Description of Work: I purchased all of my kitchen appliances at Christies approximately 1 year ago. The ice maker dispenser on the fridge stopped working. The service person came out on time, did the work quickly, and didn't charge me for the service, even though I was a few weeks beyond the warrantee

Description of Work: We have often purchased from Christy's and when we needed a new dishwasher, that's where we headed. A new, but returned, model was available, and Christy's offered full warranty, plus substantial discount. The dishwasher did have a problem we discovered after it was installed; the door would not close. A serviceman was immediately sent out, but the part needed to fix it was going to take a week or more to come in. Christy's immediately offered full purchase price credit and delivery of another machine, no "checking with management", plus additional discount. We were very pleased with their top notch customer service.

Description of Work: I have purchased several appliances from Christies in the past. They have always been pretty timely. |This time however, we were looking for an old part. Granted it isn't always easy to find a part for an old appliance but they never called to let me know of any progress they were making - or not making. This has gone on since April 13, 2014. |I had to do the checking in even when I was assured they would "call me right back". |I was very disappointed this time.; Am not certain that I will use them again even though I have been quite satisfied in the past.

+ -1 moreVery smooth easy experience. Was shown some different models, asked some questions, and was able to decide what I wanted. Set up installation on a mutually agreed day. Showed up on time, and did a great job of installing both appliances. Very satisfied.

+ -1 moreThe service call was on time. They give a 2 hour window for you, and will call if that can't be met. The repairman was very honest about the leaking washer. It could be fixed, but it would cost about 65% of what a new washer might cost. He also indicated that the transmission might have been damaged because of the leak, or might show problems sooner than expected. His quote did not cover that. I asked about the expectancy of this model. He said between 10 and 12 years, so all in all it seemed like I needed to go shopping for a new washer. I had read consumer reports recently, and asked for his recommendation on a good unit, and he immediately said Whirlpool. Consumer Reports had recommended them also (among others) and said they were very reliable, which is important to me. One other thing I really liked was that if you came into Christie's and bought an appliance after paying a service call, they give you a $25 coupon towards the washer, so that service call really cost $37.
Description of Work: I called a number of appliance repair companies, got quotes and an estimate on when they could look at my leaking washer. Christie's was able to get there in a reasonable time, already had the model number on record (I bought the Armana washer from them 10 years ago) and there quote was competitive. They came as scheduled, examined the washer and gave me a quote for the repair. I decided not to have the washer fixed, as it was over 230 dollars, and other problems could still be there after the leak was fixed with the new seals. I paid $62 for the service call.
