with it until it gets repaired. I had estimates done by other companies to correct the job. I have not heard from the Board yet and they say it can take a while. So this is what I am living with. Now I have other things in my yard that will be an issue in the repair because I had to move on with life.

They removed my wrought iron fence, along with 3 wrought iron gates, and repainted them with the powder coating. The finished product if fantastic. The iron was 10 years old but the new paint job makes it look brand new. They also resinstalled it with lag bolts vs. masonary nails so I can remove it myself in the future if I need to. The only problem I encountered was when the reinstalled the gates. The gates have springs on the hinges that allow them to swing close automatically. These springs require pins in them to set the appropriate tension. 2 of these pins broke upon reinstalling and the guys promised to come back the next day and replace them. So far they haven't shown up and I'll call the company back today. However, I'm not happy that they promised to come back, didn't, and didn't call me to reschedule. Beyond that though this has been a great company to work with.

Security fence bid was about $10K, another contractor about $8K and a third about $6K. The salesman showed us beautiful pictures of commercial and government jobs they have done. We thought the best value would be to pay more for a professional job. The fence started out good but they quickly stopped and took the workers to do a commercial job. The remainder of the work was loose, crooked and posts soon started to pull out of the ground. An additional $2k was required because they had not correctly estimated materials. We received a Preliminary Notice of Lien on the property even though all monies had been paid when requested. We felt the fence was very sloppy and done unprofessionally. The salesman said he would be happy with the fence if it was his. Later, we requested the company president come out but he broke two appointment times saying his car broke down but we note that he has a yard full of fleet vehicles. We were wrong about the higher price being the best value.
Description of Work
We got several bids to fence about 7-1/2 acres with field fencing and two sets of double gates. We supplied Security Fence a copy of a recent legal survey so they could correctly price the job. The salesman came out and did a walk through of the area to be fenced before providing a price.
